Other games that have physical DLC are tcg games like Magic the Gathering: Arena and Pokemon TCG online, where buying packs physically gave you a code to put into the games to recieve a pack for free in-game. Another example is Webkins, where you had to register pets to the game by phisically buying the plush at a retailer like walmart to even play the game. Lastly, Amiibo unlock special bonus’s in games like in Mario Party 10, where an entire mode was locked behind scanning them in.

@@KodiakDunne I'd just looked up a walkthrough for the 2001 pc version and you unlock a baseball that you get to throw at one point.
Holy cow, and the ending is basically just NGE. Truly one of the greatest works of art to grace this world.
