- How to find the zombie kerfur:
1. have a (regular) kerfur
2. wait for the possed kerfur event
3. with some probability the zombie kerfur will spawn and will dig itself out eventually
I've spawned a ton of kerfurs in sandbox to have a high chance of triggering the zombie kerfur spawn, so don't mind them. Multiple zombie kerfurs can spawn in one playthrough.
My kerfus had left to repair servers and never came back. A few days later I hear this thing's chirp in the middle of the night. It was like those horror stories of pets running off into the woods, only to return "different".
you can go find your kerfus in the woods somewhere check the radar, the zombie kerfus isnt the same as yours
he appeared in my world on his own, I didn't dig him up, that is, he just went and killed me

Spawning the pile of landmines and then they instantly explode as soon as you try to touch them was just peak looney tunes comedy.
"oh sick a kerfus" *starts bleeding* "WHAT THE F-"
The part with it stabbing frantically at you from over a railing as it bumbles onto a landmine felt like a cinematic finale to the ordeal. Like, holy shit this thing is so cursed I love it.
According to what others have told, you can still Damage Zombie Kerfur once it is down by walloping it again and again before it can engage it's next phase.
This allows you to deal the hurt without being hurt too much yourself. This also allows you to save on your molotovs.
Cant wait for the librarian to find this and see how he reacts l o l

@@Spazmatizmusit’s orange, has a different face to other kerfurs, and plays a different, lower pitched sound on activation. Also can’t be disassembled to make a KerferO version, unfortunately
If you've poked arround in sandbox, you might have come across an "orange++" kerfur and the model looks similar to the abandoned one so maybe there is a way to repair it somehow?
Nvm turns out that when you defeat it you can buy the orange one in the store for 400 points

Why would you want to buy one after it tried to kill you in a 3 phase boss fight?
@@ltraltier6009 I haven't tested much but I think is faster than the regular kerfur. Also, it's 100 points cheaper and once defeated is unlocked forever in every savefile so when starting a new save I can get one faster. However it can't be broken down into parts and funnily enough, it can also be possesed and summon the boss.

Someone actually took a look at the health values for each phase:
1 is at 1000 HP
2 is at 666 HP
3 is at 333 HP

@@asra-5180 I misread. It's 1000 HP, second phase starts at 666hp and third at 333hp. Still a fuckton of health tho

@@damaton I don’t know if it’s even possible to kill that in story mode without dev tools and god mode. This guy spawned hundreds of explosives to kill it and I saw another video of someone whacking it with a crowbar for 4 minutes until it finally died. And you can’t just stay behind it, that spike can lobotomize you from all angles

based on the markings on it Im pretty sure one of the many demons in this game is to blame for this...
I like the concept of this but he has effectively soft locked my game and now I'm waiting forthe insomnia demon to get me so i can get my stamina back while sitting on the roof
same, i like the idea but i hate this event. it pretty much ruined my save and it happened way too early for me to have any viable way of killing it.

@@tpd1864blake You pour gas into an empty bottle (aperantly you need to turn the bottle upside down for it to be emptied)
It stops momentarily when it tried to stab you, you get hits in then with the crowbar or shovel. Takes forever tho
@@zombyxd99 yeah I’ve had a moment to experience it myself now. It’s actually easier to dodge than expected, but once it gets to phase 3 it’s way too fast to run away from or dodge and you’re basically required to use molotovs, but it never tutorializes you that you can even make molotovs and it’s unlikely you’d discover it yourself since the way to make it is very unintuitive in that you have to tilt the bottle upside down to drink it since drinking the bottle doesn’t actually empty it. Lol basically what I’m saying is Librarian and Joel are probably going to need help from their audience when they encounters this

This and SkerfurO are legitimately some of the scariest additions to the game! Kerfus (especially Omega-Kerfus) is my sanctuary. He brings me comfort knowing I’m not alone. Seeing him twisted and corrupted into some unholy demon is beyond disturbing!

I found my kerfus turned off near a lump of flesh, the next day my kerfus being turned off (it was charged but I just couldn’t turn it on) it reached a new lump of flesh which just appeared and started interacting with it as a server, I tried to take it away but he just walked towards them, I threw the lump of flesh to another place, but Kerfus continued to interact with the place where the lump of flesh had previously been.
The landscape was very uneven and he fell and could not complete the process, at one point I was able to turn it on and Kerfus became normal, I took a piece of meat and burned it in a huge oven,the first piece of flesh still lies there, a week has passed and nothing strange has happened during this time
Ive been actively trying to encounter this boss, but alas i have had no luck :(
