The Line 6 Catalyst CX 60 is a super affordable and sonically flexible 60-watt, 1x12 combo with incredible sounds from the popular HX platform. The two-channel Catalyst CX 60 offers 12 amp voices and 24 effects derived from the Helix family of processors, a 60W-30W-0.5W power output control with mute (for tailoring the roar to the room), a headphone jack (for silent practicing), USB connectivity (turns the amp into an audio interface for recording) and increased editing power via the free Line 6 Catalyst Edit app.
“When I first started playing with the Catalyst CX 60, I really liked the familiarity of the effects because I had been running my guitar through a Line 6 Helix,” says Los Angeles guitarist and multi-instrumentalist Tiana Ohara (boygenius, Conan Gray). “It was very comfortable using sounds I had already worked with. The CX 60 is versatile-it’s great for any musical setting-and I can see myself using it around town playing local gigs. It’s an easy amp to carry and it’s also a clean pedal platform.”

What's your favorite setting on the Catalyst CX 60? Let us know in the comments below!🤘🎸
I‘m a low level player and only used a Blackstar HT5TH 2x10 without any pedals and it was ok for me. Last year I bought a Catalyst 200 and I was shocked by the sound and the presence. From an emotional point of view the Catalyst is equal or even better than the Blackstar-Amp and… I only play clean without any fancy settings.
Great chordal playing Tiana!
The Catalyst series from Line 6 is known for not sounding particularly good, probably due to the speaker rather than the modeling itself.
This is very unfortunate because I had the Spider Valve Mark III combo in collaboration with Bogner, and I also have the head amp, which is amazing. I don't understand why Line 6 can't do better when they have the experience and talent.
I still remember when I started playing guitar at 17 or 18. It was the beginning of modeling, and this brand was really the best at that time, producing some incredible products.
I haven't had the chance to test this particular amp, but from what I hear and the comments, even the Fender GTX sounds better than this.
Are there people here who have tried it and have a more nuanced opinion on the new models? I'm curious to hear.
Awesome cleans and effects , great crunch,
nothing special for high gain sounds
actually there is this video doesn’t show that well I have the old version this is probably better
It's voiced a little different for the additional high gain tone.. like the original high gain tone, New one is cool though
Very uninspiring amp, don't get it
Awful demo.....typical guitar center playing!
Not an Amp for a world class guitarist, a lot of people just start out and want a decent sound to begin with. Humble a little, not everyone is a star guitarist
