    Thanks so much for this video. It's full of info that I need to repot my curry plant. I haven't repot mine for almost 5 years as I was too scared to disturb its roots. Now I am more confident to repot mine. 😊 Thanks again

    my mom gave me a baby plant in one of the worst dirt ever, I planted it in the ground back of my house, it is such a gaint tree, huge seeds and flowers. I barely use it. I love the tree, I barely take care of it but it keeps growing.

      Yeah they dont need much attention when there are planted in tropical places. We are in zone 8a and it very hard for tropical plants to survive the winter outdoor. Thats why curry plants are more precious among cold area gardeners😊

    I just received a curry leaf plant from a friend and would like to plant it. The video was very informative. I would like to know if I should keep the plant indoors at a sunny window. The temp here falls to 50 degrees Fahrenheit during the night.

    • @rootstosprouts6278
      @rootstosprouts6278  3 года назад +1

      If the temp drops below 50s, it is better to move any tropical plant to indoor. Or you can secure them in greenhouse, if you have one.

      You can sprinkle around the plants. But adding diluted epsom salt water helps the plant to observe instantly. 2 tbsp epsom salt for a gallon of water.

    • @rootstosprouts6278
      @rootstosprouts6278  2 года назад

      Hi Lakshmi, you can plant it in the ground based on your location/zone. I am in zone 8 and I didn't tried it personally since we have few severe drops during winter. Above zone 9 will be good for them to go to ground without much winter care or maintenance.

    Hi I have started a curry leaf plant with cutting its 3 months old has 3 branches but hasn’t grown a lot someone advised me to repot it which I did but to my great surprise there was no roots 🤔Mayb very tiny ones, my potting mix is vermicelite, coco peat, compost and cow manure all equal parts, I still repotted it, do u think it will survive, I am so worried as I will never be able to get another cutting, I live in the uk, please help

    • @rootstosprouts6278
      @rootstosprouts6278  3 года назад +1

      If your stem doesnt have roots, remove the leaves from the bottom inch of your cutting and insert the stem into a potting mix, burying just the single inch of bare stem under the soil.( leave one or two strands on top for photosynthesis, if you have more leaves, plant will concentrate more on leaves than roots) curry leaves like moist soil, so don't water regularly unless weather is very hot and also keep the plant warm for the first three weeks until the plant takes root and you see new growth. Please share your curry plant picture to roots2sprouts@gmail.com.. it will be more easier to suggest proper advice than giving generic information. Thank you. Happy Gardening 😊

      2 yrs old plant is still Young. The parent plant should have stabilized roots to produce pups. So wait till next year. Still if you didn't get one, try to add fertilizer in regular intervals. It should work.

      Hi, not sure zone you are in. If your zone get peak winter, I won't recommend to plant in ground. You may continue to grow your plant in pot. Like what I did. And once it grows little bigger, try to repot to avoid root bounding.

      Try to add some diluted butter milk with 1:10 ratio. Not sure whats going on. And add banana, oil peal water as well. it will enrich the nutrition in the soil.

    • @rootstosprouts6278

      Normally you should do repotting in the evening so overnight it will settle with pruned roots and if you think it is too hot. Keep them in 4-6 hrs sun for few day and move them back where it was.
