my mom gave me a baby plant in one of the worst dirt ever, I planted it in the ground back of my house, it is such a gaint tree, huge seeds and flowers. I barely use it. I love the tree, I barely take care of it but it keeps growing.
Yeah they dont need much attention when there are planted in tropical places. We are in zone 8a and it very hard for tropical plants to survive the winter outdoor. Thats why curry plants are more precious among cold area gardeners😊
Good afternoon, Roots To Sprouts. it is beautifully top video. thank. :)
Amazing video! I learned a lot today. I just couldn’t save a single plant in 15 years!!! I know why 😃
That's great! Thank you
Nice video! How do you take care of scales on the curry plant?
Thank you
Great video but just a quick note that the background musics here is sounds very grave and makes it difficult to continue watching. Changing it may result in repeat watching etc. highly recommend changing the background being used.
Thank you for your suggestions
Thank you so much for this informative video. Did you replant in a bigger pot or the same size?

Thanks a lot
Great information. Can you please do a video on curry plant diseases(scales aphids and many more) and remedies. How to recognize it early. My plant was attacked by scales and it took toll on my plant. Was able to recue it. Wish knew it earlier to spot the problem. Thanks in advance !
Sure will address your concern very soon in one of our video. Thanks for your support.
I just received a curry leaf plant from a friend and would like to plant it. The video was very informative. I would like to know if I should keep the plant indoors at a sunny window. The temp here falls to 50 degrees Fahrenheit during the night.
If the temp drops below 50s, it is better to move any tropical plant to indoor. Or you can secure them in greenhouse, if you have one.
@@rootstosprouts6278 Thank you very .
Very good Information video 👍
Thank you
Thank you for the informative video. I recently repotted my curry leaf plant. Can I now add epsom salt on the top surface of the soil? I already added the worm compost to the potting mix while repotting. Thank you in advance 😊
You can sprinkle around the plants. But adding diluted epsom salt water helps the plant to observe instantly. 2 tbsp epsom salt for a gallon of water.
Hi ,very good way of explanation .very good video too.can plant the curry on ground if we have enough space?will it be effected by the weather condition in winter?
Hi Lakshmi, you can plant it in the ground based on your location/zone. I am in zone 8 and I didn't tried it personally since we have few severe drops during winter. Above zone 9 will be good for them to go to ground without much winter care or maintenance.
Good to know
Hi I like you video i was just wondering what materials you used and where I can find them, thank you!
You can get most of them in near by nursery
Materials are Beam cake powder, epson salt, worm casting, perlite and new potting soil.
Need description of preparing soil to replant. What if baby plants are not developing in my container? What ingredients are you recommending? Generic names will be helpful. Thanks
What is wormcast pl
Hi I have started a curry leaf plant with cutting its 3 months old has 3 branches but hasn’t grown a lot someone advised me to repot it which I did but to my great surprise there was no roots 🤔Mayb very tiny ones, my potting mix is vermicelite, coco peat, compost and cow manure all equal parts, I still repotted it, do u think it will survive, I am so worried as I will never be able to get another cutting, I live in the uk, please help
If your stem doesnt have roots, remove the leaves from the bottom inch of your cutting and insert the stem into a potting mix, burying just the single inch of bare stem under the soil.( leave one or two strands on top for photosynthesis, if you have more leaves, plant will concentrate more on leaves than roots) curry leaves like moist soil, so don't water regularly unless weather is very hot and also keep the plant warm for the first three weeks until the plant takes root and you see new growth. Please share your curry plant picture to roots2sprouts@gmail.com.. it will be more easier to suggest proper advice than giving generic information. Thank you. Happy Gardening 😊
Super! This is exactly the video I was looking for!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! 🙏
Thanks
I have this in a pot an it grow slowly full sun but no growth
Hi mine is two years old plant its growing well but not getting the baby plants can you give me a good suggestion and we live in a cold pace and in the winter we will place the plant inside near sun room tq.
2 yrs old plant is still Young. The parent plant should have stabilized roots to produce pups. So wait till next year. Still if you didn't get one, try to add fertilizer in regular intervals. It should work.
tq very much very informative.
Please indicate the quantities of ingredients used e.g how much Epsom salt and others added.
I have very small curry plant in pot, when I should transfer it in ground. Do I need any specific way to repot in ground or, I shall follow the same procedure. Thanks again.
Hi, not sure zone you are in. If your zone get peak winter, I won't recommend to plant in ground. You may continue to grow your plant in pot. Like what I did. And once it grows little bigger, try to repot to avoid root bounding.
Hi , I repotted my 2 yr old curry leaf plant after heavy pruning in spring. Plant is completely bare now with no new leaves whatsoever after 3 months. Kindly share your thoughts on how to care for the plant. TIA 🙏
Try to add some diluted butter milk with 1:10 ratio. Not sure whats going on. And add banana, oil peal water as well. it will enrich the nutrition in the soil.
Where can I get the cutting or seed to start the curry plant?
You can find in most of the asian nursery. Or you can orders from online stores like seeds of India and other online stores
It is necessary to keep the plant in shade area after repoting
Normally you should do repotting in the evening so overnight it will settle with pruned roots and if you think it is too hot. Keep them in 4-6 hrs sun for few day and move them back where it was.
Thank u very much
