- We stopped at our local International dealership " Border International Trucks" to take a look at the all new 2018 LT. Beautiful and innovative truck! Let us know your thoughts!
Thank you, Sir.
I worked for a International Truck Dealer from 1987-2000.
Made a decent living fixing trucks.
love the international trucks! drove them for abt 15 years... absolutely reliable has long as u take care of them!
This video is legit. If someone custom built a truck for me, this would be it. I've been in one for 2 weeks. The Cummins Engine is nice.
Love international pro star.
386k still going strong. It all depends how you care and keep it serviced. Last truck was a eagle package with 980k with one over head job on it. I’ve been very well pleased with them.
I work for a major distribution company and we are replacing all manuals with automatics. It makes good business sense from a maintenance and workers comp perspective.
dang i miss my international thats a beauty
Also one of the new cabovers and new conventional I drove the roofs leaked and the headliner filled with water when it rained
International are gonna be big with help of the wolksvagen Group , and Scania Engines who have one of the only v8 for trucks , now up to 730 hp
Magnus Lonnb wow can't imagine how bad the mpg is
www.scania.com/global/en/home/products-and-services/trucks/our-range/v8/performance.html
Automatics are fine. No biggie.. But it's still a Prostar with a few new components. The reliability and durability will deteriorate rapidly after 100k.
Its a nice truck that's for sure.specially that engine.but I'm a freightliner die hard.salutes from southern California.bro
Vic Med frieghtliner are great trucks, awesome turning radius, smooth engines and transmissions but no compartments to put anything in, in their daycabs.
Frightshakers are nothing but a pile of junk.
My boss got suckered into leasing 3 2013. So far he has put a not 20k into 2 of them at it's only been like 4 months. Each truck has about 300k miles and things are failing left and right. Just for an alternator on mine it was 2,400 for the alternator not including labor. I was down for 5 days waiting just to get one. These trucks are very expensive to maintain.
Nice truck
The mirrors on the 2018 LT series suck the vibrate and fall out while driving
Please bring back the tilting bumper
Probably the international manufacturers need to take al look in europe and see how to design suspenssions, transmissions and drive lines...
Better than T680 on fuel and backing into docks (award). Luxury interior (award), but it's a sardine can. Need a bunk for gear, ecm programmed for tourists, Cruising at 70 will cause DPF issues, crawls hills, no reason for idle shutdown, park Regen is supposed to work. Look at step to door you can see how much they squeeze you to get fuel savings, Kenworth should be worried, very nice truck and thousands cheaper. Pack light, or get extra tool boxes watch front axle weights. 7.2 @ 30K
can i have that truck without a down payment i would miss the shift stick
Sure looks like a Highway tractor should save a lot money in fuel costs
muy buena explicación
Ill keep my manuals thank you
How much that truck cost
Would be nice if they put a pull out table on sleeper cabs. Nothing. You
eat on your lap and drops food on the chair in between your thighs.
Would like a space for commonly used things like gloves, thumper, and
flash light by the fire extinguisher side. My gloves keep dropping out
and missing. A keyless entry on those small side doors, A MORE VISIBLE
SIGNAL LIGTHS ON THE SIDES, a redesigned dashboard indicator lights. I
cant see if Im on high beam, or in cruise control.
The
placement of the switches I suggest should be redesigned. The emrgency
or fourway switch is too far and i happen to press the SUSP/DUMP. The
seldom used switches like the Diferential Lock, Traction control, etc...
are rarely used and therefore should not be near the drivers reach.
When
rainy, my gloves and the spares gets wet. If only theres a space to
warm up the gloves or shoes like a dry space under the footsteps or near
the battery area. If INTERNATIONAL accepts criticism from drivers,
their trucks would turn out to be the best among trucks
The only problem I see when running co phase antennas electrically they are supposed to be 8 feet apart to work and around no metal for SWR to match it’s not going to be a very good antenna system at all
Driven 3 of these OTR and NONE OF THEM had shelves. What the hell is up with that?
Dirty Dog, your company was too cheap to order them.
Pricing why does no body mention pricing
Puede apoyarme en algunos internacional prostar modelos 2015 tengo detalles con calentamiento de transmisión caja, inter, y diferencial ya se le hizo cambio de aceites
what no woodgraiin dash.
that second bed if he dosent flip it sucks! because when i'm sit in my bed i like to have some light...and those 2 light under the bed are to strong and to much in my face... another things that international should do..we are in 2018 and everybody have flat screen.. put a rack for that tv on the wall. those feet stand on the tv always broke because it shake so much in those international truck...i know i broke my in my 2014 prostar... now i have a 2016 lonestar and my second bed flip so i have put a tv rack on the cabinet... i really think its still a prostar with a different name and a different dashboard..i'm not impressed with that...i think western star and even freight liner have really improve there trucks compare to international.
thanks for the review
Stephane Rheaume, the new LTs have a flat screen mounting bracket available as an option.
I feel like it's alot more similar to the Western Star 5700 than any other international truck. But yet again Western Star and International Trucks are owned by the same company...
Tanner Robinson Wrong on both accounts. Western Star and Freightliner are owned by Daimler. International is owned by Navistar.
Why you talking show me the truck from outside
I'm ok with my century freightshaker
Nice but its still an international
Matthew Scarberry I agree that international engines suck, they lack reliability. But Im a former dump truck driver, international chassis are pretty tough. I think if you spec one with a Cummins and 13 or 18 spd, you would have a damn good truck. International also has the largest dealership infrastucture, thats a good thing.
I only like 9300
Danje DeSouza u know very little about trucks and dependability reliability and cost keep pounding pavement in youre 9300 i dont give a blank what u like
Danje DeSouza 9300 is now the 9900, same truck
The one I'm in has a Cummins 15.
That location for the cb antennas is trash, sorry. Those things scream super high swr’s. I got a 2018 International LT as my first truck and plan on doing a fender mount with a Hustler antenna.
Still waiting on my truck to be delivered to Hogan Leasing in Indianapolis. The company I work for signed a new lease but the truck is already a month late. Driving a Mack while waiting. It rides great, but all newer trucks are crap because of the DEF systems. Why did we allow this crap sandwich to be forced down our throats? With all the new regulations, the industry is going to have trouble for a long time.
another things..that colison equipement its so a pain in the *** ... it is just anoying and make driver impatient... i hope you can shut down the beeping of that crap!! i'm a canadian and drived a lot in winter condition... because of the stuff they put on dry raod to prevent ice when that captor come dirty my cruise contrôle wont work. and i'm not talking full of snow in a winter storm, i'm talking in a sunny winter day. finally i wished my compagny would buy somethings else but they are cheap and buy cheap truck.
They need to make it so that when you sit down or lay down you don’t have to wake up or get up to a Bed in over your head that would be more comfortable this truck is not designed for a truck driver I disagree there is no Confort I think no grown man should wake up feeling like he’s under a bunkbed with his little brother or sister sorry it’s a nice truck Billy look good but it doesn’t look comfortable
I've driven all kind of trucks in the past 41 years international isn't a bad truck but I drove them for walmart and they are the worst riding trucks I ever drove when they ride worse than a freightliner that says alot
No matter what hey say they ruin their reputation with max force, international? No thanks.
How many of you actually think this thing looks good? And why do U.S trucks have those studid looking mirrors on the bonnet?
C M to look at the blind spot along the front tires particulary the right front tire
manual or automatic that truck is a joke sitting down on the drive seat is very uncomfortable and u probably would have more space on the electric chair
Le vas al chiva
The truth is they come with a black box in the windshield and a radar thatll tell u how fast the vehicle in front of you is going. If youre too close to them or if theyre going 1mph slower than you for around 1 truck length itll beep at you. Very annoying. Itll beep at you all day long even if you drive it the right way for other reasons. Youre better off sticking with your prostar than to put up with this annoying piece.
Bull shit ! I drive a 2017 LT day cab & I can certainly say that they DID NOT design that truck for the driver. I cannot come up with one thing that that I like about it.
My company assigned me one of these trucks and it’s probably one of the most miserable trucks I’ve ever driven, especially bobtail. The shifting is easily the slowest in the industry. The transmission is a straight idiot. Eaton Fuller should stick with standard transmissions because they have no idea what they’re doing with their automated manuals.
I’m almost positive the truck will limit power depending on weight because when I’m bobtailing, it’s dangerously slow. There’s no way it’s giving you full power. It’s a disgusting truck. If your company tried to give you one, ask for a different manufacture. Trust me.
All I know is standard and I truly believe if we look at statistics I believe automatic trucks are and will be more involved in accidents then manuals. One if you can't drive a manual I personally don't believe you should be on the road till you can and two it just seems like it would be easy to get lazier and sleepier with these automatics. I will find out soon. Right now I drive a kenworthr680 10speed but our company are transferring to these trucks.
James Adkins, so with zero experience with automated transmissions, you’re somehow an expert?
Are y'all hiring a bilingual presentor?
Nice truckbut is a def piece a junk full of computer and problems sorry
Thanks for calling what it is more shit that can go wrong.
I’d get the International LT with Automatic Transmission and the Cummins ISB6.7L Engine
Chanse Ormon that's not a
Option
Throw away truck. 5 years and it's being recycled into milk jugs.
Inter trashinal will never own another one the egr motors are crap and so is the maxfarce
Bullshit I buy the international truck they turn off every five minutes truck it suck
Manuals are better
auto sucks rather have a 13 speed pro shift its got to be Mack international sucks
Can you please repeat everything in english 😀 why do both of you have a just crossed the border accent, embarrassment for the Raza man, I could've done that presentation way better. Oh LT is made with cheap parts.
Meme Martinez dumbass
Dumbass
International is trash wouldn’t waste money on that
I rather have a Mack
Macks are more or less day-cab trucks, so you really have no argument.
Rebadged volvos.
