Inspired me to dig the carpet set out that I bought a few months ago and lay it all out flat in the living room to settle before I try fitting and glueing it. If I can get the dashboard back in this weekend then I might also get the carpets in. Keep up the good work!
Thank you for the complement. I think I do a pretty rubbish job with my videos, hahaha. I have just subscribed to your channel, hopefully you'll do a better job of presenting than I do. I'm looking forward to seeing you make a start. Johnny
They were so tightly glued down that they tore as I took them off. Th be honest, it didnt occur to me to save them, otherwise I would have put some heat on them to soften the glue
Hi, I found isopropel quite good. it doest harm the paintwork as thinners or acetone does. The other really good product is Panel Wipe which you can get from paint shop which also doesnt affect the paint
Smart move buying the formed tunnel! Nothing worse than a raised crease in the carpet that catches the eye. Job well done
Theres nothing worse than creasy carpets 😄

Fantastic work on your car and channel. Your setting the standard I'd love to achieve someday. Just got an MGB so this will be helpful to me

Looking good 👍 all your hard work is starting to show💪👍
Getting near the end at last
That went in well Johnny; I suspect when you put the seats in they will push and hold a few things in place!
Ive got a feeling a lot of the carpet will relax into shape after a while
Excellent stuff Johnny
Getting there slowly
You should have a roller to put it down
Floors look good!
I'm lucky they were in pretty good condition to begin with. I'd hate to have to change a floorpan
@@treetopspider I've just done mine. Wasn't that bad.
Looks very nice. Hope you were able to save the rubber sill covers intact, they are NLA and highly sought after.

I’m going to be attempting this soon. I have a lot of old glue left on the metal - any tricks you know of to get it off?

Nice carpet set 👍
MGB hive have been excellent. Everything they supply is spot on
@@treetopspider yes I agree I have been purchasing lots of parts from them for my MGB roadster
is the floor custom or you buy it ?
The carpet set was bought. This one was of a higher quality with a moulded shape transmission tunnel.
Looks great…. I would have scuffed up the painted areas, wiped down with Lacquer Thinner before applying glue… but that’s me OCD.
I had thought of it I would have done exactly what you said. This has now caused my OCD to kick in haha
