Hello, Today, I am not able to detect this device in the software. What could be a possible reason? Earlier, it was detectable by the software. Please help.
Is there a way to make this USR-TCP232-306 show up as a Windows COM1: device so I can use Windows based software that is looking for COM1: to connect to?
Hi! Is there a way to use two of these servers, so I can connect Ethernet on one side, then go through serial, and on the other side go from serial to Ethernet again? This way, I would have Ethernet, then two of these back-to-back, and again Ethernet.
using this convertor- 1st device is ethernet- take to USR unit- then to RS485 wiring to another RS485 connected to another USR unit far away , then back to ethernet connection to allow comm. between the two devices ? thanks John
Good afternoon. This device's RS-232 port has the following option for connecting signals on the port contacts - a three-wire connection without flow control and power supply to the instrument interface - RX, TX, GND signals, power supply by DCD, DSR, CTS signals???
If you like me have a charge controller for a "solar system" that sends all its data to a server in China. That means that the data then have to be typed in to Excel in order to do any long term analysis of the system's performance because the Chenese server only keeps one month worth of data. However, if I can intercept the datastream I can store it using IoTstack but I can also use mqtt to control the various functions of the charge controller. 😁
I used them to connect older cash registers to CCTV cameras so it would print the items scanned/price etc on the recorded footage. brilliant wee bit of kit
This has been a very useful device by working as a TCP server for serial rs232/485 and modbus!

Hi is the microcontroller board with the accelerometer and Dsub a bought part, this would be very handy to test Serial comms ,
The dongle was from Sparkfun but is now retired as RS232 ports have faded away and replaced by USB ports.

@@0033mer Thanks, may have to look at building something similar,

Can I send commands to a serial device using ur settings? I'm receiving data from device but it won't send the commands
Hi I need to load Firmware V4020 for this model. Do you know how to do it. I could not find anything on the manufacturer's website. Thanks in advance.
How can these data be sent via mqtt?
What a neat solution.
Where I can get the Driver for the device?
Always interesting - Thank you.
Welcome!
Ethernet port support 100mbps ? My new switch only support 100/1000/2500
Supports 10/100 Mbps
Thank you@@0033mer
What price this unit

sorry, why on earth would anyone ever need this??
There are quite a few applications, secure long range sensor telemetry is a very common use case
