Thank you. I was getting very confused about the walking foot. I knew on my other Janome I was able to do decorative stitches. And you made it so I understood. Thanks again.
Did you get one of the first M7's on the market? It may not have gotten the update to version 1.11. (I believe that's the number, I'm at home and can't double check) Get in touch with your dealer. It's a simple software update via USB.
Because the Acufeed helps move those layers through evenly by having an "upper feed dog" as layers get fed through more aggressively on any machine from the bottom. That's why the top layer seems to be longer than the bottom as you reach the end of a seam.
This video saved my sanity! Thank you so very much!! I knew there had to be a way to use decorative stitches with that foot 😅

SO SO helpful and an “OH WOW” moment. Thank you Amy and Janome.
I wondered why my accufeed wasn’t engaging - now I know! Thank you 😊
You are so welcome!
Omgoodness thank you for this. I was getting so frustrated with my walking & I knew it was user error; I just couldn't figure it out. Perfect timing!
I'm glad to help!
Thank you...this was a very good presentation about the manual dual feed for this machine!
Thanks for your tutorials. And Happy New Year !
Thank you Amy 😻
Very good video, thank you

@@AmyQuilts Thank you! I found out how to update and got it done! So happy with this option, thank you for presenting it!
Since the M7 can sew through so many layers of thick fabric so easily, why does it even need this foot?
