  • Team WWIIMD visited last seasson the former battlefields of the eastern front, where heavy fighting took place in early 1945. In the search for war relics we discovered some amazing finds that we will share in our newest battlefield research video. We found items like German combat awards, German helmets, Waffen SS items, MG34 / weapon parts etc.
    We also found equipment pieces and other interesting things that were left behind in the woods after the war.

    I like the "respectfullness" in your videos. When you show the items in their original context it is clear that not everybody wearing a swastika was hardcore fanatical nazis. A lot were just ordinary men, brothers, husbands, fathers and sons.

      Well I'm into the WWII stuff and history and even if I would totally agree with you for the wehrmacht, I would be alittle more measured about SS troops... ( I don't say that you say the reverse, but the video is about SS stuff as well :) )
      By the way, I love that channel.

    On the one hand, I find watching such documentaries thrilling, but on the other, it makes me depressed: my two grandfathers and my father were World War II officers, but despite their apparent external intactness, they returned with massive psychological damage (war traumas) which had a lasting negative impact on their entire later life.

    • @ctlspl
      @ctlspl 3 года назад

      Same with my grandpas. Besides that they were spat on when the returned home. Their traumas were also passed to my parents (be abseifend behavior) and they still impact even me. War cripples even the survivors mentally and generations to come. Never again.

    Guys .. first, thanks for those videos! Metal detecting is an very interessting and sometimes dangerous hobby. It is often an important process of coming to terms with the past. Some founds are important for institutions like "Deutsche Kriegsgräberfürsorge". With founds like the dog tags, you can solve the search for fallen soldiers, who are missing in action till today. I've seen a few of you're videos in the last hour and they make me very thoughtful. Every item you've found has it own story - every item belongs to somebody or a group. Many, many men killed in action of both sides - we should never forget. Brave men died in this sensless war.
    Greetings form Germany.....

      The Germans should never bend over to not serving pork in their schools simply because jerks like you decide to take advantage of their hospitality as immigrants. Fix your own crap countries instead of telling everyone else how to live. You sir are a rude idiot and stink like an Al-Queda troll of the worst kind.
