    My Grandfather was 6th SS he watched some of your videos and was brought to tears by what your bringing up. He thought it would all be rusted away by now. We've watched all your videos now. He thanks you and I thank you. -Your American friends

      I wish he could see further videos. We recently took a trip back to Germany and he passed away in his sleep on the first night. I figured he was at peace being home.

    That is correct, fieldgraves were sometimes marked with a helmet. This was just a single helmet on the bottom of a foxhole.

    Sorry I meant wood's. Nice find's though. My uncle was in the Heer in WW2. Werner Ziegler. Part of some panzer brigade.
    Anyway just wanted to compliment you guy's for taking the time to go through the history. thank you. Nicholas Ziegler.
    my familie is from SE Germany. I'd be lucky to be in Germany period, lol.

    Omg. What a special find regarding that SS buckle. Too beautiful and in perfect condition. Bless the soldier who wore that and may all their brave Souls RIP. Salute and Respect. You are not forgotten. It pains to think how they died suffering, alone and in pain away from their parents, family, wives. Truly war was so sad and traumatic

    Hi shtookatz, it's not the first time we only find the helmet-shells and boltless K98's. Loose bolts are also no rarity.

    Very true. Love this, walking in the history its just something big that i cant say. Just to see this even i never be there or walk there the feeling its strong. And even more to see and touch does historical artifacts were does man fight with honor. Just WOW. I just try to imagine what happen in there. The real story in the place. My Big respect and peace !!!

    No, only those K98's and LP. But if we do find a missing soldier, we will make a good video of the official excavation.

    Hey Bertus, mooi dat je het kan waarderen. De NH-duinen zijn ook interessant, maar valt tegenwoordig niet mee, moet erg je best doen voor een leuke relic.

    The Soviets did not bother to bury dead Germans, they just left them lying around. Also a good deterrent.

    Also, did you find the luftwaffe saber pommel in the same spot as all the other stuff? Why would that be there amidst the other artifacts?

    Zelf opgegroeid in Kennemerland,ijmuiden was Atlantic Wall HQ & U-Boat Basis,genoeg te vinden,ammo zelfs helmen..,maar dit is echt "The Real Deal".

    What type of metal detector u re using? I m interested in starting this summer in Moldavia. I know one place where the russians broke the german front during the Iassy-Kissinev offensive and it s a lot of gear left. Cheers for that!

    Nice finds, but how come the helmets have no remains of liners inside, just the metal ring? The rifles don't seem to have bolts, I'm wondering if this was a place where 'junk' was discarded?
