  • Our tech manager Chris walks you through how to quickly replace the keyways on your Tellis dropper post. These keyways are a wear item and can be damaged from crashes or abrupt impacts to the saddle. The keyways will shear first to avoid any damage to the lower tube and as such is designed to be quick, inexpensive and straightforward to fix.

I love this company. Had an issue with my Tellis, they sent replacement parts and are VERY easy in communication!

How does one replace the collar/seal? there is a step in the inner post I can't seem to get past. I'm worried i'll damage it.

Hi Larry, Thank you for the message. Once you remove the keyways and the upper + lower bushing you slide the collar & seal down over that step. The seal is pliable so is designed to be slid over that step for installation & removal. When installing the new seal+collar, make sure the stanchion is clean and apply some suspension grease to it and the seal as this will make it easier to slide over the stanchion. After it's installed you can proceed with installing the keyways & upper/lower bushing.
There's another video you should also check out as it's a quicker way to do the simple service & seal/keyway replacement without removing the post from the bike. I've included a link to that video below for yow. Let me know if you have any further questions!
