    I'm gonna do this today, Steve you are the best! I have watched your head drawing lecture multiple times and every time I go back to it I grab something new from it. So, thanks NMA for these videos

    i want to implement this practice, which sketchbook is the master using? for what i see is toned and the paper heavy enough to handle gouache well, but may i have the specifications please, thank you:)

      Go to new masters academy and search steve huston watercolor part 1 first 2-3 vids in that lesson is free to watch in those videos he discussed about the materials

    I've seen a couple artists use this specific type of sketchbook. I'm wondering if it's Strathmore toned. I don't know because I haven't seen those kinds in a watercolor type book yet....

      Hi Artist MikeJay. Sketchbooks with this oatmeal paper are difficult to find now. Steve explains in this series on NMA.art how he creates these sketchbooks out of oatmeal paper.
