So do you HAVE to have a reservation in order to eat there?

Great question! Yes and no, you have the option of getting an advanced reservation if you want to to guarantee the right timing. There is always the ability to check for walk-up waitlist in your My Disney Experience app the day of, and I think asking the cast member at the restaurant to see if there is availability is always an option, too. This restaurant, unlike say, Blue Bayou or Lamplight Lounge, is actually fairly easy to get into. It's more a matter of if you're willing to wait or not... Hope this answers your question!
