It was so frustrating seeing Doc miss out on an easy knockout against the Ren card. And he made the mistake more than once, I had to go back and double check I read the card correctly
Doc, efficiency effect card allows you to activate a move w/out the necessary items. So if you can get a couple of those, your prankster deck with multiple rare stress will be even more deadly.
It can also be useful with Hipno, since you already have to discard a card, you can use Efficiency whidout items so you don't have to discard anything else.
Am I mistaken ? I think doc misread the rare mumbo card, he doesn't need an afk prankster hermit for the +40dmg do take effect, however, his damage doubles if there IS an afk prankster hermit on his board ? (meaning he could have killed the rendog card, doing 240dmg !)
The great thing about all these TCG games is that we are seeing more interactions with the Hermits. Win for us all. Cheers for all the uploads to Doc and the other Hermits.
Same, it's honestly the way I was introduced to all the other great hermits. I started watching in season 7 when mumbos livestream video of him mining sand and gravel for 3 hours was recommended to me. Then his shenanigans with 'Grain' and Iskall and the whole hermit challenges stuff introduced me to a few more hermits. Now I follow 7 or 8 hermits minus iskall since he keeps abandoning his fans and putting that other game on priority.
@@CurtisD1986 Tbh, Iskall didnt abandon his fans and "that game" is called Vault Hunters. A game many content creators (including some hermits) are playing/streaming almost daily. If you dont like VH then thats on you, but you saying that he abandon his fans is just plain wrong.

Do i feel abandon as a fan? No. I rather want a content creator do content they like to do and not being pressured doing something they dont have motivation for. Those fans who expect the CCs to do only the content they have always done are the reason CCs get bored/burned out. I mean, jeez, Iskall and other CCs are having fun. If you dont like that, then maybe you arent a fan of his, but simply a fan of hc and hc only.
I feel like prankster types are very powerful especially mumbo and stress. A other synergy to add to your deck is a rare Cleo, her ability is that she copied a attack with effect from one of the afk hermits on the bord. This with bdubs sleep which heals could be very devestating.
Prankster Pile feels pretty strong. A mumbo+anyone can easily wipe someone in a turn or two. And Grian isnt bad either taking effects off people and doing decent damage while waiting to draw the Mumbo. pile in swords axe and TNT and just destroy folks before they can get set.
Also, the synergy of Cleo and Hypno works so well together considering Doc's main strategy of sniping AFK Hermits... Also, why isn't there an Anvil card that can instant KO a Hermit without adding to the victory count?
@@xerokhan3239 The anvil is an awesome idea, it would make sense if you wanna get rid of a powerful hermit, but since its not a player kill (i think) it doesnt help progress in the game otherwhise.
37:23 doc wins at this point. Mumbo gets double damage from another prankster being afk, which doc misread as only being usable with a prankster afk. Rendog died, and with the extra 80 damage to jevin the 60 hp reducing tnt would have killed him if doc used it, and the mumbo attack after would have also done it. The game ends much sooner than the video says. Mumbo's Full Attack: "Flip a coin 2 times. For each heads add 40 damage. If another prankster is afk, deal double damage. If no heads are rolled, the above does not apply."
The False-Totem synergy you have going makes for an amazing combo if it can be pulled off. But Cub's leads were the MVP of this match, and ruined both your active and AFK Hermits.
XB's Special Move does actually Ignore the effects of the Totem Effect card because his Special Move is basically the Golden Axe Effect Card, and In Beef's Hermitcraft EP40 11:36 he says "It ignores the Totem Card, which is good since it revives the opposing Hermit"

Every mumbo attack should have been doubled, since stress, another prankster type was afk on the board (and you had even 2 T.T). Mumbo is actually op with that ability. sure the minimum is 40 but with just another prankster afk it's already a min of 80, with the bonuses it can go up to 240 that's huge.
I still think there should be (have been) an Anvil card. I was thinking of the mechanics, and the fact that if you miss, you just delivered an anvil to someone. With that in mind, how does this sound? Single use card (like TNT). When you play it, you flip a coin. If green, then it does (don't laugh) 80 pts damage against an AFK hermit. But if it's red, then the card is passed to your opponent, where they can try to use it in their next turn (same rules apply). So if everyone keeps shooting red, then it just passes between players harmlessly. But once it's green, then it does the damage, and goes into the original player's discard. Thoughts?
I really like seeing the long cuts of these games! The audio is a bit quiet though. Kinda wish there was an announcer or something to help bring it together.
For the grand finale of the tournament that will happen at some points, all hermits that want to should be there and do the voice effects. Like saying out the moves when played. That would be so cool.
Mumbo's "Quite Simple" has two ways to be used. 1. Coin toss: potential for 40/80/120 damage according to the number of heads. 2. AFK prankster: guaranteed 80 damage due to the AFK prankster hermit on the field. You can choose one option or the other, but not both (which would double 120 to 240).
What doc had said is that you can only do the ability if you had an afk prankster card so with what doc had seen/had been told or whatever you couldn’t of done the 240 damage just 120
Mumbo card explained : Mumbo does 120 damage normally. Even without any prankster AFK, he would still do coin toss and add damage. IF he has another prankster AFK though, the total damage doubles if he gets heads atleast once. Meaning : Normally, No heads - 40 1 head - 80 2 heads - 120 With prankster AFK, No heads - 40 1 head - 160 2 heads - 240 PS it blows my mind how OP this card is bcz you can simply knock out a hermit with just one move. It must be terrifying to play against this card.
I love these videos of the matches. So glad you guys are getting so into this game. Beef put a ton of effort into making the cards and rules. Clearly some rules need better definition but all in all this game is great...
When Beef made ‘noice’ i remember him commenting it ignores all effects, including totem - so TFC should’ve been knocked out Even in the explanation of damage carrying through, TFC should’ve been knocked out Cause 130 damage on 110, 20 carries through and eliminates the 10 health
The ignore effect cards and effect totem of undying combo is definitely something that should be brought up to beef and find out how it should work. I think you're doing it right I think the totem of undying would be an exception. I think ignoring effect cards was intended to negate effect like armore swords thorns and stuff like that but definitely something that should ask beef about.
TCG game streams usually use a fixed camera over the play field to make the game easier to follow for the viewer. In this case I'd say you need the main screen to the the playfield and a PiP situation that shows your perspective in a corner.
An attacking effects applies at same time as the attack. So if you attack with tnt its all added together at once. The totem then come into effects then revive the player. I am pretty sure.
I'm loving the TCG. One suggestion for these episodes is to add some background music of some sort as there's alot of dead space in audio while thinking of your next move and just hearing you rub ur beard. 😉
All you addicts should team up and build a monument for beefers like a statue or something for making such an amazing game! Or maybe build your own little arenas where you challenge others with a special deck similar to the Pokémon arena champions. Your arena would be the prankster arena of course! Man I would love that so much!
I don't know if it would help, but would placing half slabs on the arena floor save for a strip next to the bottom row of item frames make it so you can reach the top row without needing to jump? Also, it seems like the lead might be a touch broken, as it can effectively permanently render a Hermit unable to use their special attack by filling their Inventory with junk. At least for those Hermits who need 3 Items for their special. Perhaps a player should be able to reallocate Items in a Hermit's Inventory, but that would be an either/or situation with filling an Inventory? I.E., you could either add one new Item on the board, or you can move any one Item to any other Hermit but not both on the same turn. Could have an Ender Chest One-time use Effect that allows both, meaning a player could potentially get a fresh Hermit powered up quickly, possibly at the expense of a Hermit already on the whitelist.

i feel like yall should make a rule to always read out the special abilities of hermit cards, that way it’s easier for us viewers to know what’s happening. in the future, y’all could get around that by putting out a manual on the game. it could include special abilities, effect/armor cards, elemental advantages, and niche rules.

Noice ignore any effect. But the effect of totem is not protect from death but revive from death. So noice dont affect totem as noice hit the hermit. The hermit dies properly and then revive with 10 hp. Tnt applies at same time as the attack so its noice+tnt knockout then revive. So if noice can knockout the hermit, theres no point playing tnt
Your deck is an interesting gamble. Miner - Prankster-Deck. Both those types seem objectively strong, but they both have a weakness against Speedrunners. I know speedrunners only have 2 cards with both being rare so that is a big advantage for most opponents, but as soon as you meet someone running Speedrunners, you'll have a problem. But until someone has enough Speedrunner-Hermits for a viable deck it'll probably be some more time. Very cheeky of you. Make sure to show a game with you playing against a Speedrunner-User. I really wanna see if this theory checks out.
Based on the reading of the cards I think that the rare ability of mumbo would be extremely OP with the possibility of 240 for just 2 items and 2 successful coin rolls. If a TNT is added that would take out every hermit in one attack. I think it should be changed to an additional 20 or 40 damage per afk prankster in addition to the coin flips and leave it contingent on the coin flips. It could also be changed to double damage but capped at 160 or something. If it is a per prankster then it would make the card a mid to late game card and encourage a mono deck which would bring the synergies into play as a counter.

How did cub attack with Etho for 100? when he had 1 explorer and 2 farms. It looks like his ulti requires 3 farms even though his basic is 1 farm and 1 Wilf. Was that a mistake?
You could have put that builder item you burned on the damaged Hypno as a last resort. Have him ready for when you lose a hermit to snipe an ark and chorus fruit to safety
On the turn where he knocke out jevin he should have first attached the 2x prankster item to hypno, played the tnt (knowcking out jevin) and then used his special move to knowck out iskall. Hope this helps!!!
I am a tad bit confused, why was Cub using Iskall's three grass block (100dmg) when there were only two applied? Did I miss an item or something that let him do that, or was one a double?

The point is xB ignores the effect, the card doesn't counter act the effect of an opposing hermit. So if they'd ignore armour and ignore effects that would lower xBs damage or deal more damage to xB but he doesn't prevent items from being used or equipped
I've been thinking about which type combination would be the best and I'm pretty sure it is pvp + miner. Those are the only types that cover each other's weakness and they let you hit farm (Jevin's deck) strong. The rare miner cards you would be able to use are TFC and Hypno (who is already winning you some matches), and for pvp it would be welsknight (100 dmg at green health, 120 at orange and 150 at red) and cleo (uses a move from any of your AFK hermits, pretty broken imo). You might want to give it a try doc, there are even the ultra rare miner TFC and the ultra rare pvp etho (70 dmg, flip a coin 3 times and get +20 for each head, all that for 2 item cards of any type!)
I think Vintage Beef needs to add a rule so when you start your turn and make a decision it can't be reverted, so if a person makes a mistake they can't say I change my mind and fix it. They would have to live with the mistake and work around it like every other tcg.
The JoeHills rare card has a special move that lets you skip the opponent’s turn. The Jevin rare card let’s you use an AFK Hermit’s special move. Could you just infinitely skip using these two cards, using your spare turn to swap to the other card? Swap stalling for cards.
There's only one Hermit who can discard their attached items, I forget which one. But other than that, once an item is on the board the only way to remove it is death
In the future, if you're not sure about how a card works like the totem of undying, and you can't ask beef right away, flip a coin to decide how it goes for this particular game and then ask for the future games. That way neither of you are seeing to be playing favorites before you really know
I feel like the Lead card has to be tweaked, or split into multiple rarity tiers, so that you can't move items to the wrong type. Here Cub just completely blocked one hermit, because of the item limit, since there's no way to remove your own item.
There's Xs arena, lemon and lime feild in the citrus arena in the shopping district, and the original arena at Beefs base with the directions on how to play and the weakness/resistance boards.
Oh man I see what you mean, those Lead cards really slow you down! Of course a single-type Prankster deck would be safer against that strat, but would it be worth losing those Miners?
Are there 2x prankster cards? If so, you should find someone willing to trade away one, I think saving a turn and a card while powering up stress or mumbo could be huge.
Seems the rare Mumbo card needs a bit of balancing by Beef. It has the potential to do 240 dmg in 1 turn (something that should've happened once in the game), which is frankly kinda nuts, especially remembering some hermits only have 250 hp, and all it takes is 2 heads and a prankster hermit.

Yeah, the 40 will double if there's an AFK prankster, but if there isn't it's not doubled.

its still a minimum of 40, it only doubles if you get a heads. its 40, 160, 240 for each flip with an AFK prankster

Idk why people get the mumbo card mixed up. It's quite simple really

Mumbo card explained :
Mumbo does 120 damage normally.
Even without any prankster AFK, he would still do coin toss and add damage.
IF he has another prankster AFK though, the total damage doubles if he gets heads atleast once.
Meaning :
Normally,
No heads - 40
1 head - 80
2 heads - 120
With prankster AFK,
No heads - 40
1 head - 160
2 heads - 240
PS it blows my mind how OP this card is bcz you can simply knock out a hermit with just one move. It must be terrifying to play against this card.
I love these videos of the matches. So glad you guys are getting so into this game. Beef put a ton of effort into making the cards and rules. Clearly some rules need better definition but all in all this game is great...
When Beef made ‘noice’ i remember him commenting it ignores all effects, including totem - so TFC should’ve been knocked out
Even in the explanation of damage carrying through, TFC should’ve been knocked out
Cause 130 damage on 110, 20 carries through and eliminates the 10 health
The ignore effect cards and effect totem of undying combo is definitely something that should be brought up to beef and find out how it should work.
I think you're doing it right I think the totem of undying would be an exception.
I think ignoring effect cards was intended to negate effect like armore swords thorns and stuff like that but definitely something that should ask beef about.

TCG game streams usually use a fixed camera over the play field to make the game easier to follow for the viewer. In this case I'd say you need the main screen to the the playfield and a PiP situation that shows your perspective in a corner.

I heard prankster deck and my first thought was "oh Murkrow" so i can safely say that i think a bit much about pokemon
An attacking effects applies at same time as the attack.
So if you attack with tnt its all added together at once.
The totem then come into effects then revive the player. I am pretty sure.
I'm loving the TCG. One suggestion for these episodes is to add some background music of some sort as there's alot of dead space in audio while thinking of your next move and just hearing you rub ur beard. 😉

Or maybe build your own little arenas where you challenge others with a special deck similar to the Pokémon arena champions. Your arena would be the prankster arena of course! Man I would love that so much!

I don't know if it would help, but would placing half slabs on the arena floor save for a strip next to the bottom row of item frames make it so you can reach the top row without needing to jump?
Also, it seems like the lead might be a touch broken, as it can effectively permanently render a Hermit unable to use their special attack by filling their Inventory with junk. At least for those Hermits who need 3 Items for their special. Perhaps a player should be able to reallocate Items in a Hermit's Inventory, but that would be an either/or situation with filling an Inventory? I.E., you could either add one new Item on the board, or you can move any one Item to any other Hermit but not both on the same turn.
Could have an Ender Chest One-time use Effect that allows both, meaning a player could potentially get a fresh Hermit powered up quickly, possibly at the expense of a Hermit already on the whitelist.
Your intro/outro music should be 1.5 RUclips speed by default. It really sets the drive.

i feel like yall should make a rule to always read out the special abilities of hermit cards, that way it’s easier for us viewers to know what’s happening. in the future, y’all could get around that by putting out a manual on the game. it could include special abilities, effect/armor cards, elemental advantages, and niche rules.
Just getting to watch these and honestly i love that TFCs card is all about resource advantage.. in a game like this that is so valuable..

Noice ignore any effect. But the effect of totem is not protect from death but revive from death.
So noice dont affect totem as noice hit the hermit. The hermit dies properly and then revive with 10 hp.
Tnt applies at same time as the attack so its noice+tnt knockout then revive.
So if noice can knockout the hermit, theres no point playing tnt

Your deck is an interesting gamble.
Miner - Prankster-Deck.
Both those types seem objectively strong, but they both have a weakness against Speedrunners.
I know speedrunners only have 2 cards with both being rare so that is a big advantage for most opponents, but as soon as you meet someone running Speedrunners, you'll have a problem.
But until someone has enough Speedrunner-Hermits for a viable deck it'll probably be some more time.
Very cheeky of you. Make sure to show a game with you playing against a Speedrunner-User. I really wanna see if this theory checks out.
Based on the reading of the cards I think that the rare ability of mumbo would be extremely OP with the possibility of 240 for just 2 items and 2 successful coin rolls. If a TNT is added that would take out every hermit in one attack. I think it should be changed to an additional 20 or 40 damage per afk prankster in addition to the coin flips and leave it contingent on the coin flips. It could also be changed to double damage but capped at 160 or something. If it is a per prankster then it would make the card a mid to late game card and encourage a mono deck which would bring the synergies into play as a counter.
This card game is so good. Hey doc is there a way to have some of your fantastic music playing in the background? I don't know if I am the only one who wishes this.

How did cub attack with Etho for 100? when he had 1 explorer and 2 farms. It looks like his ulti requires 3 farms even though his basic is 1 farm and 1 Wilf. Was that a mistake?

You could have put that builder item you burned on the damaged Hypno as a last resort. Have him ready for when you lose a hermit to snipe an ark and chorus fruit to safety
On the turn where he knocke out jevin he should have first attached the 2x prankster item to hypno, played the tnt (knowcking out jevin) and then used his special move to knowck out iskall. Hope this helps!!!
I am a tad bit confused, why was Cub using Iskall's three grass block (100dmg) when there were only two applied? Did I miss an item or something that let him do that, or was one a double?
One of the item cards was a 2x, so the iskall did have 3 total

The point is xB ignores the effect, the card doesn't counter act the effect of an opposing hermit. So if they'd ignore armour and ignore effects that would lower xBs damage or deal more damage to xB but he doesn't prevent items from being used or equipped
I've been thinking about which type combination would be the best and I'm pretty sure it is pvp + miner. Those are the only types that cover each other's weakness and they let you hit farm (Jevin's deck) strong. The rare miner cards you would be able to use are TFC and Hypno (who is already winning you some matches), and for pvp it would be welsknight (100 dmg at green health, 120 at orange and 150 at red) and cleo (uses a move from any of your AFK hermits, pretty broken imo). You might want to give it a try doc, there are even the ultra rare miner TFC and the ultra rare pvp etho (70 dmg, flip a coin 3 times and get +20 for each head, all that for 2 item cards of any type!)
I think Vintage Beef needs to add a rule so when you start your turn and make a decision it can't be reverted, so if a person makes a mistake they can't say I change my mind and fix it. They would have to live with the mistake and work around it like every other tcg.
do u have to discard an item after using hypno's special? i don't remember that. was it always like that, or was there an errata?
It was determined in play testing to be too strong, so discarding an item was added as a nerf.
With how close all of these matches have been, it just goes to show how well balanced this game is turning out!

so if XB is ignoring EFFECT cards why it moves your Source Card? and why can he do the move without 2 SOURCE cards?
The Totem of Undying will still resolve, even with XB's ability. The attack damage ignores the effect cards, it doesn't cancel them...
None can abide to set aside the divide. Not even in TCG. The divide meaning the tool that divides computers from humans, a keyboard.

The JoeHills rare card has a special move that lets you skip the opponent’s turn. The Jevin rare card let’s you use an AFK Hermit’s special move. Could you just infinitely skip using these two cards, using your spare turn to swap to the other card? Swap stalling for cards.
You missed out on a lot of damage from Mumbo's ulti, since it doubles the total damage if another prankster type is afk.

Can you not remove items from hermits as well? Like if your opponent uses a Lasso, you can just discard those items and attach new ones, right?
The lasso moves effect cards to other hermits, it doesn’t discard them
There's only one Hermit who can discard their attached items, I forget which one. But other than that, once an item is on the board the only way to remove it is death

In the future, if you're not sure about how a card works like the totem of undying, and you can't ask beef right away, flip a coin to decide how it goes for this particular game and then ask for the future games. That way neither of you are seeing to be playing favorites before you really know
I feel like the Lead card has to be tweaked, or split into multiple rarity tiers, so that you can't move items to the wrong type. Here Cub just completely blocked one hermit, because of the item limit, since there's no way to remove your own item.
Im pretty sure that Mumbo double coin toss did 240 because of afk Stress :'D
I hope that doc actually reads what Mumbo does before he plays the next match.. Mumbo could have wiped the board..

That's the field X Built. It's a proper arena. Looks like they are playing on the lime side of the citrus arena (which is near Beefs shop)
There's Xs arena, lemon and lime feild in the citrus arena in the shopping district, and the original arena at Beefs base with the directions on how to play and the weakness/resistance boards.
We need a TCG anime style tournament .if you win it all u get a exclusive card and if someone beats you after they get the card
You could make your own TCG arena in te wall maybe at the other side of the TCG room.

Are there 2x prankster cards? If so, you should find someone willing to trade away one, I think saving a turn and a card while powering up stress or mumbo could be huge.
Seems the rare Mumbo card needs a bit of balancing by Beef. It has the potential to do 240 dmg in 1 turn (something that should've happened once in the game), which is frankly kinda nuts, especially remembering some hermits only have 250 hp, and all it takes is 2 heads and a prankster hermit.

Doc missed lethal on his second to last move. He could have used TNT to take out Jevin, added an Item to Hypno and attacked Iskall for the win.
