  • After a short hike in the Ramapo state forest you can find the remains of an abandoned castle destroyed by vandals in 1959. The van Slyke castle also known as foxcroft is located in Wanaque New Jersey. Although heavily damaged, the structural elements of the building still remain, as well as a pool and water tower.

      Thanks !! I couldn't agree more, the tristate area is full of lost places. Definitely a hot spot for explorers

      thank you ! I'm so drawn to these places. Most people see these places in their current condition and just see garbage, but I cant help but think of all the history and how amazing they once where.
