This has always been my dream bike for everyday bike. Such a fun wheelie machine, plus that 270 degree crank, CP2 engine makes it the best sounding parrallel twin bike in my opinion. I remember watching a review where yamaha was explaining that the mt-07 and 09 are supposed to have a kind of "urban motard" concept, that's why the position is a little bit more aggressive than a standard naked bike. For fellow riders, the mt07 and mt09 are supposed to have a notorious problem with bad stock suspension set up (which is why Farhan says the mt09 he rode had a wobble at higher speeds), for our riding in sg should not be a big issue, but they say can feel the suspension wobbling at more intense riding. Thank you for doing a review.
Wow. The bike you reviewed is such a bad specimen. Im a proud owner of the mt07 since last year. I think it's a good all rounder. I got the mt07 instead of the mt09/10 due to fuel consumption (I heard mt10 is like 15-16 km/l). The mt07 gives good performance with good fuel efficiency. I have gotten average FC of 24-28km/l. Which is awesome for a class 2 bike. Insurance is also cheaper😛. It is also one of the lighter class 2 bikes. Easy to throw around and wheelie. But what I don't like is the suspension. Contrary you what you mentioned, i feel that the front end feel is vague. Tends to run wide around the corner. I got a box on mine and it worsened the handling. Will be upgrading the suspension soon. Like you, I also didn't know that this bike existed in Singapore. I got to know about it through a colleague. He has an aftermarket exhaust on his, and it sounds awesome. It's sad that there is not more of this bike on the road but doesn't matter, I get to own a rare bike 😝. Edit: some of the things that I don't like is that the bike seat (for the 1st gen) creaks. Common issues is that the gear indicator sometimes not working.
Yup. Sadly, this is the only MT-07 that I can rent and do a review on. BHH stated that since the pandemic, they never really had much bikes going out and the MT-07 they had was just sitting there sun damaged. Thanks for sharing your experience with the MT-07. I honestly think it's a good bike. But most Class 2 riders would probably go for an MT-09 instead.
The most reliable engine built by Yamaha in the new millennium is the CP2. Basic maintenance plus RON95 and it should last at least 15 years or 200,000km without major issues. Get a YSS rear shock and play with the oil weight up front or see if you can have the rear shock serviced/rebuilt with better components.
Get the earlier version. Not much changes between version 1 to 3 apart from facelift. Still a bullet proof engine with 40000km valve clearance interval.
@@am-se8ul I feel that the MT07 and mt09 are true MT. What I mean is that bikes like the mt03 and mt10 are based off the sportsbike platform R3 and R1 and "detuned" whereas mt07 and mt09 are the starting platform for other bikes like R7 and tenere 700.
@@RubberTyres I mean would be nice to have, even the nmax have. But it's subjective, some people likes it, some don't. To me is just an added safety feature that don't seems to be of much use, until it kicks in during emergency, just like abs.

I agree.. I swap out both front and rear shock for ohlins basic model. Makes a world of difference. No more going wide in the corners.
Can you try the KTM Duke 200? Would like your personal review on it :)
Can. But not anytime soon. 😅

50k only?

MT-10 next! :D
xsr700 next
How does the MT07 compare with ur NC700?
MT-07 has better performance. Lighter, more agile and better handling.
Is it just me or are the forks too soft? abit annoying seeing you do normal braking but the forks are being compressed so hard
i have been considering the m 07 as my 2nd bike after im finished with my r3. shame that the display was so wrecked by the sun.
Go for it. I just got mine.
Yup u should go for the mt07. Personally I upgraded from mt03 to mt07. Similar fuel consumption but with way more power. The torque is addictive.

hi bro, I believe that there's no traction control even in the newer models.
You're right bro. Dont know why some articles state there's TCS
@@tambakoverlanders I think most of them expected it to have but sadly there isn't. Most of the bike direct competitors have it, like cb650r, Kawa 650
I don't think it needs a traction control. Ridden more twitcher bike
