By walking into the corner you are able to store your position inside the boss arena. The boss AI triggers when you enter the foggate but since you are already inside the arena the AI never triggers. Only works on old patch
2 months late, but Anri's sword has special effect that regenerates your health if you're holding it, 2hp in few seconds. First tick of this regeneration appears just when you equip the sword. So when you spam equip/unequip, it significantly boosts hp regen, as this action takes way less time than letting the sword do its thing normally
Gundyr makes this look spliced. First you whip the camera back to look at you, 99xx dmg at gundyr, after 99xx dmg disappears his health bar changes. Whats up with that?
The camera whip is due to alttabbing and tabbing back in, the damage is a visual glitch in old patch, it takes damage that i dealt in a previous savefile or something. I remember if i hit Yhorm and then reset, it would show some ridiculous numbers next time i fought gundyr. Also, there would be no point to splice a run at gundyr

this is a hacked run in the very beginning of the run it said you did 9k damage to gundyr ive never seen that in ANY other dark souls 3 run your first combo on him always has a set 1244 damage or if you pull off early to assure the dodge the damage numbers wont display everyone knows that you should be ashamed of yourself frfr
It's a visual bug. As creator of this channel explained under other comments, he saved the previous run at hitting Yhorm with the stormruler(or something like that). Numbers of damage carried on to his first attack in a new run, that's why Gundyr's healthbar shows 9k. Iudex doesn't have 9k hp in a regular NG by the way

To finish the game in the smallest amount of in-game time possible, and in this specific run category all glitches and exploits are allowed. There are categories that don't allow glitches or exploits, categories that require killing all bosses that allow glitches, that don't. The point is how fast, under a certain set of rules, can someone finish the game from start to finish.

Luck makes status effects build up faster, there's no "chance" involved.
