This is by far the most animated, dynamic, and entertaining watch review that I've ever watched on the RUclips. Brilliant!! 👍👍👍
Chris!!! Appreciate that a lot thank you!!
As always I am learning AND very entertained! 😜✨
Hahahaha thanks WG!
I had the mechanical 1/100 of a second watch it kept braking but was a lovely watch , It came out for the Olympic Games .Nice looking watch that little 1/100 second red hand looked awesome, don’t see many anymore. Wish I still had it.
I agree with you wife. Damn that thing is thick.
Another great 20 mins or so of fun plus a good review. Thanks! Personally I'd keep saving and buy a Moonwatch.
On this occasion Phil I’m with you. Thanks for your support as always!!
Oh yes the Omega
What a beast of a watch!
A thick boy for sure and a little too pricey for me but this is a limited edition anniversary watch, it’s supposed to be exclusive (and to be fair Seiko announced those solar chronos alongside this one which are much more modestly priced) and they totally nailed the vibe of those original 60s stopwatches.
And it’s a new in house mechanical chronograph movement! How often do we see one of those for this kind of money?
Phenomenal show as always MWC 🙌
I think that’s it isn’t is Gareth! Only 1000 of them in the world. If I had the money floating about I’d have it for sure
NICE!! I picked up the SSC813 but I was eyeing this one too! Great review!
Saw your review! The Seitona!!!
@@THEMADWATCHCOLLECTOR YEEEES!!!
I got the SRQ037J1 about 1 month ago, I think it's even more superb looking.
It fits really well on my 19 cm wrist, despite the micro adjustments.
Got it for almost 50 % of the price, so I'm happy, and I just love it.
how accurate is your watch running ?
@@erkanvural3621 I haven't measured with any professional tool, but I haven't noticed that it goes too fast, or too slow for that matter...
Still liking it? I'm looking at one as well that's on sale, as I like the 37J1 better in pictures than the 35J1, and would love to hear a "long time" review from you.
I have what most likely is a "franken/legowatch" in the shape of a beautifully refurbished 6139 6002. It is baed on the numbers on it 50years old. The dial is reprinted, the movement is probably put together out of separate parts of different watches. But, it does have a functioning 6139B in it that looks and performs well. The power reserve is still stock spec, the functions work perfectly, and it is - 12s/day accurate. Have had it for a few years now, so i already got the joy out of it that would be worth what i paid for it. And I could probably get it serviced in the local Seiko Boutique for £150 incl factory parts. Love it.
Mega video man. Intro and background stuff on point :)
Thank you Gordon !!!!!! Tokyo Olympics 1964!
This is the best channel on RUclips... in any category. You, sir, are fucking hilarious
Thank you so much for finding the channel my friend!!! All the best to you and merry Christmas!
Great review! Love Seiko. My wife would kill me spending that kind of money
It’s a lot of dollar, but I think this one could be a Seiko investment! However, my wife would be the same my friend. Thanks for watching!
Beautiful intro👍 like TGV. 😎 nice chrono a bit thick but great history. Your wife opinion is priceless.
This is the first Seiko I actually want. It's perfect.
Awesome Steve!!!!
Next level sh.. on the intro my friend. Bark & Jack / TGV level. Great work Russell!
Cheers Gary!!!
😂😂😂 “ Somebody shoot the little shhh” laughed out loud at that one …. Great review of a good looking Seiko but to highly priced, defo getting one of the solar versions… particularly enjoyed the Seiko Showcase 😎
The panda solar one is beautiful!
Great watch review Russ. Super looking watches. I would love one however a little on the pricey side😲. Keep up the good work.👍👍
Thanks CT! Hope you are well?! I’m really tempted by one of the solar ones with the brown dial!
😂 we’ve hit the mother load. Great video mate. Always amazing reviews and the entertainment is off the scale!!!!!
Hahahaha thanks for watching Aaron !
For the same money, I would buy the Longines Spirit Chronometer Chronograph.
I am late to the party as usual. I found a new one in Japan for a reasonable price. Just trying to decide if i want to spend more money on a watch right now.
Have some quartz citizen bullheads, a few cheap quartz chronos . Not one real nice mechanical. Really tempted! The thickness will work ok. I wear a 300mm all the time.
Great review! Thanks
Nice one! I don't mind push pins, they're actually the easiest to change, they don't get loose and fall out like screws, and they aren't a total pain the arse like pins and collars! Lol. It's expensive though. Definitely would go for the solar though!
Thanks for watching Brian!
Is there a solar?
The only chronograph I am actually considering because of it raw beastly look with those massive pushers
Lovely watch, would easily fit under my sleeve, mind you I am a Wizard. Way too expensive. What does it do that a Seiko SNA doesn’t do? Great episode, do you think Mr P needs his own channel? 👍🏴😁
Hahahaha I think he does Jim!!
You took the words. It's a watch I'd love to have in my collection too but I can't see myself paying that for it. I've recently acquired an SSC-446 Seiko Solar chronograph. It's not a Prospex but is a lovely unit. I'm perfectly happy with that. Once again an entertaining and well photographed review. Thanks.
Thank you my friend! Congrats on your recent purchase!
Chunky as modular movement I.e. the chronograph bit put on top of regular movement so it's not pure chronograph movement. So says RR if I remember.
Love the intro Russell! Classy looking watch from Seiko here with some nice details. Way above my price range though sadly 😅
Cheers James!
Who said 'don't buy a new Seiko'. This one won't lose money. Superb mad video.
Hahahahaha
I keep coming back for the Pagani House of Design. That is some comedic genius!
Hahahahahaha thank you my friend!!!
Got the seiko panda (The seiko seitona) and my wife got a blue one.
Great video btw regarding the essence of the Seiko speed timer
Curious if we’ll start to see this movement showing up in various micro brands? It would be nice to have another option for mechanical chronographs, since the only budget option right now is the ST19 (though not sure how “budget” this movement is)
That’s a great point Ben! I can see Seiko keeping this exclusive however don’t you?;)
@@THEMADWATCHCOLLECTOR Possibly, though they do make quite a bit of $ by being the go to movement that's in everything. So maybe they'll keep it exclusive for a while, then offer it more broadly later? We'll see, either way great show! :D
@@BenOwen152 This watch is expensive as hell, it can't be compared to microbrands rocking the ST19. I don't think any other affordable mechanical movement will ever exist (affordable is subjective, but I mean in the price range of the ST19). The market in general is getting pricier and the ST19 is a complete outlier, and an unique case.
Lovely looking watch…. was NOT expecting that price tag 🤣
Hmmmm yes well it is exclusive;)
Great intro. Cheers from Alaska.
Can’t fault the effort this guy puts in, “biff” made me 😂 😂
Thanks Justin!
I like Seiko, but I would rather get the Hanhart 417 ES on a Bund Strap or a Longines Big Eye.
Oooooo that Big Eye left a mark on me !!!
Mr Pagani's stache is always different haha. Lovely Seiko!
Always! He doesn’t groom it well!
This was hillarious !!! Great job !!! Well done !!!!
Thank you for watching my friend!
Russell you've stated that your Tudor Black Bay is the best diver , does that mean your re issue CWC diver is number 2 in your opinion ?
Yes my friend a very close 2nd!!;)
Great review. The thickness (15mm), weight (194g) and price (£2100) are a bit silly though. Seems like a passion project, but a very compromised one.
It’s a good point ! Thanks for watching my friend!
It is very nice to have a new Seiko movement…..but for that kind of money….I can get the Hamilton Chrono….Mido ocean star Chronograph, or Longines heritage Chronograph…..so…..
That's going to be very collectable in the future, gorgeous watch!
I think that’s a great point John!
Brilliant review again, really look forward to your videos. Completely different to other channels which is great.
Thanks David! Appreciate that!
Beautiful watch. Would be worried about it in Florida though… 🧐
Yes!!! Hahaha humidity!!!!!!
Great review.... Passing on this model even though I love the design of the limited edition and the mechanical edition. For that money I'll add in a little more cheddar and grab a Tudor chronograph
Read my mind
I think that would be many peoples thoughts my friend! Apart from the Seikomaniacs!
Awesome intro
Love ❤ Mr Pagani
Great show friend 👍
Thanks Nick!
15:08 that's what she said 😜
PS. How about Certina DS Chrono Automatic Vintage instead?
Hahahahaha it’s on the list !
@@THEMADWATCHCOLLECTOR you should really see it for yourself 🤪
Are the pushers bigger than the sub-dials?
Almost!!!!
Big pushers and a nice asp .. I mean clasp ... and chunkier than grand mama's scones ... it's PHAT.
Hahahahaha! It’s a big boy Karl! Thanks for watching 👍🏼
I recon the solar Chronographs would be thinner. Brilliant review.
I reckon you’re right Barry! Thanks for watching!
Omit the Date and the Prospex icon . Yes.
Hahahaha yes!
Although the auto is so cool its too thick for my chicken wing wrist, but not like I can afford it either. I'd probably go for the solar ones you showed at the end. Look way more obtainable. Awesome work with the review as always.
Think your right my friend! Thanks for watching!
@@THEMADWATCHCOLLECTOR you're welcome mate. Enjoy the rest of your weekend
I love this watch, a real beauty.
An absolute beauty but too rich for my budget...I would however consider one of the solar options... thank you Russ for a brilliant review 👏 🙌 🙏 👍
I think I’m going to my friend! The brown dial is calling out to me!
@@THEMADWATCHCOLLECTOR the brown is gorgeous 👍
Beautiful but kind of thick for my wrist… great show as always ,”see you in a tick tick tick tick” Bredren
All the best Brian! It is thick! Too big for me!!
The production is insane 😂 even if I don't give a F**k about the watch, your videos keep me to the end. Ps nice looking piece.👊🏾
Thank you so much my friend! This is what I want !!;) so grateful for your support!!
@@THEMADWATCHCOLLECTOR Always a pleasure Broski 👍🏾
I love those pushers! Great review mate. Lovely watch!
Just heard the price, yikes!
Such a handsome watch, i don’t even mind the thickness (although a manual wind with display case back could have worked better), but the price is outrageous and a deal killer for me. Perhaps they could try similar with grand Seiko finishing and refinement
I think as this particular one was homaging the 1964 stop watches, I think a manual wind with a display caseback, would have been the perfect way to go! Thanks for watching my friend 👍🏼
@@THEMADWATCHCOLLECTOR I bought a Sinn U50 instead of this...
You’re insane but I love it, just got a new subscriber:)
If the dials were black I'd b super tempted. I live the seitona. Been wearing it alot just wish it was mechanical... thin winder not auto
I'm waiting for the solar ones..
Nice looking watch but to thick for me I pass great review thanks👌👌👌
Very nice, I'd have one if it was £1000 cheaper!! Just wish they'd reproduce the Pogue, it'd sell like hot cakes!!!
FWIW the hard coating on Seiko's is extremely tough, not a mark on my Willard despite getting knocked about regularly.
Good video as always, Cheers 👍👍
That would be an absolute no brainer if they did that! However, those new solar Seitonas are homaging the 6139 which is where the Pogue comes from. We shall see! Thanks for watching Steve!
Mr Pagani proper cracked me up lol
Hahahahaha! I honestly don’t plan anything, it just comes out after I press the record button!
@@THEMADWATCHCOLLECTOR even better mate! Can't wait for the next vid 👍
@@jamessteven9748 thanks my friend!
Good job as per usual Russell 👏
Thanks buddy!
Bit expensive and too thick, I’ve just acquired an SSB031 chronograph, absolutely love it
Nice show again ! Please do a review of the Squale sub 39 superblue : ) !
Squale don’t like talking ;) I’d review it in a heartbeat!
Nice video Russ and yes is to d big hahaha lol
Thank you for watching my friend!
How much ?????, watch looks fab, but once you get over 13mm it becomes just to cumbersome and heavy.
Is a tall bad boy !;)
Great review, lmao again, Mr P just hits the spot, lovely watch but ouch the price tag, I think Tudor at that price.
Thanks as always Russell! Hard to argue that point my friend!
That’s stunning but quite pricey! Hopefully you manage to get one of the solar ones in to have a look at as the thickness should be better and it would fit on my manly (not) wrist 😂 loved the intro and ps joining is fantastic and totally worth it!
It's more expensive than an entry level Grand Seiko (used). Bc that makes sense. 🙄
Yeah, excellent points The limited editions are going to sell out. The standard ones though, I can imagine them getting discounted pretty quickly, they're definitely overpriced. The solar models will likely be very good sellers.
Neat and clean and also sharp.
I don’t know what your complaining about… that’ll easy slip under a wizards sleeve. Seiko are tripping with their prices though. 😂
Hahahaha 10 years time you won’t find a Seiko under £400 mark my words!
Limited edition I presume
Oh yes;)
Oh Seiko
Seiko are alienating their customers with these overpriced limited editions. The solar chronographs are more like it. £300 and they would be in the right price range.
Think your right Richard ! It helps the homage market grow stronger and stronger everyday!
Your best intro by far. But overall a clickbait infomercial feel since you held the crazy $3,500 USD price till the end - tease. Looks great though. Would have been your funniest video yet if you started with the price.
Hahahahaha thank you Lee! Well I did give my verdict of that Alpinist at the start!;)
The dial is perfect but too tubby for my wrist. That dial, though - not easily forgotten.
DUUUUUDE🤯 that's thick boy what the 🦆 is seiko doing 🤦♂️ ... It looks like a fancy ben 10 watch from the side 🤣🤣🤣 if breitling can do a slim chrono any watch making can I mean Breitling Aeromarine Chrono Avenger M1 is a beauty of a watch ... this seiko is the same just flatten it dont get me wrong I LOVE sieko just dont like the pricing and now on this "stunner" the thickness 🤯 great review MWC 🤙
simply gorgeous,
That's what throws me off with basically every chronograph: the side profile.
Just.Too.Thick.
I hear ya my friend! Thanks for watching!
@@THEMADWATCHCOLLECTOR Always my pleasure!
You're right too expensive. I have seen good reviews on their solar chrono's.
This is perfect to time the duration of an English test innings.
Hahahahaha
Beautiful timepiece but a little too tall (and very pricey). Was looking at another vintage chrono made famous by Brad Pitt, the Citizen Bullhead reissued. I thought that it is another interesting timepiece with a nice history to add into the watch box. Nice size too. What do you think? 😊 BTW Congrats Russell, for reaching the 10K milestone before December! 👏🏻
The `HOW TO DO A SCREEN SHOT ON MAC`- SCREENSHOT. :-D
Those pushers are so big, they should have made this one a bullhead.
Great review, but at that price there are just too many better options in my opinion. I also expect better tolerances with the movement for that money, i would be horrified losing 20 secs a day having spent almost 3k :)
Wow a seiko limited edition thwts actually limited, sweet but 2k ouch
Yeah m thoughts to my friend;)
A bit big for me and not too sure if I would pay that much money for it.
Have you seen the new Smirhs vintage inspired mono pusher chronograph military watch in black, it even has the broad arrow
For the speedtimer ,the pusher is excessively long .Can catch sleeves &dig into hands.plus water seal problems when hit? Finally price insanely unaffordable!Last watch to choose for design .
With that price it should be called the Heart Stopper!
I will take my Seagull, Commie branding and all.
Great Review Russ, as always!
I LIKE IT ALOT..😎VERY " Surgical" LOOKING..! OUT OF MY PRICE RANGE.🙏GOD
Love it - Tempting - too expensive for the spec
Agree with you my friend but I reckon this will be very desirable 10 years down the line;£
@@THEMADWATCHCOLLECTOR it’s very desirable now! But I can’t afford it
Defo didn’t sound like Mr P said Cut btw 🤣
It’s a nice looking watch but at that price Seiko are pricing themselves out of mass appeal. It’s not far off £3k and at that price point you are into tonnes of seriously nice watches that put this one completely in the shade in terms of brand, history and dial materials frankly. I’d expect an enamel dial or something from Seiko for that money.
Great points Dom! I think it’ll be collectible in the future but right now if you bought one you may lose a bit of money
Or you can get the rather splendid Sea - Gull column wheel Chronograph for under £200. Just saying 🤔
Good call;)
And, in true Seiko fashion, the bracelet looks like it was designed by a completely different group of people, for a completely different watch. 🤣
The solar versions look great but the automatics are just too expensive. I also prefer the look of the solar ones.
Cracking entertainment..... Yes it's gorgeous but flipping heck it should be at that price!! I also wouldn't want the service bill......😳 Is it horological heresy to suggest that the best 2k Seiko is a Grand Seiko with 9f quartz? 😳
Hahaha not at all Neil!!;)
@@THEMADWATCHCOLLECTOR ... Keep it up, you're a pleasure to watch! 👌
Pins and collars are more effective than screws and that’s a fact
Absolutely but takes a little more finesse and hard work together with more than one tool my friend. Screws are just more user friendly yet not as secure?
@@THEMADWATCHCOLLECTOR I have too 10$ tool from Amazon does the best job while my metal fifty fathoms has a very complicated screw system on both sides and I can’t size it on my own, price of extra luxury
Ive been skipping your channel for some time now, cos I tot you would be like archie (crazy dude). But hey, what do you know, I kinda enjoy ur video.
Hahaha! Finally grounded you down!!!;) well thanks for watching my friend!
That is expensive and too damn big!! 😅😅 but still pretty
Hahahaha! Lovely looking though man ay? But yes too big;(
Another high price from Seiko. For that price I would rather have the ‘Longines Avigation Type A-7’. And that type of price it’s starting encroach on the entry level Grand seiko’s.
Yes! I think the Longines Big Eye may still come on top over this one Glynn! But in the metal, in your hands it’s a tremendous watch
@@THEMADWATCHCOLLECTOR no doubt it’s a nice watch, but it smarts a bit when you can get one prospex for around £400 and then this at £2500. It would make more sense to (and I’ve said this before) have prospex up to around £850 then have a new line something Seiko elite, decorate the movement. Then you’ve got Seiko 5, prospex, prestige, then ‘elite’ and final grand Seiko
