    This has a facade of trying to appear unbiased but is clearly biased toward GMOs being a net positive, which is far from the truth. Roundup is now being re-examined by the EPA as a cancer-causing agent. It has been shown beyond doubt that glyphosate has a massively deleterious effect on the human microbiome and therefore on human health. I sincerely hope you will reconsider the information that you are putting into impressionable peoples' minds.

    This video forgot to mention that GMO foods were actually developed to boost Monsanto's low glyphosate sales. Monsanto was originally created as a chemical company and developed many chemicals that were used for warfare, especially during the first two world wars. Agent Orange in Vietnam. Monsanto also went on to develop plastics. They then developed glyphosate (Round Up) in 1974 and couldn't get enough farmers to trust the product or to use it. To boost Round Up sales, Monsanto then decided to create GMO crops and market them as a good companion crop for Round Up. They also told the public that GMO crops would improve crop yields (there is a lack of unbiased scientific data that proves this claim to be true). The first GMO crop, tomatoes, were released in 1994 and Round Up sales finally took off! This is the original reason that GMO crops were developed.

    Long storage on the shelf is good for sales, but does it decrease the nutritional value of the food for those whom consume them. If they don't break down on the shelf will they break down in the stomach? What about the chemicals used to kill weeds and bugs... are they good for humans to consume? Do the chemicals harm the microflora in our stomachs? What testing on humans has been done to insure that these foods don't cause bad health or death?

    Yeah my aunt who died already was allergic to peanuts but she was allergic also to oatmeal because most oatmeal today are genetically modified with peanut genes but I'm not against GMO

      This is absolutely false. Not a single food has been modified with peanut genes. Further, unless the oatmeal is made something else besides oats, there's no GMO content at all.

    This video fails to mention that GMO crops were originally created to help sell glyphosate (Round Up). Monsanto began as a chemical company making chemicals for use in warfare, including during the first two world wars. They also created Agent Orange for use in Vietnam. They also created plastics. In 1974, Monsanto developed glyphosate but sales were dismal since farmers didn't trust using this chemical on their crops. To boost glyphosate sales, Monsanto developed the first GMO crops in 1994 and that's when Round Up sales finally started taking off! GMO crops were never developed to increase crop yields or benefit human and environmental health; they were developed to sell glyphosate! The lack of unbiased scientific data that proves that glyphosate is safe and that GMO crops increase crop yield speaks volumes.

      There were many companies producing Agent Orange for the United States Military at THEIR specifications for the Vietnam War and it has not been produced since 1969. Monsanto ceased to exist over 7 years ago. All that is left of Monsanto is an empty filing cabinet. There are many companies even foreign companies producing and selling glyphosate. Glyphosate is the safest herbicide farmers have ever used even safer than many of the pesticides Organic Growers use. You are clueless about this subject!!

      @davidadcock3382 Monsanto was bought by Bayer so they are operating under another name. It's also easy to find ongoing lawsuits involving glyphosate and farmers so the only one unaware of the dangers of glyphosate are those who haven't seen these filings and who aren't aware of the BILLIONS of dollars paid out to exposed farmers. The biggest case was recently out of FL and involved a farmer who was awarded over $1 BILLION dollars by Monsanto/Bayer for non-hodgkin's lymphoma that was directly linked to decades of exposure to glyphosate. Obviously the evidence was overwhelming enough for the court to award him such a large sum of money. Engaging in ad hominem attacks instead of listing facts shows that one's level of knowledge is low to none. The information is out there that glyphosate is toxic. I would recommend doing research instead of spreading marketing propaganda. I am in school completing a Bachelor of Science degree in Holistic Nutrition and we are presented a lot of evidence that glyphosate is dangerous so your statement of my level of knowledge is the only thing that lacks knowledge.

      I bought an orange a couple of days ago, I didn’t see any seed in it. I was shook because oranges typically have seeds in them. The western world is becoming a dangerous place

    So what's about organic seedless grape

    • @charlesmrader
      @charlesmrader Год назад

      When he talked about seedless grapes and seedless watermelon, he was strictly correct about them being genetically modified, but that is not what the video is really about. ALL the ANTI-GMO claims are about a modification transferring genes from one organism to another using a technology called recombinant DNA science. The anti-GMO groups, the European labeling rules, the organic specifications, all are using GMO as a shorthand term for genetically modified using recombinant DNA technology, and seedless grapes and seedless watermelons are genetically modified by very different methods.
