I remember reading a comment way back about TF2 that stuck with me till this day. "You don't quit tf2, you just take breaks."
The cartoony graphics is one of the biggest reasons, look at Fortnite, Minecraft,Roblox, Clash royale maybe( i still play it to this day) none of them looks realistic and all of them are verry good optimized
One thing I love about tf2 is that I can hop on and always find a match regardless of when I played it last.
I played TF2 on and off as a free to players. I played this game until I got bored and then I came back sometime. That's the beauty of this game. *It never dies*

Tf2 on the orange box for xbox 360 still somehow has servers. Not a lot, but still impressive because this version hasn't gotten an update since 2009

It's like the birth of the hero shooter - nine different heroes with different playstyles and ways of getting good, a shit ton of maps, one of the hospitals where lootcrates were born, it has a varied customisation system, and the characters in it drop constant one liners that feel humourous.
Plus the dancing.

As someone who does art as a hobby TF2 has this absurdly cartoonish art style that makes drawing fanart fun but it also has enough realism to actually be a good reference for practice :)
(The plus side of actually playing the game is that it’s just silly and the community is fun)
I hope TF2 doesn’t have its servers taken offline ever.

I too was eating playdough and didn't know I was missing out on a free multiplayer first person shooter.
There is a level of spite involved in the community. Keeping the game alive pisses off Valve since they would rather kill it and move on to something more profitable. But hellfire would rain down upon them if that ever happens, so they have to keep it going.

Cant believe i came back to this videos years later its been what a decade
I actually started getting back into tf2 with someone new, and me and him have had a blast. With 70+ hours now, I'm starting to realize why everyone loves it so much ❤❤
I started tf2 back in 2023 and it soon became my favourite game as the bots got banned
this is legit at the perfect time. I started playing like a month or so ago and its an extremely fun experience.

TF2 is addictive... The voices tell me to play TF2. When playing Pyro, they tell me that i should stay in my waterpool and play with my plastic duck, while my Team is calling for help and i should go help them.

3:51 As a Medic main, this isn’t accurate. Playing him is 90% “DON’T YOU DIE ON ME!” and 10% (dies instantly to some form of high damage the nanosecond you have full Ubercharge)

I’m not exactly a old TF2 player and I think the first time I played was back in 2021 on a crappy PC I had, I think I played it twice (now on my proper PC I play it more) but even though I’ve only been playing for 4 years I still feel nostalgic about tf2
