    Love this. I wish more guys were doing SQ budget builds. Europeans got it figured out. If you watch the EMMA finalists, most have simple 5-7 speaker setups with inexpensive gear.

    In July, in Eastern Europe I stumbled upon a 18-time SQ champion in a Focus. Check this setup:
    1) Silver Flutes mids
    2) XT 25 Tweets
    3) 12” Avatar sub (orange)
    5 channel Apocalypse
    PRV dsp
    5 speakers total
    Told me he spent less than 800 euros and it sounded incredible.

      PRV DSP? I’ve been looking for a budget friendly DSP and I see this one around everywhere! Is it really as good as it seems to be?

    Man you should really look into crossing those midbass’s over around 60 and lower the sub crossover.. a good tune will get those few lower scores up

    Stock systems are 1000x better than when I was young. In my 1981 280ZX, I put in Alpine seperates with Pioneer 6x9s in the back with a JL 10" sub powered by a 5 channel Alpine V12. Loud and clear.

    Very nice setup. Im Running 4 Skar TX65 (doors 100rms) , Skar SDR dual 8 subs (800rms), 1 in Skar Compression driver on a 20x100 horn (filling out from the back towards the front sitting on rear seat deck), Skar RP 800 amp for sub & Power Akoustic 4x100watts for mids/Highs, PRV DSP for all crossover settings/delay/eq/gains, a Blaupunkt EX1700 bass processor (for when jamming out to 80s) Car is sound deadened. All OFC wire. Big 3 upgrade. All under 1k. people thinkg i got 2 12s . SQ & SPL setup. Also have the sub port facing towards the cabin and facing the back of rear seat. I have the other rear seat down letting all the air go into the car cabin (found this gives the sub a long throw effect as you can hear the bass really good outside the car and with the compression driver sitting on the rear seat deck opening the windows also lets highs and mids travel really far outside the car. I bet your setup sounds better those Deaf Bounce are top shelf stuff!

    It's hard to come up with a really good sounding "budget" entry level system. But compared to the OEM stereo in most cars will still be a definite improvement. Not "budget" but not expensive either, the "best" 5.25 and 6.5 inch speakers regardless of price is the Polk Marine DB+ speakers. The 6.5 coaxial are $100 pair, and are distortion free with great frequency response. with a rated 100W RMS. to get the most out of them you do need to give them some watts so an amp is in order. But they are really fantastic sounding speakers, and myself wouldn't put anything "less" in my car. Because if it doesn't sound "great" why bother I figure? But that's just me. (and they do sound "great", nothing else touches them).

    I think it may score better if the mids were crossed over lower than 750hz, This would bring more of the vocal up on to the dash and leave the doors only playing the really low mid-bass

      The door project a better sound field that you would think, but good point!

    Question…not pertaining to the video. Running the big boss 8k on 2 American bass xmaxx 12s 3k rms each. I have dd-1 everything at 0db, clean power and signal on 96ah headway and voltage doesn’t drop below 13.2. My subs are still getting really hot after about 10 min of 25-35hrtz. Should I re dd-1 everything for -5db to clear this problem up? Subs smelled like burnt wire today and it kinda scared me. Any advice?

    • @CarAudioEnthusiasts
      @CarAudioEnthusiasts  3 месяца назад +1

      invert the subs, better cooling. playing lower cools better, but forcing power through the box rise can create more heat. honestly, give em breaks more often, monitor the temps, that stuff helps, i have zero heat issues though get this, i can run 2-3 slamming tracks, then go put my finger on the voice coils, and hold it there...is that nuts? im running 4 2k rms 12s, on an 8k amp.

      06 Nissan Sentra lol. I def know what your using I pondered doing deafbonce before I went with the American bass…I think your on to something tho! It’s a trunk build so I can’t invert….can I send you some pics? So you know what I’m speaking about. The ass end of the car is gutted so maybe cut the back deck and backseat housing out, build into the car or maybe take front seats out and slide a bigger box in? Or just wall it?

    This video of this so-called budget-friendly stereo installation is as far from the truth! As is its going to get!!
    due to the fact this is NOT a budget build whatsoever,I don't know how many subwoofers I counted but an SQ system does not utilize more than one subwoofer!! Sound quality in the Auto industry does not rely on a dozen 12-in subwoofers to reproduce low frequency audio Spectrum so right there it's obvious this low budget is actually a multi thousand-dollar rig pretending to be cost-effective which is completely erroneous and falsified information.. .

    • @CarAudioEnthusiasts
      @CarAudioEnthusiasts  6 месяцев назад +1

      you are sort of correct, however the money is more in making it very loud. the SQ side doesnt require all the power i have in reserve. this is more of an example of how to build an SQ setup. the things to look for, the right places to spend the money. my tahoe can and has competed well in SPL thats where all the money went, that and experimenting.
