    05:00 We’re 26th poorest city, 54th unequal, but #1 most segregated city in the country.

      Years of property policy piles up. Our street & neighborhood patterns are old - from the early 20th century.

      14:45 Beacon hill neighborhood: nobody of “negro or Mexican descent” may live in this neighborhood. These neighborhoods were heavily restricted.

      17:25 Harlandale, Prospect Hill, etc - neighborhoods from north, south, east, & west were all deed restricted.

      21:00 Immigrants & people of color lived in west side San Antonio. This housing was more modest.

    I appreciate the history of racial/ethnic discrimination & redlining, but not of "economic segregation" as indicated above. This is a different component not yet addressed . . .

    I'm pretty sure that people in South Africa got it a lot worse than San Antonio.
