It looks like an hp 57/67 color cartridge if you ask me
@@ZoeyR86 yes someone said the HP67 will work which would be a more adorable option.
@@ZoeyR86 57 is what I was guessing
@@ChadsCustomCreations if I knew enough to have an idea of how much stuff I'd have to buy to have a good chance to win, I would go for it, I really want an xtool Lazer cutter/engraver I have a cricut, so those functions are already covered, and the inkjet printing would be great but where I live it is so dry that a cartridge works for one use then it dries up and is worthless unless I print something every day, miss a day, cartridge is dead. I have lived here 4 years, I have gone through 4 printers, one had been working for 20+ years (near the beach where I used to live) and one for 3 years before moving here to the driest place on the planet. So both of those are dead, and one other, now I'm on my 4th printer, and it stopped working properly last week, and I have gone through 13 cartridges, I had 20 when I moved here so I still have some 56, 57 and 58 HP cartridge but they only work for a couple days then they are so dried up and clogged they are worthless...
That was all a very long way of saying the color printing capabilities would be worthless to me, until I moved again.
I wonder if you would still have this issue since when the print head is not in use it has a cover that is only removed when printing. Once it’s finished it automatically picks the magnetic cover back up.
I Have This Machine .... It Does Indeed Fit Into The MultiTool Usefulness! I Own Standalone Devices For Each Of The Separate Skill Sets And I Have Found That The Ease Of Tool Change Saves Me Lots Of Time On Small Projects! The Most Need For Improvement Lends To The Inkjet Printing As I Own A Multitude Of High End Printers - The Is No Need For Great Expectations - The Limitations On Print Quality Is Built Into The Box So Therefore Acceptable. The Simp!e Fact That I Can Do Three & Sometimes Four Different Effects On A Piece Of Material All On One Device Has Led To My Overall Satisfaction With The Product!
@@BoldReflections that’s a great review right there in this comment alone. Thanks for taking the time to write that! The fact that it is all in one machine with one set of software is a huge time saver for sure.
Sorry, did you type your message with this machine too?

13:00 You're wise to worry about faux leather. It's composed of vinyl (i.e. PVC) or polyurethane. Either would produce toxic fumes.
@@AwestrikeFearofGods that’s what I thought. I did just find that this is labeled as “laserable” PU I was hoping to find a composition sheet about it on their website but couldn’t find anything. I know there are lots of other companies selling similar “laserable” leather but let’s be honest any fumes or even from just smoke from wood or natural leather is not something we should be breathing in.
@@ChadsCustomCreations Fair enough. Polyurethane, leather, and (to a much lesser extent) wood have nitrogen containing polymers, and so all can produce cyanides. However, I’d probably worry more about PVC.
@@AwestrikeFearofGods I am with you 100% on that honestly anytime I am lasering something man made like acrylic I put up a WiFi camera and get out of there so I don’t have to smell the fumes.
I want to thank you so much for this thorough review and walkthrough of its features. I’ve known about xTools for a while but thought I’d just get the Cricut Maker 3 and get a laser sometime in the future. xTools really knows the maker market space that the Ultra is competing for, so I’m seeing a LOT of their influencer marketing campaigns in Cricut space. Add your video to m today’s Black Friday sale and, yeah, I had to finally pull the trigger . 😂
I decided on the 10W, but I hope I’m as happy with it as you are with the 20W.
@@TammiLColesinGermany thank you for saying that! The 10w is still plenty of power and can still cut through all the woods and stuff I showed. It will just be at a slower pace which with that big of a discount is a good choice that I don’t think you will regret.
17:17 it appears to be an HP print cartridge there has been repurposed, do they let you know what number of HP cartridge is so you can just buy those?
Based on the video I'd guess the answer to my question in a big fat NO, they did not give the exact number of HP cartridge
I believe they did tell someone HP67 should be a direct fit.
Nice review I can see where this could fit into many people’s work flow. Cool machine
@@kevinrich4637 thank you Kevin it’s a pleasure to see you here again! It is a neat machine it definitely exceeded my expectations.
I am looking forward to seeing what other modules or print heads they have planned for it.
I honestly would love to see them work on the V2 of this, cause the print module is amazing, and once they figure out how to get that to do white ink 'and' a bit higher resolution, then there's no telling what you can do.
I agree I think it can just get better from here. I was impressed with the resolution on the wood it really did look great with no noticeable dots. I am unaware of the dots per inch of this module but overall I am just stoked that I can print on so many different things now.
They did mention new print modules for this machine so I can’t wait to see what those end up being.
solution to the marker height issue. locate limit switch for the lid and lock it so it is permanently in a closed state while doing cutting and pen operations. Obviously do not do this if your using the laser.
That's a great hack! I am going to have to try it!
Thank You for sharing all your projects. I just got this machine. It’s a bit overwhelming.
My pleasure thank you for watching! It is a bit overwhelming with how many different tools but once you get a little practice with each it starts to become second nature and your creativity will begin to flow freely.
@@ChadsCustomCreations I got an Autero and it was a nightmare. I did the video for the company and never used it again.
Hoping for better results with this one.
@@lateknightcreations I am sorry to hear that. Xtool is not the cheapest but they have a lot of pride and honor in their products I think you will be pleasantly surprised with it.
I’m super new to laser machines, so this could be a silly question, but does it cut acrylic? I’m wanting to make silicone moulds and am told acrylic is a good medium to make my mould templates
@@aislingelizabethauthor no problem at all I am happy to help.
This is what most call a diode laser which can cut lots of (opaque) not clear acrylics. And is most effective on say black acrylic.
The true king of cutting all acrylics even clear ones would still be Co2 lasers like the xTool P2
@ brilliant. Thank you. I don’t think I would need it to be clear. Thank you again
@ perfect in that case I think the M1 ultra would be a great fit for you and give you the most versatility.
Great video, thanks for sharing. Can you share what type/brand of sealer you use with the Canvas and Slate projects?
Here is exactly what I use www.woodworkingshop.com/product/m61025407/
Whats the biggest size of material that we can cut with thd machine?
@@panktishah5289 laser working area is 11.8”x11.8”
I'm working with this machine as well. Nice overview of its functions. I've been told that HP67 ink cartridges are a direct drop-in for it. xTool told me that I needed to use the smaller desktop fume extractor instead of the larger version.
@@Vintauri awesome looking forward to seeing your take on it. That’s great to hear I am seeing HP67 name brand for just $19.
Oh makes sense why my hose didn’t fit that great but I think I do see an adapter on their site now also.
@@ChadsCustomCreations I saw on another RUclips Video it was an HP62 cartridge…..maybe 67 is similar.
I’ve had my eye on this machine! I have their D1 Pro. If we purchase and enter the giveaway, how can we find xtools announcement for the winner after they’re selected on 10/20?
@@Wndrlnd9 great question, xTool told me they would let me know the winner on the 20th and I could announce the winner. I will do that on a community post here on RUclips. Also with the google form you fill in we will have your email so we can connect with the winner that way also.
@@ChadsCustomCreationsThanks!! 🤞 🗳️
Excellent reviews and I tried to buy this machine but unfortunately I will not be able to buy it today and it seems that I lost the opportunity to try to win this competition even though I did not participate in any competition before but I had a good feeling of winning and in any case I have a question please what do you think of algolaser devices
Thanks for the kind words! I am not familiar with algolaser so I cannot personally comment on them sorry about that.
Thanks for the great video! I'm wondering about that laser engraving "mask" for the glass mug--I've seen these on Amazon--some are green, black, blue, etc...but I saw you had a green one but it didn't laser engrave a green color. Is there a difference in which color of mask you use? Thanks for your time!
@@ValYo0623 thanks for the kind words. As far as I understand it the color of the masking does not matter, what it does is it’s just there to give the laser light something to absorb into then the heat on the glass creates that frosting look that you see. This can also be done with just simple black tempera paint which may be easier to clean off too.
@@ChadsCustomCreations well that's disappointing LOL but good to know!
Thank you so much for this video! I watched a different one from a different channel but yours gave me more peace about this item!
@@brittneroseart so happy to hear this was helpful for you. I am here for you if you have any questions.
would this do well making metal tags or do you need more wattage
@@yeetmaster1607 the 20w does great marking stainless steel. For all metals and such I’d suggest looking at the F1 Ultra I have a video on that one also.
11.81 squared bed so won’t handle A3, ok, is there a machine that will do the same jobs but on a3 size do you know?
Sadly at this point I am unaware of a multipurpose machine like the M1 Ultra that is that large of a work area.
I ordered the M1 Ultra Thank you for your review, Can't wait to try it out and I hope for the best in the Giveaway :D
@@Jonas3D3D great choice! I can’t wait to hear what all you make with it! Keep an ear out for the giveaway I should have the results on the 20th.
This was an incredible watch. I’m actually using this as inspiration for working with my Cricut 🎉
@@whothewho82 such a pleasure to have you here watching, I am glad to hear this is helpful for you even with different machines.
I love that machine... HOW'S EASY FOR DIY 🎉
Same here I initially did not have high expectations for it but it easily exceeded what I thought it could do.
Thank you!!!
Thank you for watching!
Can this engrave steel?
@@asalmighty1540 the 20w can you can see it in this video on the stainless steel tumbler I even went a little too hot
@ sorry! I thought that was aluminum! Thanks for the quick reply.
@ no problem at all, now aluminum is not engravable with the 20w diode for that I’d recommend the xtool F1 ultra which has a 20w fiber for all metals and a 20w diode for all organics.
Instructions unclear, you use your cardigan to press down on the vinyl?
😂 you’re so right about that, I love that you caught that!
Pls try not to use credit card for ur videos. The details u reveal might be enough for someone to abuse it
Yes you’re right definitely risky I made sure to review that footage multiple times to be sure nothing too important was shared.
Do you realize how many times you said "I"?
@@JO-ly3hi “I” actually have no idea can you time stamp them for “I”?
Sorry to be that guy: A "Jack of all trades" is, in fact, "master of none". "Jack of all trades" refers to the unspecialized skills of a generalist, not expertly versed in any single thing.
