We finally have our first look at Alien: Romulus directed by Fede Álvarez and this is coming off of the heels of “Prey”, from 20th Century and Hulu. The quality of these reboots, so far, has been incredible and judging by the look and feel of this teaser, I’m already anticipating that they are going to knock this one out of the park! It is set between “Alien” and “Aliens” and the short synopsis for the movie is - “Young people from a distant world must face the most terrifying life form in the universe.”

I can say without a shadow of a doubt Facehuggers are the scariest stage of the Xenomorph. Just the idea of a spider like appendage grabbing onto your face and laying an embryo inside of you which will later burst out of your chest is terrifying. Prey was an incredible movie BTW.

Amazing and somewhat sad that the last Alien release that did Alien justice was Isolation back in 2013. This is looking promising. Fingers crossed.

It's literally called in English "ALIEN: KING". Romulus is latin for King. More facts to piece is it takes place 20 years after Alien. In Aliens Ripley states she left her daughter at age 11. 20 years later means her daughter is 30ish and maybe married with a new last name to hide the twist she is Ripley's daughter and this is about the king alien that impregnantes the queen we see giving birth in "Aliens". The pieces of the puzzle are there.

Hmm the cast seems really young. That speaks to Disney corporate meddling to chase demographics instead of prioritizing story. I just can’t take a bunch of angsty 20 year olds in space seriously, this might be like the movie Scream, a c-level teen-horror movie. Really hope not.
