I've used multiple brand AC(s). LG was the best in terms of cooling, silent operation, compact outdoor unit, consumption and after-sales service. Dual inverter is a unique technology from LG which is an added benefit and it's slightly pricier than many other brands, but it's worth it in the long run.

Vaccuming is included in the process as per company policy. But, Most brands do not do it, including Panasonic and LG. You can ask the installation team when they call you before installation, to bring the vaccum machine.
LG is better. I don't find any issues with Panasonic either. Panasonic has a zinc coated outdoor unit ideal for coastal areas. That's why I bought this one.

Any WiFi Hotspot with a working internet should work. But you need to keep Hotspot always ON, right. You can use a Jio Hotspot better. If using phone, you will need to turn on Hotspot, not WiFi.
In 2023, go for inverter AC only. If you need exceptional cooling and don't worry about electricity bill, then only choose non inverter. One more thing, Inverter AC works at low voltage, but non inverter needs consistent electricity. Load koodiyal oodila...

Personally i don't find the smart features much useful other than for energy monitoring and setting sleep mode. The Panasonic app misses out lot of options. Try LG Thinq series too if u are looking for smart ac. If you are confused between any two specific models, check the ODU and IDU specs, choose the one with larger sizes as larger units means better cooling
My LG Inverter is making a humming noise on outdoor unit. LG Non inverter from 2015 is super super silent. Panasonic has only wind sound, also silent. But in general LG acs donot have noise issues. Indoor unit, i do not like the design of Panasonic, it's warm white + cool white color looks very odd.Base models are even worser. Similarly all models of LG have same remote, while on Pansonic base model remote looks like a toy from 1990's with a tiny display. Overall, LG has a better aesthetics even for base models.. Also LG ac remembers, 40%,50% etc setting while Panasonic remote doesnt. Not a big deal if u r using for closed rooms. if u are planning to keep ODU in rain or bad weather go for Panasonic models with zinc coating. Ultimately, Both are equally good.
It might happen. Just verify that the model number written on both are same. Usually ODU and IDU are two diff units, you can see they have a different MRP also printed on it

It's true. No fresh air like car. If u eat food etc in an AC room the smell will remain there for many days. I use an exhaust once in a day to flush out air every morning.

I am using a 1.5 Ton LG in a 250 Sq feet room. It works, but it takes longer to cool and if you set it at 20 degrees, it will never reach that temperature, the room is on top floor too. So technically you would need two 2 ton acs. But again it all depends on the temp difference you are trying to achieve. If your room is not so hot normally and you need a basic cooling, you will need lesser tonnage than the recommended one. Try with one 2 Ton ac initially and see if it solves the issue. And go for heavy duty models from Mitsubishi or Hitachi if you have budget. They are very powerful.

Bro, My room is 175 SqFt and having direct sunlight window. When I check, Panasonic 1.5 Ton (CS/CU-NU18YKY5W) suitable for 180 sqft and LG 1.5 Ton (RS-Q19YNZE) suitable for 150 sqft. Also looked BlueStar DCU 5 STAR 1.5 Ton, but I didn't find its room size anywhere. If I go with LG, is it a mistake or I go with Panasonic? Asking for LG because the nearest service center for Panasonic and BlueStar is 30km. Not going for 2 Ton anyway.
Go ahead with LG. Cooling capacity is mostly similar for all ac with 1.5 Ton, you can see that as watts on energy label. Websites put room size wrongly usually. Panasonic recommends 1 ton till 140 SQft and 1.5 ton till 180 SQft. I have an LG 1.5 ton in 210 SQ feet, cooling is not that fast, but yes eventually it cools down room.
Some reviews says, parts are missing. But hope u will get it right. Installation will be always from brand and it costs around 1400 rs, arranged by amazon itself.
Bought Panasonic wifi 1ton 3 stat ac from flipkart. Delivery and installation were prompt. Very good product at rs 32 k. There is option to run at as low as 40% compressor speed which consumes only half the power even if run the whole night.

It depends. If you frequently use alexa and voice commands, it will be helpful. For example, i have a friend who rarely uses remote.In my case, i dont really use voice commands, unless my remote is missing. I also uses mobile app in that case. Another advantage of Smart ac is that, you can set schedules, if you use ac regularly. for example, if u use ac at night everyday you can set it. Its very helpful. Temperature and sleep mode is set automatically. Then you can also monitor power usage, if its spiking, you need to clean the ac. Only downside of smart ac is the PCB will be more costly than a regular inverter ac. In case, it breaks after 5 yr warranty period.

Both are equally good brands. Convertible option doesn’t make any difference. Whether you use it in 40% or 100% usage is the same. Check the outdoor and indoor unit sizes and go for the larger one.
I have recently brought the HU series 2023 model 1.5 model.. Though I have an inverter model, the outdoor shut off when the AC reaches the desired set temperature (e.g., 25c or 26c). It generally starts functioning again after a certain amount of time. Do you know if this is normal? please help 🙏🙏
@@anilgeorge1988 7 in 1 is not useful on Panasonic, since you have to set the percentage everytime by pressing 5 or 6 times the Converti7 button. On LG the remote remembers it. Again, all acs are auto convertible. So it switches to 40,55, 70 etc based on rooms temp automatically.

Don't blindly go with 5 star thinking it will consume less. 100% load power consumption(during March) is only 423watt(outside temp 30.4C 89%RH, inside 29.7C, 93%RH) @night and 460watts @noon(outside temp 32C 84%RH, inside 31.8C, 87%RH) It's OK to buy previous year label as I have AC with iseer 6.1, 4 years old and still ac with iseer 6.1 rating is 5 star. There is not much innovation going in AC field companies are just adding some features that was previously available with an extra device like, Melissa. Instead of finding ways to reduce power consumption.

Daikin 6.2 iseer is easily available but price is 47k, insane price compared to 6.1 iseer one. Let's see hows the new model going to perform. If you want really to lower your power consumption just check for iseer and don't believe everything that sales guy tells you.

നിങ്ങൾ free installation/subsidised installation/ standard installation ഇതിൽ ഏതെങ്കിലുമാണ് choose ചെയുന്നത് എങ്കിൽ vaccum ചെയില്ല. Vaccum ചെയ്ത് ഉള്ള installation ന് charge കുറച്ച് കൂടുതലാവും. കൂടാതെ എല്ലാ service center ലും vaccum pump കാണണമെന്നുമില്ല.

@@Iamloki07 Go for LG. My friend bought it last week for Hyderabad and is totally satisfied. I have added same model's link in desc as - "LG 1.5 Ton 2024, 5 Star, No WiFi". Panasonic smart is not so useful and when it comes to pcb replacement, Smart PCBs cost more than normal ones.So its not worth going for. Pansonic cools slightly more faster than LG though.
Extended warranty No. Since PCB has 5 year warranty. Annual maintainance, i sometimes use Croma Zipcare which includes 1 wet service + Gas filling at 999.
@@lijojacob It highly depends on the way you use it and dust in your area. Just check the status of ODU fins and IDU filter and see urself.. I clean ODU twice a year and IDU filters every month. Cleaning IDU filter is easy and you can do it urself.

There can be some variations in cooling capacity depending on compressor design. 3500 is the standard for 1 ton, but some models have around 3350 and some heavy models are even 3600+. Dont worry about it.
For many brands including Panasonic, it’s not possible. I asked them. Because after installation, only authorised technicians can register the warranty for ur ac. You can check with local shop which brands this is possible. Shops know this better because some shops offer free installation using their own technicians.
I don't have proper answer for that, as all my rooms are of different sizes and again it depends on models. Its more or less similar for normal models. But if you need super fast cooling, you should go for heavy models from Mitsubishi or Daikin, and it costs almost double.

Yes. You will need after PCB warranty period. There is a huge variation in voltage in many places in Kerala. AC has built in protection. But stabilizer thanne adich pokuna kanditille. Similarly it can get damaged, but it might protect main PCB which cost 12-15K. I have replaced power circuit board for my inverter ac last year at 6 K. And repair can cost around 2500+. Compared, stabilizer cost less than 2000 only. And you can replace yourself without anyones help.

@@beucephalus4800 I tested the energy usage on app with 40% and normal mode. But there is not much diff in power usage. In 40% mode cooling is less, but cooling runs for longer time. Basically A/C switches to low power mode automatically in normal mode when temperature is reached.

See if the compressor fan is running more frequently than usual. This can happen due to clogging air filter. Try cleaning the air filter and see if it solves the issue.

Yes, it can be used, no issues. it will cool super fast in 2 or 3 minutes. For 10 x 10 room, even 1 ton is more that enough.

Similarly all models of LG have same remote, while on Pansonic base model remote looks like a toy from 1990's with a tiny display. Overall, LG has a better aesthetics even for base models.. Also LG ac remembers, 40%,50% etc setting while Panasonic remote doesnt. Not a big deal if u r using for closed rooms. if u are planning to keep ODU in rain or bad weather go for Panasonic models with zinc coating. Ultimately, Both are equally good.

It might happen. Just verify that the model number written on both are same. Usually ODU and IDU are two diff units, you can see they have a different MRP also printed on it

I am using a 1.5 Ton LG in a 250 Sq feet room. It works, but it takes longer to cool and if you set it at 20 degrees, it will never reach that temperature, the room is on top floor too. So technically you would need two 2 ton acs. But again it all depends on the temp difference you are trying to achieve. If your room is not so hot normally and you need a basic cooling, you will need lesser tonnage than the recommended one. Try with one 2 Ton ac initially and see if it solves the issue. And go for heavy duty models from Mitsubishi or Hitachi if you have budget. They are very powerful.

When I check, Panasonic 1.5 Ton (CS/CU-NU18YKY5W) suitable for 180 sqft and LG 1.5 Ton (RS-Q19YNZE) suitable for 150 sqft. Also looked BlueStar DCU 5 STAR 1.5 Ton, but I didn't find its room size anywhere.
If I go with LG, is it a mistake or I go with Panasonic? Asking for LG because the nearest service center for Panasonic and BlueStar is 30km. Not going for 2 Ton anyway.
Go ahead with LG. Cooling capacity is mostly similar for all ac with 1.5 Ton, you can see that as watts on energy label. Websites put room size wrongly usually. Panasonic recommends 1 ton till 140 SQft and 1.5 ton till 180 SQft. I have an LG 1.5 ton in 210 SQ feet, cooling is not that fast, but yes eventually it cools down room.

It depends. If you frequently use alexa and voice commands, it will be helpful. For example, i have a friend who rarely uses remote.In my case, i dont really use voice commands, unless my remote is missing. I also uses mobile app in that case. Another advantage of Smart ac is that, you can set schedules, if you use ac regularly. for example, if u use ac at night everyday you can set it. Its very helpful. Temperature and sleep mode is set automatically. Then you can also monitor power usage, if its spiking, you need to clean the ac. Only downside of smart ac is the PCB will be more costly than a regular inverter ac. In case, it breaks after 5 yr warranty period.

Both are equally good brands. Convertible option doesn’t make any difference. Whether you use it in 40% or 100% usage is the same. Check the outdoor and indoor unit sizes and go for the larger one.

It's OK to buy previous year label as I have AC with iseer 6.1, 4 years old and still ac with iseer 6.1 rating is 5 star. There is not much innovation going in AC field companies are just adding some features that was previously available with an extra device like, Melissa. Panasonic smart is not so useful and when it comes to pcb replacement, Smart PCBs cost more than normal ones.So its not worth going for. Pansonic cools slightly more faster than LG though.

There can be some variations in cooling capacity depending on compressor design. 3500 is the standard for 1 ton, but some models have around 3350 and some heavy models are even 3600+. Dont worry about it.

For many brands including Panasonic, it’s not possible. I asked them. Because after installation, only authorised technicians can register the warranty for ur ac. You can check with local shop which brands this is possible. Shops know this better because some shops offer free installation using their own technicians.

I don't have proper answer for that, as all my rooms are of different sizes and again it depends on models. Its more or less similar for normal models. But if you need super fast cooling, you should go for heavy models from Mitsubishi or Daikin, and it costs almost double.

Yes. You will need after PCB warranty period. There is a huge variation in voltage in many places in Kerala. AC has built in protection. But stabilizer thanne adich pokuna kanditille. Similarly it can get damaged, but it might protect main PCB which cost 12-15K. I have replaced power circuit board for my inverter ac last year at 6 K. And repair can cost around 2500+. Compared, stabilizer cost less than 2000 only. And you can replace yourself without anyones help.

@@beucephalus4800 I tested the energy usage on app with 40% and normal mode. But there is not much diff in power usage. In 40% mode cooling is less, but cooling runs for longer time. Basically A/C switches to low power mode automatically in normal mode when temperature is reached.
