You gotta give props to how creatively they actually kill the Justice League. Batman was shot with a gun. Flash was taken out with a gun. Green Lantern died from a bullet wound from a gun. And Superman was shot with a gun.

@@jdicky2020honestly it should've been an alternative universe batman, so we could have a whole "falling to your own demons, look how far you've fallen" storyline where the good batman tries to save the corrupted one while protecting the squad, and if they really wanted a proper send off for the Arkham batman, have him sacrifice his life to save the world from brainiac, and then have the entire city set up a proper funeral for him. Then we can get a different batman in this universe while paying respect to Kevin and the Arkham legacy

Tbh I feel like that's the point, you're playing as the villains. For them, the Justice League didn't mean anything so killing them didn't upset them in the slightest. However, Wonder Woman's death hit them too because she was more of an ally.

I don’t think Rocksteady is this dumb. Why would they kill off their most iconic and popular character let alone kill off the characters when they debuted in their first game. I think there will be a flashpoint and a flash from a different earth will rewind all of this and fix it. Maybe the suicide squad will team up with the justice league to fight brainiac before the corruption. Especially since they have 11 more brainiac’s left to kill. I think rocksteady wants us to be upset then they will cook something up.

Because developers these days mate like to ruin their reputation. This is what happens when you get new writers and they are that arrogant and that egotistical that they can do a better job than those who came before
comicstorian had a pretty cool theory where this justice league isn’t the real justice league but rather he replaced the league and keeping then in stasis on his ship in order to use their memories to have his evil justice league mimic their personalities realistically. Braniac’s goal is to create a new colu not to destroy earth and maybe it’s a tactic to get humanity to lose faith so they surrender. The justice league doing atrocities and dying will do that. I know a lot of people are probably gonna say i’m coping but with this being a live service game and rocksteady already showed that post launch content will include story and cutscenes so there’s gotta be more to come. Since we’re getting more story it would be stupid to just have the main plot be beat brainiac when you’re still feeling very empty cause you just killed the justice league and the world is kind empty without them. It will take a few seasons probably until we get there but I’m sure we’ll get some hints and teases that the justice league may not be as dead as we think. Rocksteady described post launch content as kinda like when a new issue of comics come out so whenever rocksteady gets the news of when their servers shut down I think that’s when we’ll get to the actual ending of the story and the pay off. It’s risky and i’m sure the interest will drop very low in the following weeks but I hope the game will find its audience so we can see this through.

Dude, no kidding. With the way he starts yelling, I _fully expected_ him to go into a second phase. Or maybe he would jump up again as Boomerang was goofing around. Hell, maybe there _was_ a second phase, and it got scrapped. Just insanely uneventful. Even Hugo Strange had a more eventful death.

I respect people’s frustration with the JL’s deaths but one thing people seem to glance over is that this isn’t the JL, not anymore. They’re like empty husks with the shell’s knowledge, memories, and abilities. The Batman we knew died offscreen on Brainiac’s ship, this was offing a shadow at best. That’s how I see it at least.

They should've had a way that batman is cured and then superman is cured and they all go after brainiac and find a way to reverse the deaths of the other members. I think they're still going to do this. I think once all the braniacs are defeated, the suicide squad basically saves the world and everybody comes back somehow.
like everyone is saying, the first half of this game is great. Great set up, great moments, cool enough gameplay. Then halfway through, everything (story, activities, missions etc.) hits a wall. Story rushes towards an unsatisfactory ending and missions become egregiously repetitive. What a blunder.

I dont believe this was a terrible end for Arkham Batman
A) Kevin would not have signed on if he wasnt happy with this ending
B) It completes Harley's arc - from Joker's apprentice to losing him (twice) and now getting revenge for Arkham City
C) Batman would've wanted this after what he did
D) There is plenty more story to be told in the upcoming seasons so the justice league could come back (eg trapped on brainiac's ship, the lazarus pit etc)
E) If they dont bring them back, this could set up a new game (especially another arkham game with Jason, Dick and Michael avenging Batman)

The fact that they promoted the crap out of this game’s customizations, multiplayer modes, weapon upgrades and other “accessories”, as compared to working on an actually good story for the Arkhamverse Heroes and villains? Flash gets folded with no lasting remarks. Green lantern is dead in his boxers like right after(Don’t get me started on King Shark using his ring with no resistance🙄). Also how come we didn't get a cool sequence with GL or Flash like we did with Batman, twice? I mean I know why but it's a bit biased.
"You could have flown thru them right there" has been my sentiment this whole time. Or when Flash did his thing to Lex, instead of running circles around them, he could have done that to them too. Or just like, punch them and knock em out and take them to Brainiac.

Wow very creative. Instead of giving an actual batman to fight give us a gigantic nightmare version that we just keep shooting till he eventually dies. I hate the way they treated the arkhamverse and tried tying it in to this game. I knew that suicide squad was gonna have some sort of backfire. I believe the TRUE arkhamverse ending will be the ending from Arkham Knight. I mean sure gameplay looks fun and the SUICIDE SQUAD STORY sounds interesting, but the way they treated arkhamverse was just bad. This should have been in its own separate universe.
