I'm about tip choose teh Mars for the same price because of the even better ISO-Lumen rating (1.200 to 2.100). If the 700 ANSI-Liumen in the chart are correct the Mars should have a darker image than the Atom. Would be nice to get a clarification.
damn great review, but you confused me eheheh.. in the sense that I was for the epson ef 12 and now I'm undecided between this and the epson ef12.. I need a projector to keep in the bedroom with a projection distance of about 2.70m, to be watched practically always in the dark and which has good integrated audio.. leaving aside the price, which is better between the 2? I have to say that this is a newer product, but the Epson seems to have better contrast on paper... which one should I choose??

Does anyone rhink this is better than the +2yr old epson ex12? I mean with the discount it seems like a winner. I'm not a gamer anymore but having the 100 inches thrown up on the wall might tease me back, where I'd probably miss the 4k res. 🙈
Epson is one of my fav brands. But the EB-X12 is quite old and outdated, specs are not great. The Dangbei is much better. I can suggest a newer EPSON model EH-LS650B, quite expensive though.
Awesome Chigz but yep top dollah. I think we should be able to get a really useful semi portable fairly compact decent performer for under £1k. The more I dig in here, this plus the discount is a great entry point. ✌️
Both devices would work on this projector. However this projector decodes 4K, so it gets a large 4K image and scales it down to 1080p so image will look better than 1080p but it’s not real 4K

Is the 700 ANSI Lumens on your chart correct? I read for every 1 ISO Lumen = 0.8 ANSI Lumens, which would make 2100 ISO = 1680 ANSI.

So a fire stick 4k max would work on this ? How about a Xbox would it run at 4k 60fps ?
