Both of these dudes are so impressive, not just for winning.
Cpt. Boyle has both a Pathfinder badge and a CIB, and mentioned going to OCS. So it's possible he was former enlisted and top of the heap every step of the way until getting to the 75th.
Cpt. Corson has way less hardware but I'm almost more impressed, because he's Civil Affairs. His day job has nothing to do with anything in the competition (aside from the training everyone does in the 75th). He has to go out of his way to train to get to the same proficiency of Cpt. Boyle. AND he's married. With kids.
On top of that both of these guys are clearly older than the young studs in their early twenties. Amazing.
My brother is an amazing guy and very humble, but hats off to all of the competitors and to Cpt. Boyle
That Civil Affairs officer smoked the Infantry and Infantry Ranger competition. That is def leading by example. Would love to hear more about their preparation routine, they just set the standard.
Is that not an Army Aviator badge that Captain Corson is wearing?
@@thomasdickerson8370 Avation Crewmember, any 15 series mos. The aviator badge for pilots is slightly different.

Lt. Corson was my PL in my 58D Troop back when we were in aviation. Great RLO and a great guy. Bravo sir. AFC👍👍
went to air assault with boyle in 2018 and oddly enough went to ranger school with him in 2014 as well. small word. Congrats Rangers!
Captain Boyle was my platoon leader at 173rd . Congrats to them both.

Ft. Benning is tough in general… home of the infantry! OiF1 /2003 I was there same Cycle as Pat Tillman R.I.P. we got pushed really hard by the drill just knowing that we were going to be going to see combat🇺🇸

My grandson is now wearing that same uniform BCT begin April 3rd at Fort Binning, his plans jump school then on to SF 18X. Then he said, grandpa after SF school, “I'm going to try for Ranger Training.” That is a lot of stuff! Well, for me to hear of all his plans, I could not comprehend his desire, but I'm happy for him. I was on active duty in Army for 13 years Vietnam veteran, so I am very proud of him for following in my footsteps - US Army Once and Always Army.
SF is a 2+ year pipeline if he wanted a ranger tab he should have gone to RASP prior to trying out for SF at selection. Hope he makes it and isn’t stuck being an infantryman!

Sleep and food deprivation combined with constant physical exertion can produce hallucinations. Back in the early 80's I thought it was the strangest thing for a picnic table full of food to be about thirty feet away from me when a voice asked if that was what I was seeing. Apparently it's a common one. One Ranger later chuckled saying crazy is trying to put a quarter in a tree for a can of Coke.
Sitting in okee fenokee swamp and a boat full of girls in bikinis put puts by and the only thing your buddy says is,”Do you think there’s food in that cooler?”

CPT Boyle, how do you see your adversaries to your right rear with that headgear? In Vietnam we wore berets in combat, not as ceremonial headgear but in war. Congrats for winning; something I never could have done, even when Ranger School was - different, but more fun, in the 60’s

Have the thinner, lighter Hot Weather OCP uniforms held up as well as the regular OCP uniforms during intense competition wear ?
It’s a lot better as far as airflow and breathability but the downside is once it gets soaking wet it retains water more then the regular ACU and can become heavier
Considering the fact most of them wore the Hot Weather ACUs I would say it did pretty well.

None of those reps would have counted during my time. Those were chin-ups. I think crossfit has infiltrated the military...

What battalion
Corson is attached to the 75th, correct? His patch is on his right arm. Boyle is in the 75th because his patch is on the left arm.
Both are in the 75th.
Left arm unit patch, indicates your current assigned unit. Right arm unit patch, indicates the unit you served during a war time deployment. Both are currently assigned with the 75th Ranger Regiment, both served with the 75th Ranger Regiment during war.
Not for nothing the pull ups done in this video are poor form…

Officers shouldn’t compete in BRC

@@bigmemebarney6203 because BRC was started so that Ranger NCO’s could pass on their immense knowledge to other NCO’s. I did BRC a long time ago. What I learned in my 4 month train up was incredible. I passed that down to my young Rangers who I was in charge of. Historically officers spend maybe 4 years tops directly leading soldiers as where NCO’s like myself directly lead soldiers for over 21 years.
where are the black best rangers? the army is still racist
I wonder when we will see a team of women win best Ranger. Maybe we can add some equality by dropping the standards of best Ranger for them and allowing them to have multiple retries for failed events. Or, perhaps we can just give them a pass without them having to transverse the entire event to promote equality.

It's screwing service members over, they're cutting the force yet letting unqualified people in. When I got injured in 2016, they tried to put me out with nothing I had to hire a lawyer to get an MEB.

Just because you were once an Army Ranger, doesn’t mean you will always have the character of an Army Ranger.
