How much did you spent on all of that? I have a Dr appt next week. And just for a office visit is $400 and they said on the phone the IUI is going be about $2000. Than I go online reading other people stuff. And they say their was under $500? How?
I didn't pay for it in Scotland its free NHS pays for it and I don't work

Hey guys.. To anyone reading this... My husband and I did our first IUI yesterday. We became pregnant almost exactly this time last year & sadly miscarried at the end of April.

@@jennijassu5402 1st IUI was a failure, so was 2nd. In 3rd IUI she became pregnant. But miscarried on 9th week. We were so heartbroken. Gave everything in God's hand. God has his own way and time. She is now 31 weeks pregnant. We are expecting a baby on 3rd week of January 2024.

Wow, just wow. I watched your entire video, and am really appreciative of everything you shared. My husband and I are older, and *just* turned 43. We just had an appt. with a 2nd fertility dr. (Oct 2018) who is amazing. Our 1st fertility dr. (April 2017) went right into pitching us IVF before he looked at any test results. Tests = HSG, blood work, inner ultrasound, etc. In the 1st appt, the 1st fertility dr. was building his case for IVF without having an understanding of my tests, and didn't conduct any testing with my husband!
Needless to say, we found a 2nd fertility doctor (female) just last month who wanted to TEST everything first, to determine if IUI vs. IVF was best for us. After more testing, we learned that my egg QUANTITY is good for 43, and my husbands sperm count is good. Therefore, we were great candidates for IUI. We have our first "training session" with our fertility doc this Thursday. Fingers crossed all goes well. Wishing all of you THE BEST in your fertility journey.

I was in the same boat. I asked my nurse for my test results when she got to my LH level she said wait, I'll call you back. Immediately she called back and said to come in the next day for my iui. We would have missed it otherwise. Lucky me 12dpIUI and got my BFP yesterday! Congrats to you! I am anxious to get through 9 more weeks!
I’m so happy I came across this video! There are so many thoughts going through my head right now and I have a few similarities to your condition prior to getting pregnant. I married my Husband a month before I turned 35 (5.21.21). I had never tried to conceive before (I was previously married but didn’t get to that point before the divorce). I also have Endometriosis - as well as PCOS. We just began our fertility journey in December (I was classified “infertile” because I was 35, had Endo, and we had been trying for six months. I go for my HSG in a little over 12 hours, my trigger shot is in the fridge, and I’ll be doing the shot on Thursday (3.3.22). Thankfully, my experience with our fertility team has been vastly different but you gave me some things to think about if we have to do the IUI. I’m so very sorry that you had the bad experience with your team and I’m so glad that you followed the leading of God to urge you to take the OPK. I’m praying for a successful fertility journey and thank you so much for sharing your story!! 🌹🌹🌹❤️❤️❤️🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Such a great example of taking your health and fertility into your own hands. I also experienced the care with my first IUI as very sub-par (it was unsuccessful). I was doubtful if I ovulated, my follicle was only 16.5 on the last check, and the clinic is closed on weekends, which just seems ridiculous. The key is definitely timing, and information and knowledge is power. Thank you for sharing your story. We are the experts, its our body! Such an important lesson, let's empower ourselves with charting and taking ovulation tests, understanding cervical mucus, and position of the cervix! Congratulations and Best of luck to everyone.

So inspiring and helpful! I just did my IUI yesterday and feeling quite uncomfortable since then. I'm only 25 but already had 2 previous surgeries prior to this which resulted to losing one of my ovaries (due to huge cyst) and a lap (due to abscess). So my OB and us hubby are really a bit frustrated and we're looking forward to this. I hope our iui will be positive. I only want to think positive thoughts right now. Fingers crossed! Thanks for sharing your story. I’m 38 years old, ttc for 13 months, unexplained fertility , first IUI three days ago, husbands count was over 400 million post wash with great morphology(yeah, I know, I can’t believe it either) - crossing my fingers it works !
I also recommend women to check OPKs to determine their cycle pattern. I was like clock work and I could feel ovulation pain always on day 12, because of this, I pushed for an early ultrasound date on day 10 and I had two 20mm follicles. When I followed their protocol (ultrasound at day 12) I completely missed my ovulation. Unfortunately doctors follow the text book and not every human is cookie cutter with ovulation at day 14. So educate yourself, do your opks and advocate for yourself.
I want to first say Congratulations! I am so happy for you! I am 41 and trying for my first for a year now. I only have one ovary and I have already been told I have low egg reserve. My husband I will be doing IUI for the first time this month. I hope IUI #1 is a success for us! It feels good knowing there are women out there 39-40ish struggling along with me. This is a wonderful video. I am 38 and we've been trying since May and being older, it's tougher. This would be our first together but I do have a 12-year-old son from a prior relationship. We go to our first infertility appointment Wednesday and we're both fine (my progesterone was really low at first and tried Clomid since August) and he had his swimmers checked too and all okay now. I finally am good as of September 2019. I am so glad things worked the first time for you both!

Thanks for sharing. This gives me hope. Just had my first IUI today. I only took Clomid for 5 days prior. Did ultrasound and every thing looks good with 3 follicles as well as my husband's counts are great too. I'm 32 and have been trying for almost 2 years. Hopefully baby soon!

Im happy you took in your own hands and took an opk to see . I asked my fertility office if I should get those . They told me no, they handle everything. I kinda wish the day of iui they check the follicles to make sure they are were they need to be , before proceeding with iui.

I’m having similar experiences with my fertility doctor. I’m basically in the dark about my ultrasounds...they haven’t given me follicle measurements or anything. All I know is I have 18 follicles which is great. The nurse had me order $200 worth of injections I haven’t used yet. They said we’re taking it slow with follicle stimulation to lower the chance of multiples. I’m on my 4th day of Menopur with bloating and cramping in my ovaries and I have another ultrasound on Sunday morning. I’m hoping our IUI is next week and that we’ll be as blessed as you on that 1st try!

I am having the same experience! Everything was going as planned and I normals ovulate regularly ( we have male factor infertility) and I went in that Friday CD11 for a follicle scan and they called that day and said I was ready and they were going to do the iui that day ? I questioned them because I wasn’t supposed to ovulate until that followed Monday. But she said my labs showed I’d ovulate over the weekend. I trusted them and went ahead but felt the whole time the timing was just off. I got my peak opk Sunday night so I ovulated on Monday like I thought and this iui failed .... this cycle I will definitely be trusting myself and speaking up !! Thank you for sharing your story ! That’s the encouragement I needed !

First time, we were very sure that the procedure was done when the egg was on its way out. So it didn't work. When we did the second IUI, the doctor said that the follicle hadn't ruptured by then. We were asked to come next day for scan and we found that it had ruptured. My wife always a had a funky feeling when she ovulates. So I was sure that the rupture had probably happened a couple of hours after the procedure had been done. Timing is everything I guess. Now she is pregnant with diamniotic twins. The doctor told me that more number of successful IUI cases turn up right now when done prior to egg release. Also, I found here in India, there were some restrictions earlier barring IUI treatment before egg release. Great story Yom. Thanks.
Are we the same person?! This made me so hopeful! They found a polyp on my uterine lining. It wasn't big enough to cancel my IUI, but he mentioned that it can prevent pregnancy and if I am not pregnant after, that I will have to have it examined more thoroughly before going through with another IUI.
I also had a peak OPK the morning I was supposed to take my Ovidrell later. My clinic didn't tell me to take OPKs either. I called them to let them know and they wanted to see me today for an IUI. They did want me to take my Ovidrell last night though.
I was super nervous about the peak OPK and being too late as well as my polyp, but since your story is pretty similar to mine, I feel 10 times better now!! THANK YOU!!

Hola . Did I get pregnant .? I had mine on Monday first time
My boyfriend and I will be doing our first IUI this month. After 3 failed medicated cycles. We have to travel 2 hours for the procedure because it isn’t funded in our local town right now. Fingers crossed it works because this stuff is no fun.
Update. Our cycle was cancelled due to lack of progress on my end :( follicles never matured
I am also reluctant to have all the technical side with IUI but as you said pride aside.. I'm heading to my very first one next week. I'm on Letrozol/ Femara- no side effects either! 💪🏻💓 I am 38, a choice mom.🍃

Thanks for sharing!!! Your story is similar to what I’m dealing with now. I’m due to trigger tonight and IUI Thursday morning. I would appreciate if doctors could be more sensitive to what’s needed. The instructions you felt you should have gotten was essential. They should have given you more instructions...I’m hoping we do this one IUI and it’s successful. Congrats again!!

This is similar to my experience the entire process. Although my Drs office was truly helpful and had me take the opk and call immediately when I peaked. Sorry your experience was not good. But glad you have your blessing. My IUI was today and I'm praying for the best. Thanks for this video it really helps!! ❤❤

I just had two iui back to back I had one yesterday and one the day before yesterday. I used an opk and everything looked good. Perfect Timing. Now i will wait the two weeks and Leave it up to god. If it’s gonna be then it will be 😊

I just did my first IUI last week! I have PCOS and anovulation. I took 7.5 ml of Femara days 3-7. I had a scheduled scan on cd11 and started taking opk's on cd9. The morning of the scan I got a positive opk. I didnt mention the positive opk to my Dr right away, but im glad I did. My follicle on the left was measured at a 21 and she started talking about the trigger shot. It was a friday and she would have had to send me to the next town over to get the IUI the next day. I mentioned the positive OPK and she was like, wait what!? that changes everything, we are doing this today!! Now im waiting, and freaking out:)

2 days ago I saw our first 2 lines during my 4-year marriage and after 9 days of IUI experience. Hopefully this is the good signal for me and my husband. I have been waiting for the 2 weeks for checking to the fertelity center

Thank you for sharing this! I’ll take your advice with doing the OPK before hand because that was my worry with taking the trigger shot incase my follicle releases early I don’t want to mess up my one shot

I just had an iui done last week . All my tests came back normal so my Dr said I just might not be ovulating on my own.6 more days till I go in for blood work! This video made me hopeful although I haven’t felt any pregnant symptoms 😕

I had my 1st IUI 2 weeks ago, but it didn’t work. I & my husband are so healthy and all our tests were normal, so we are really upset of the negative result.
Hi! I'm just now following your TTC journey and I must say that I really disliked my fertility clinic as well. I didn't think my Dr. really cared about my best interest, he was very "by the book" & I believe that's why my first IUI didn't work. But we just got our BFP! So fingers crossed that it goes well. =) congrats now on your little family!

I am 32 years old. I have also done iui. My urine test is positive. And my beta hcg test is more 3000. I have also developed OHSS after my fertility treatment. It was moderate and tge condition is ok now.Still my sonography is not done coz it's too early to be seen . Can u tell me that am I pregnant?

I am going to do IUI this afternoon. Thx for the Video! I am also sick today hope it won’t affect the fertility. I have only one follicle at 19 mm and I received the trigger shot yesterday morning. Hope the egg is healthy!

Hi. I was wondering if your iui was successful?
My follicle was 21mm and my hubby sperm count was 51mil. Trigger shot was pregnyl. IUI was the next day and sperm lives for 5 days you would have been fine.
I really agree with you Connie on the fertility clinic. Oh the frustration! I am looking for a better one (if there's any!)
TheMagicRiddle - It's tough to find a fertility office that actually cares about the patient and their success because it's so much about making money... Good luck in finding a good place!
This makes me wonder, becos my friend went to see a 'fertility specialist' and they got told, ivf is the only way, due to low sperm count, i wonder if that is the answer or if she can actualy go thru iui which is a alot cheaper and can be started pretty much straight away, as i dont want her wasting time hanging around..:/

i am 32 and just did iui half hour ago.my doctor told me we can do iui again tomorrow if we want ,I have no idea about it ,but my husband said maybe tobdo the second time is better ,so we gonna do it again tomorrow.

thanks for sharing. im dealing with secondary infertility. my first came in 2 months but weve been struggling now more than a year. were seeing a specialist next month and hope to do an iui. hope it works too for us.

Thank you, this video was very helpful. I’m having similar feelings about the fertility clinic I’m going to at the moment. Been seeing them for 4 months and had one unsuccessful iui…. And I have never seen the doctor since our initial consultation. All communication and treatment has been through a nurse. My one regret is not tracking my own opks…. I hope the next cycle works for me.
