It's kinda crazy how good Forth Eorlingas is. It's basically playing the role of entreat the angels back when it was played in miracles in a similar shell (RIP Sensei's Top // Counterbalance goodness) -- but it's just so much better with the haste/card draw
my vintage cube playgroup was talking about it last weekend in the context of fireball. it’s a fireball that costs one white more. except it does 2x damage. and it gives you the monarch. and it can create one blocker for every x you paid and chose not to hit with. and it pitches to solitude. i’m sure there’s like twenty things i forgot to mention too.
I'm reasonably convinced that they just didn't playtest it for 1 vs 1. Making a bunch of dudes is fine, making dudes with haste is very good. Haste AND trample, AND they are 2/2s is really pushing it. But then adding in that you are always going to become the monarch is busted in single player, especially since you make a bunch of dudes and you can use some of them as blockers. It's gross. While Entreat can possibly be better if you miracle it out, Eorlingas is better in far more situations and you don't have to worry about putting it on top of the library.
It's the sad result of WotC deciding that traditional control decks aren't fun, and then trying to counter them by making every good card be a permanent that has five abilities.
Im confused... Why would brazen B be cmc 5 and questing druid be cmc 2 as he says @ 1:26:39 Can anybody explain that to me? They are both adventure cards, are they not? What am I missing here?
@@kageotaku OK. Thank you. Thats what I thought, but when I think there's a mistake/infraction/punt, and the answer that I come up with is "LSV is wrong/mistaken" I auto default to believing that I'm either missing something obvious or Ive just always misunderstood the rule/interaction and it has never come up until then.🤷♂️🤪🤣 It usually turns out that, indeed it was ME who was mistaken, and not the PT hall of famer. Funny how that works out.. 🤣😂🤣

Yeah it's good for X=1 on an empty board and devastating for X=4.
not many cards are P1P1 pickable above Ancestrall Recall in vintage cube. Forth Eorlingas is one of them.
How far we've come since jtms was the control blue pile finisher.
Every day we fall further

And when Tarmogoyf was a broken card...
the one ring really put the nail in his coffin
Think he missed a land drop at 57:00, he only played one through Uro
Usually you see this deck running Up the Beanstalk to pair with Leyline Binding and Force of Will unless this was recorded pre-Eldraine.
if i was playing something like this for eternal weekend, i would play beans over ring
His opponent names Up the Beanstalk with cabal therapy in match 2. It was recorded post Eldraine.
The deck has a ton of card draw, but you could use beanstalk over ring if you are so inclined
I kind of want to put some beans in this deck.
It was bizarre to see Leyline Binding and no beans. Most Bant+ piles ran prismatic ending instead before Up the Beanstalk was printed
Yeah that's the first thing I though when I looked at the decklist too
Love the Legacy Content!
No bean stalk?
oh dang, LSV playing constructed!
Wow, what a pretty funny deck!
^no beanstalks? i like it more than ring

He is wrong. Brazy is 3, Druid is 2.

No Up the Beanstalk?
I would play Beanstalk over The One Ring
This need beanstalks
The title doesn't even spell the card name right...
*Eorlingas
It's intentional. It's a pun
🎉 Uro 🎉
this looks like 480p upscaled to 1080p. massive waste of bandwidth
Oh no! That poor bandwidth!
@@lostalone9320 ever heard of carbon footprint? or is that too big of a mental leap for you?
You must be fun at parties if an upscaled MTG video is making you this salty@@busTedOaS
