The sap you’re probably thinking of is actually tree resin(so this is why they feel so similar)! Sap is(example) what comes out of the maple tree before made into syrup. It’s liquidy and usually clearer. The thick, sticky stuff you feel from messing about with some trees or what you can see oozing out is actually a natural resin!
These are NOT your basic resin geode coasters. And I love it! They are so unique and beautiful. I am absolutely in love with that glitter, it is so magical. I don't think I've ever seen red orange used and it looks so good! Awesome job!

You should try (if you haven’t already) dropping the white alcohol ink directly onto the resin already in the mold!! Also if you find your silicone molds getting dusty or attracting fuzzies while you aren’t using them, you can wrap it with cling wrap and they’ll stay perfectly clean! Love your videos 🤗 keep it up!!
May be helpful to allow your resin to thicken a bit before pouring to prevent as much mixing and sinking? Don't get me wrong these are very cool, but the geode look may be more effective?

Do you have any tips on how to make sure you let your resin sit long enough to make sure they are completely hardened before taking them out of the mold or any recommendations on what the best brand of resin is to make these with ? Also I would have to say that the blue and purple ones are definitely my favorite!

I will say I like how the glitter looked on the candy corn one it does give a better geode vibe because the glitter pieces are smaller which most geodes tend to have ( depending on the type). i would also implement some small crystal chips into to the the centers to give that agate slice look. All in all they turned out amazing looking forward to your next video.
Love these! As soon as you de-molded the first coasters, I thought “space geodes!” I am definitely more partial to purple and teal vs yellows and oranges. But all of them are lovely!

I would drill a small hole in them and either hang them in a window with a suction cup or make a mobile out of them. Whatever it takes to get them in the window so you can see the beauty!

I've just always used alcohol ink to get a sort of stained glass look but idk if ive ever tried transparent pigments! I'll have to look for those & try them sometime! 💕
I have an interesting question. Can you use resin coasters as trivets? That round pie slice set would make a great trivet for my crock pot, but would the heat melt the resin?

Also, quick note, if you do not want your resin colours tumbled together so much, wait until the resin is a bit thicker. As in let it sit for 10 min to tack up some. You can then move it around a bit with a heat gun after pouring.

amsayyy and it’s verrrry hard to get off to ur car lol. Never park under trees
True sap from trees maple and peach trees would be great. But you would get very little for art. Indians used sap sealing gourds and some clothing.
i love the colors once cured,and how the bigger glitter settled and gave a 3-D affect when flipped over.
