- Hey everyone, it's Tamara, and in this video, I'm sharing my personal story about why I decided to leave Chess.com’s partner program after a year and a half.
I want to take a moment to express my gratitude to Chess.com for the opportunities and support I received during my time as a partner streamer.

When a Valorant streamer with 2k viewers raids another streamer, they do so with a party of 1800.
When a ChessCom streamer with 2k "viewers" do the same, they do so with a party of 50.
That's your real audience, the people you have in chat, interacting with you, with or other viewers, following, subscribing ...
But that's what you had before !
The misleading and inflated number comes from people who have read the news on their website, let a tab open. They have your stream in a corner of it, and sadly, will never pay attention to it...

It's a finished system by the beginning because even if they "hire" as many as streamers they could, all those streamers will always ending like you (stagnant) because they already have the chosen ones. It's not like a stimulus system, I mean, like each month we'll promote 10 new streamers just for help them in first step. It seems the only objective is to hire as many streamers as they could to avoid concurrence.

I think you make a good point about their social media and them not sharing anyone but the big names, they could do more to help people become bigger chess personalities even if they aren't they aren't titled players - it would be good for them, good for the streamer and good for chess

All I sound is passive-aggressive language and not knowing why a channel grows in the first place. Being partner with anything is not a magical formula to growth. Its what you do. If what you do is interesting / novel / creative / fun, then you will grow no matter what or who you are partnered with.

I’ve been streaming consistently for 2 yrs! Trying my very best to make it work

organisation, and while she's a galaxy viewable any area on the night sky I am but a mere dot you may have overlooked….ultimately, you may have acquired your own keys to a new Ferrari and in no regard does it mean you’re able to produce Ferrari numbers for a podium position…."
You're so tunnelvisioned on channel growth instead of enjoying creating content, not liking that vibe, but that's personal.
I can see why you’d think that judging off of this video, but it’s actually not the case. Growing my platforms is just one aspect of content creation. If I didn’t enjoy it for what it is and want to improve its quality all this talk would be for nothing.

Lichess is much better for players it boosted my elo by just being able to analyze after every game and learn from my opening and mistakes etc
just to say this honestly,people watch Gotham and botez because of their personality as well.
if you don't develop a captivating personality yourself that catches attention,it really doesn't matter where you would stream your gameplay in.
stream engagement and being sponsored are two separate thing.
Yeah this is common sense, however I don’t think my video says anything about feeling like my personality is lacking, just exposure from chesscom
@@loneliwinter you'll get exposure if you put 1 piece of content that baits people to click.
doesn't have to be something extreme,you can take example from witty alien YT short (creator of alien gambit).
the more people are attracted by first impression,the algorithm will help you with the exposure.

@@loneliwinter I was suppose to be partnered up with an online friend of mine, we did community events in a virtual space for about 2 years and some change. Long story short, we clashed a lot creatively, so I did my best to remedy that by me doing my events my way and letting them do their events their way (this person had a habit of hawking over things I did , like I was a newb, and it was annoying), it worked out pretty well imo... but I noticed this person was trying to phase me out of things, like meetings, and having my roles in the community down graded.... so I said fuck this I'm out, and I started my own thing just a few weeks ago. It feels much better not being under someone's thumb.

Yeah pretty much wanna play on lichess, there are many reasons for that, also didn’t feel like advertising a brand without getting much substance in return - there were freebies and exposure, but it didn’t end up being what I was looking for
I switched to lichess coz i think theres less cheaters there

Definitely! But that is why I didn’t feel like I need to stay. If it’s a me problem that I have to fix, I don’t need to stay exclusive and loyal to a brand!

If you're a Chess.com Partner Streamer, you can't stream or do content on any other website. By leaving the Program, I can stream on both.
