DK Jungle Beat's Monkey Fest: Smokin' Simian Style -- Designing For Donkey Kong December

Donkey Kong Jungle Beat is a tragically overlooked game. Passed over as a gimmicky title in the same vein as Donkey Konga, the game is so cool in HOW it uses the DK Bongos controller to create one of the most enjoyable platformers that isn't limited by its gimmick, but thrives because of it. Jungle Beat at a high level is an amazing experience, and nothing illustrates that better than one of the game's earliest levels that puts its unique charms to the forefront: Monkey Fest.
