I think they were trying to go for the whole dark Raiden vibe from Mortal Kombat deception in Armageddon cuz they reference it in the beta when you have Raiden vs Raiden in a mirror match honestly kind of cool can't wait for the game to come out I play competitively but I'm mostly interested in the story that's the one thing that will never change about me I suppose and I'm interested to see the interactions between him and Liu Kang again
Raiden is like a better Dumbledore, he let's his hommes do most of the heavy lifting when his immeasurable powers could have solve every problems they have in minutes.
I'm not sure but I think I remember hearing that raiden was created based on a character from an old 80's movie called "big trouble in little china"(classic action movie you guys should watch). The character was 1 of 3 villains called the "3 storms" I think 1 had rain powers, the other had wind powers and 1 I know had lightning powers. They all wore a similar hat as raiden also. Just wanted to share that info if anyone didnt know.... once again it's a great movie.....💪😁✌👍
