So either they turned up the backing track of pure incompetence, or because of the mic. That's the only way I can see it, because there's absolutely no reason otherwise. Her vocals are strong despite dancing so hard.
I’m gonna vote for the pure incompetence as I had to take out a LOT of backing track to actually get to the vocals, don’t know why they made it so loud.
I also noticed the high note on the last chorus is longer in the performance than compared to the official studio version. Which in itself... should prove that she sang that herself live.
Am I the only one who doesnt care if its not 100% live?? Lol Maybe because this competition is the search for the next big hit song, so I was focused on the song and its catchy as hell! I love the concept, if anything Alexa added the needed spice to elevate the song visually, with the great choreo and staging. I think if this was a singing contest then heck yeah, I would absolutely say it is breaking the rules to have backing vocals, but maybe Im appreciating this whole thing based on the purpose of the contest, and she delivered that. She performed well enough to sell the song. It’s the same way I would view a model on the catwalk, some may not be the prettiest or the best walker but in the end my focus is the clothes. If the clothes are great, I would still buy it, even if the model wearing it was not perfect.
@@priincessdxnii r u good I’m saying that it’s actually live bc some ppl are bashing her that it’s not live bc the note wasn’t perf that’s an indicator she sang live 👏
This is what I've been saying. If the vocals this channel have isolated, are the real ones, then her team during rehearsals and setting up the sound did her major dirty. I lost respect for her when I realised she wasn't singing live (or at least, inaudible). She needs to put her foot down and prove her vocal ability to shut people like me up.
@@80PercentScottish well, talk to her team, talk to the sound engineers cause she can sing and it is her team's fault that the backing track is so god damn loud
@Jace Appel right, that's what people keep saying. So how am I or anyone, or the juries, supposed to judge her vocals during her performance? In Eurovision, she'd have likely been disqualified for that whether her fault or not - the delegation as a whole would have broken the rules.
@@80PercentScottish The live audience and juries heard a different audio mix. We got the _broadcast TV mix_ as decided by _broadcast TV sound engineers._ The people in the room there got the live mix, a different mix based on the same inputs, from _the contest's separate audio engineers._ If you've ever heard differences in, for example, a major press conference carried on all channels (say, a disaster declaration), its the same principle. Different networks make different decisions.

how the heck is AleXa still able that high note despite dancing soo much!?
IS IDOL

Exercise, and lots of of it. She works out like a beast, special focus on cardio. You should see her do her run, she doesn’t jog, she goes full on.

yes it is possible to be this stable while dancing, i've tried .-.
seems many had too loud of a backtrack so definitely just incompetence, and she slayed the 2nd stage for those thinking she just lipsynced
Tru MR removed bc that high note was great but not perfect
