    The Js and Qs were such handsome locomotives. Image if steam had lasted another 12 year. Then I would've seen them!

    The Pennsy T1 is the most badass steam locomotive ever, IMHO. Wish they'd come out a little sooner, and stuck around a little longer, so I could see one run in real life.

    What is a Pennsylvania railroad 4k?

    • @howiesmith1504
      @howiesmith1504 Год назад +1

      No such thing as a PRR "4k." You must mean a Pennsylvania Railroad K4, a large 4-6-2 type for fast, heavy passenger service. They were one of the all-time classic steam locomotives. The first one was built in 1914, the road acquired 424 more from 1917 to 1927, and except for one that was wrecked beyond repair in the 1930s, the entire class remained on the roster until dieselization. Theyllkkjuhb ,v c.f. dress t pretty much set the basic pattern industry-wide for fast, heavy passenger power in North America until 4-8-4s and 4-6-4s appeared c. 1926-1927. Check 'em out on Google, Wikipedia, RUclips, etc.

      The [4K] refers to the video quality.

      @trainknut 4 года назад +1

      There is, but it's very brief and not the best quality.
      It's on one of the green frog ones I think, I can't remember which specifically.
