    sorry but why at time 8:57 on the right we are not putting a dot also per A-A ? thank you very much.

      The dot is there - it is just in the center of the 3 character window. The window size 3 comparing ACA with ACG matches and gets a dot when stringency is 2 ;-)

    Thanks for the video. Do we reach to same results while applying the Dot Matrix algorithm and Needleman Wunsch algorithm? Are the outcomes of the Dot Matrix algorithm much narrow in size compared to the Needleman approach? I mean, if I reach 4 answers by Needleman, do I get the same results in Dot Matrix, or will the results be less?

    if you have a window of ten an changes it too one, will the noice increase or decrease?

      Noise would increase if you change from a window size of 10 to 1

    How can I interpret the results of a dot plot analysis to determine which sequence is longer at the 5' or 3' prime end?
