This year Georgia is absolutely different from everyone. inspiration for this song is a world changed by a pandemic. Combining with the elements of nature, being alone with yourself and thinking ... What is more important in our lives - perhaps man and love! ... a super song with a culminating finale and ... a mix of a variety of blues, pop and rock! ... complete relaxation while listening to it. I think this is one of the songs that i will listen to in coming days, no matter the rank they get, will not perish right after the contest. This song has a different soul 💓
I understand everything you said and I see why people don't like this song. But for me, it's so relaxing, calm and somehow refreshing! I agree that production is not so good, the lyrics are so simple too, but... The simplicity of the lyrics here emphasizes the pure honesty and rawness of the song. The message could be understood on three levels: 1. as if this is literally a love song about falling in love and how it develops afterwards 2. about getting back to nature, as we're undeniably part of it - which is especially popular nowadays as ecology is one of the main issues 3. the combination of those two in the context of current lockdowns, which made us long for both nature and (falling in) love I may be overthinking it, but imo the beauty of the song lies in the lyrics, cause you don't need to be on the proficiency level in English to understand the song as you want (maybe there are even more meanings that I couldn't find lol) and that is the definition of art :)
I think you put a really nice point across there... there's something entirely beautiful in just being able to connect with the audience, there's no need to overcomplicate things
I have grown to appreciate this track immensely. The structure and rhythm contrive the musical sound and movements equivalent to the ocean. It is growing, pulsing, ebbing and flowing. I think the production is a bit "indie", but lovely and balanced. The melody and instrumentation in the verses are a bit weak and naiivistic; probably too little movement in this part of the song. All in all, I find myself warm and dreamy after listening to this song. It stands out in Eurovision. Somehow I am getting John Lennon vibes from this composition and sound (does it make sense to you?). Acquired taste, for sure, but I am connecting with Tornike's "You" :)
I agree with you, when I listened to this song, in its sound I somehow caught John Lennon's vibe, I really like this composition. I'm sure it will be better on stage.
@@nonanoni7555 Fingers crossed that Georgia makes it all happen on stage in Rotterdam, would take a small miracle, but I am sooo hoping to see this in the final ❤
This is so sweet. Really sweet. But it would be sweeter if someone with less aggressive vocals would do it. But still, the contrast between his rough vocals and the soft music creates something. I like it a bit, it’s in my middle. But it is utterly utterly without chance, unfortunately. It reminds me a little bit of something John Lennon would’ve done if he was alive today.
Sounds like a song that comes free with a wellness magazine. He clearly wants to tell us something, but the message is lost through lack of momentum. Might be handy to meditate to.
I don't get what Georgia was trying to do either but like at least the song is interesting? It feels like some kind of experimental rock ballad from like the late 60s early 70s from like a deep deep b-side for a musician that never got signed. And because it leaves me so "huh" I think I actually like it?
I don't think I'm the public from this song. I love a good ballad, but this just bores me. I love Tornike's voice, but he deserves better than this. I can't see this qualifying. I'm agreeing with you a lot and that's really surprising. Hugs, my dear friend!
This song is kind of weird in my opinion. The lyrics aren’t too creative and instrumental wise it’s not the most interesting song, but I love it. What makes me love this song is mainly the tone in Tornike’s voice. To me it really sounds like he mean every single word he sing. It makes me forget how uncreative the lyrics and uninteresting the instrumental is. I don’t think I would’ve liked the song as much if any other artist would’ve performed it, but with Tornike’s voice I get goosebumps pretty much every single time I hear this song!
You know what, since we're agreeing way too much this year I will write my comment before even watching to be 100% sure i'm not being subconsciously influenced I actually think this one is pretty nice, it's not something that stands out much or that I go back to, but it's an enjoyable listen while it's on. Just a relaxing entry for the most part, though I could do with a better mixing together of the end belting with the instrumental.
On any other year this would do way better on my ranking, but since nearly no songs are terribly bad this year this ended up on my bottom three. Its one of the only 3 songs I have not been able to connect with at all.
This is just okay, I was just hoping after they delivered the uniqueness from last year they would continue on the rock feel and would take advantage of his awesome voice range, but this is just fine, very cliche with the lyrics, pleasant but will stand out in Eurovision?, I doubt it, at the best case maybe.
This is in my bottom 10... it doesn’t grab me and compared to many other songs this is severely underwhelming. It has grown on me a bit but I don’t anticipate it growing on me any more. Georgia is a wildcard in Eurovision they could send something absolutely amazing or not so amazing at all.
I don't understand this song at all, tbh, and I don't think I like it. The only thing I really have to say is that it amuses me how fast the tempo is, when it's such a slow song. (I think it's probably in a non-4/4 signature and that's why it feels that way, but it's still strange!)
The tempo isn't really that high, all comes down to what you compare it to as other ballads may emphasise a half-step beat so you'd consider it half the tempo of what it may actually have been set to. It's a rather complex matter altogether Tempo can play tricks on you, it's the restrained manner of how the instruments play the constant rhythm that makes this feel slow, it lacks the energy making it seem like a slower and draggier song, I hope that makes sense
Tornike Dissapointed me. I really like his 2020 entry and this is such a downgrade. I think that Georgia and North Macedonia are only two countries that are certain NQ.
His voice is interesting but the song is not. It's so slow, and there's so little going on, that it becomes hard to keep listening until the end. Georgia's edgier songs like "Warrior" and "Midnight Gold" were great. Maybe next year, Georgia.
Music for the soul, cool!

Underrated imo. I find it quite pleasant and charming. My 17th
I can see why this is last with the bookmakers
Funny how Albania is the only one lower

A lovely song, but Georgia is "bringing a knife to a gunfight".

its sweet its charming..nothing really special a little bit boring..thats it
Stretched slow motion notes. The part at the end should have been also in the middle to give power to the song.

The most boring song Ive ever heard
It's so... boring. I freaking loved his entry last year so much!!! But this is just not memorable. My 38th.
