    How can you be a club member and question the steering ?
    A Datsun Z is a true golden era classic sports car. Hell no it's steering was always on point.
    Your car needs urethane steering rack mounts, and a new steering column rubber bushing and bolt kit if it's missing the bits that make up the factory setup.
    A Z has a very direct and capable steering, ALWAYS.
    Your wider tire choice ,just exasperated the 50yr old wear in the parts I've mentioned ,you need to replace.
    I have a 73 240Z and a 78 280Z steering is rock solid and on point.

    How was this the first Datsun sports car exported to the world when the Fairlady 1500, 1600 and 2000 had already been sold globally.
    Also the 240z was specifically designed for the USA market and had been originally pitched as a design idea by Yamaha to build a sports car with Datsun.

    How did it get past roadworthy with faulty steering ???
