Just love to see men, singing like this. You don’t see it often in USA. My dad sang, my husband sang…..brings back beautiful memories. Thank you for sharing.
My Grandfather sang a lot, old WWII songs, it was great, lots of sing-alongs on road trips. It's strange though because while watching this I was thinking how therapeutic that must be and such a great way for guys to open up in a wholesome manner, makes me want to start a dude choir
I once was on a regional bus leaving Stockholm for home (45m away), and the unusually full bus held a good choir heading to a conference center for a getaway weekend. They sang the whole trip and I rode much further than usual, because the looping bus route gave me a longer but easily doable walk home through the forest. It's these serendipitous concerts that are always the best, always joyous.
When i was a young boy i went to upper Canada village one time i heard this song outside of pub that was the time i heard this song and absolutely loved it shout out to the Scottish we love you here lads cheers to you lads
My Father and Myself pipped my Great Grandmother out to this song when I was 8 years old, that was 38 years ago. It’s absolutely lovely so see life in traditional Music again, thank you.
Holy crap me too . 3rd grade Sr. Joselita had us singing constantly . 1 of her favorites was Old Black Joe . I hear the gentle voices singing , Il Black Joe . What happened man ? Kids dont sing in grammar school no more ? Fuckin pathetic !

I sang this on my last day in high school as a farewell to the school, and if I'm being honest, my gf at the time. Legitimately one of my favorite songs of all time.
After your marvellous version of Fairytale of New York, the second great video that RUclips shows me. Wonderful atmosphere with wonderful music. I hope I don't have to apologize for my heart beating for Ireland AND Great Britain. In any case, the subscription is yours. :) Cheers from germany
My dad 30 years ago used to hum this and explained what the chorus meant. He doesnt ever remember anything like that, but I do. I sing this to completion to my nieces sometimes much to their chagrin, but our thing.
It feels so heart warming to watch you guys sing, especially during these gloomy days. Love it and can't wait for a next video of you singin' ❤️🥰. Love from France
I was singing this while walking the west highland way with one of my best mates a few years back, didn't realise it was called Loch Lomond (I only new some of it by memory). For those of you who don't know the west highland way walks the banks of Loch Lomond. Hearing you guys sing it gives me the chills.
Holy shit I was pretty sure this exact arrangement is one we performed in high school, but once the 'dai dot. dot da dai dai dot' kicked in that's 100% the one we did, I'm sure of it. It's so good to hear it again!
Love you guys your harmonies are so beautiful I wish I was born in Ireland 🇮🇪 so I could be there singing with you,so I shall sing along with you in my home and drink my Guinness. God Bless All There.
I have watched Rocky Road to Dublin near 10 times today, and what's this I stumble upon??? Haha great to see you lads again, hope you're all doing well!! Happy St. Patrick's Day to all!!
I'm so happy that I got to know you guys because of My name is Gabriel! Your talent and voice helps me calm down and heal! ❤ So much love and more power to you guys!
I feel like this is a short version and I really really really wish you would upload the whole version - it's so beautiful and makes me so happy. Can't wait to visit Ireland again. Greetings from Germany :)
The high road is taken by the soldier who survives. The low road is taken (through the underworld) by the soldier who is dying. Going through the underworld is much faster.
The best performance i have EVER seen! Love your sound guys! I hope to see more of these pub- or livevideos! I listen to your two pub-songs for months and they give me some special vibes and goosebumbs - everytime! Sending best regard from Germany :)
Marvellous performance and ensemble. I hear you guys in the mornings to cheer up my day. How I miss “my Dublin”. 🍀 Greetings from a Mexican in Germany.
It is the hymn of the FC Cologne from Germany and voted recently as the best hymn of all german football clubs. Intersting to see the roots of my favourite club anthem! ❤🤍
There are few things that will move me like good harmonies. I spent six years of my life singing 2nd Bass with the _Gurt Lush Choir_ in Bristol (yes, there a shed-load of vids out there!). The choir is currently disbanded because COVID meant the choirmaster had to go get a 'real' job elsewhere to pay the bills, but I still need to sing! I have to find a choir or a group like yours somewhere close to where I am :)
@@maximan4363 Bless you! And thankfully, the Gurt Lush are now back in operation in Brizzle, operating out of Redland, St Andrews, and Knowle, with regular gigs all over town. Looking forward to whenever the old 'Colston Hall' or whatever it's called this week re-opens, as I need to hear the choir in a big hall again :)
Pls upload more of this epic Pub Night! We need more of this Content in this shitty Lockdown Times! Gosh i want my local Pubs back.... Greetings from Germany :)
We will get there at some point when as we all work together. I want to visit many parts of Germany just like you want to visit many parts of Ireland. When you do visit, have fun and lots of it. Sláinte

My Dad sang many tunes to me and my brother. So did my Mom. Wishing to hear some female voices here from time to time.

We sang this on Loch Lomond - it is beautiful story about a Jacobite who gives his life for a younger man.
I once was on a regional bus leaving Stockholm for home (45m away), and the unusually full bus held a good choir heading to a conference center for a getaway weekend. I'm from Germany and only recently heard of this song by singing it in music class, but I've been in love ever since.
When you´re from Germany you should know, that the FC Köln stole this melody for their Anthem "Mer stonn zo dir, FC Kölle"

When I was in Catholic school we used to sing, "You'll take the high mass and I'll take the low mass, and I'll be at breakfast before yeh...!"
