    Here is a brief video of how I drain, clean and store away my inflatable hot tub. I purchased this Coleman Saluspa Cali Inflatable hot tub from Walmart. Our backyard space is limited and I like the fact that it can be easily transported or deflated to store away when not in use. My family and I have put this incredible hot tub to good use for the past 8 months. We are currently in a drought and entering the cold season, so it's time to store this baby away for the winter. The maintenance for our hot tub is fairly simple and straightforward. I highly recommend reading through the entire manual and watching a few other RUclips videos about how to clean your hot tub to make sure everything goes smoothly during maintenance. In addition to the hot tub, I purchased chemicals in advance to keep the water sanitized. Definitely do some research on how to keep your water clean, but basically ensure the pH level is in the range of 7.2 and 7.8 using your test strips. Anything below or above that range can cause skin problems. After the pH is balanced, add bromine to appropriate levels, shower before jumping into the hot tub, wash out the filter after each use, and shock the water with jets on. When the jets automatically shut off (approximately 30 minutes) , cover the hot tub to maintain the heat for your next use. The heating element goes up to 104 deg and the bubble jet is amazing. This hot tub is meant for 3-4 persons. We are a family of 4 and both of our kids are under the age of 10. We can all sit comfortably, but it's much more comfortable with 2 or 3 people inside. Overall, this turned out to be a good investment because we don't have access to pool or hot tub nearby, so my kids will have a blast this summer in their own how tub.

    My coleman spa has a deflate kit that sucks it all super flat in about 3 minutes. Why are you bothering to manually push on the plastic to deflate when you can't possibly do that better than it's own pump can? Also, why would you suck on a filthy hose instead of just screwing the hose onto the builtin drain? Is this what happens when you don't read the manual?

      I agree with you totally, why do people put videos on RUclips if they don’t know what they’re doing?

    You can use the pump and adapter to help deflate the tub.

      I just let it naturally deflate.

    Why wouldn’t you just use the drain valve on bottom of pool? What’s it for, if not to drain it easily

    How come no one connects the hose to the drain?

    Does residual water in the pump just drain out by gravity?

    After I clean mine I dry the inside with the air pump.

    What to do if the hot tub lid has water in it?

    • @LYLAHome20
      @LYLAHome20  2 года назад

      Hi! I haven’t had that issue yet, but I would remove the water just to avoid mold. Did you fill the water pass the max line?

    • @ALotusMonster
      @ALotusMonster 2 года назад

      @@LYLAHome20 well, the valve makes it hard to get ALL the water out, there's definitely still moisture in there. I imagine it's from kids crawling around on top of it and smushing it into the water.
      I just don't want it to mold and wasn't sure if someone had figured that out yet or not.

    • @LYLAHome20
      @LYLAHome20  2 года назад

      @@ALotusMonster I’m sorry there’s water in there! It shouldn’t affect the function too much, but maybe deflate it and have someone help scrape all the water out.

    Great video. When do you undo the plug that is inside the tub on the bottom?

    • @LYLAHome20
      @LYLAHome20  2 года назад

      Hi Wendy! If it’s the plug on the very bottom of the tub, you would only want to unplug when you want release the water during draining.

    Plus, the pump comes with deflation kit. You literally did everything twice as difficult as it need be 😂. Why make the video when you obviously aren’t well versed in its use.

    I would also just have #Saluspa as a hashtag. They’re made by Bestway so you’ll cover all the folks that don’t have the Coleman rebranded tubs. :)
    Did you find a storage bag to hold it? I was thinking of one of those Christmas tree/Holiday storage bags.

    • @LYLAHome20
      @LYLAHome20  2 года назад +1

      Hi Nosirrahm! It’s oddly shaped so I didn’t find a bag to store, but a Christmas bad may help keep dust off depending on how long you’d store it away for. We took our tub down when we were in a drought with all the summer wild fires. We folded it up as neatly as possible and stored it in our garage on our roof racks along with the machine. We just took it back out after 7 months and it works great!
