I feel like Suraj would have gotten this, but Season 3 Episode 1 was ALL about the budget cuts and network notes, starting with the song, and ending with the dean saying that this year wont be any different, just with less money
i kept thinking about abed's view on storytelling when i was watching christopher nolan's tenet. because it seemed like every character on that film just constantly acts so logically but sometimes that cheapens the dramatic effects of it all.
Its hard to tell a scary story or type one, sometimes visuals are enough, sometimes some stories are scary cuz it paints a disturbing picture in your mind.
Good catch about it being a bit odd to have two similarly constructed scripts back-to-back! That was not the original plan. This was always supposed to be episode 5 in that it's the Halloween episode and so it was pretty much fixed in time. But Elementary Chaos Theory was originally planned as the third episode, but in editing Dan felt a couple bits didn't have adequate clarity, so they decided to reshoot a few scenes (a budgetary no-no, but the results speak for themselves), so it got pushed back to episode 4. They referenced this at the very beginning of the episode, when Annie and Britta arrive outside Troy and Abed's new apartment numbered 303 (a reference to the season and episode number) and one of them says, "Wasn't it 304?"
Each story briefly sums up the character telling it: Britta’s was rebellious, protested against social norms, and got some what messed up Abed’s was calculating, emotionless but still funny, and showed everything as one big film cliche Annie’s started to act sexualized but grew darker with a personal grudge Troy’s was filled with child like wonder and was being cool in his own way Pierce and Shirley’s go without saying Finally Jeff’s was short and made for an angle
The 2nd trailer for Dragon Ball Super: Broly just came out. Unlike the 1st movie trailer, this one doesn't have spoilers for the end of Super, so I think Nahid, Micky and Suraj can watch it
How did they not think about the gun in Annie's bag from the other timelines in the previous episode? Especially considering that they didn't think that the other timelines were just imagined.
7 a lucky number? Its the most unlucky number:/ Its the only lonely number because The set of numbers written differently: 1, 2, 3, 2x2, 5, 3x2, 7, 4x2, 3x3, 5x2 With the exception of 1, which doesn't affect multiplication anyway, 7 is the only one that is not paired up with another number. So as Moe said, only one group can be a multiple of 7. How lonely.
@@jerodast they were only worse cause Britta didn't sing Roxanne. You can literally say every timeline was worse when Britta smoked weed. Rana is just a bitch
@@DeepAire If you actually think deeply about it AND pay attention to the episode, Jeff mocks and belittles everyone in the group; shutting Britta down was just one example. So it's more than fair to blame him for their dysfunction and misfortunes.
Meh. 3x05 is a decently entertaining episode with a few memorable lines, but that's it. Compared with season 2's Halloween special, it was pretty lame. Even with season 1's, which was more energetic and spontaneous. Oh, and does the ginger on the right ever laugh when he finds something hilarious ? :D
When Annie said "Beetlejuice", it was the 3rd time they said his name throughout the show, thus Beetlejuice appeared in the background.
haha was just gonna comment this its at 3:27
Yup! This joke was 3 seasons in the making lol!
The greatest and most subtle running joke in television history.
Dan and His community writers were so point here
He was in the background when Slater said it in the parking lot too, I'm pretty sure.
The fact that Jim Rash aka Dean Pelton is an oscar winner gets me every time
And Ken Jeong aka Senor Chang has a medical degree.
Suraj slowly developing a crush on Annie is a pretty accurate representation of the majority of the fanbase.
and then GLOW blows your mind
@@iGaveLiaHIV it's good???
I know right at first I was like “watch a annoying girl”
Then comes season two/three and I’m like “oh damn😍”

Annie's werewolf transformation wasn't that cheap for 2011
That song that Abed's radio played is "Daybreak" look out for it throughout the series it pops up a lot
You're wrong. It 'pop pop's up a lot throughout the series.
@@lifesurge6088 well played good sir well played
Thanks. I'm a Community fan so it's nice to hear from other fans who enjoy the show as much as I do :)
I just had to say it lol
The reason for that is Roxanne being played 6 times cut out their music royalties budget.
So yeah, Daybreak in Season 3 it is.
Abed us a student of human character and knew exactly which answers to pick to get whatever result he wanted, and Jeff filled his out randomly anyway
*Awesome funny scene that makes everybody laugh*
Pat: Hilarious.
“I like that blue, Annie...”
- someone has a crush...on my woman!?
the third beetlejuice mention of the series produces an actual beetlejuice
Suraj: Abed is the crazy one..or Pierce
Community: Actually only one person is normal ... It's Abed.
Suraj: I knew it.
😂
He changed his mind once he knew that one person was sane. And called Abed.

The guy on the left has a bad case of the Annies. :)
who doesn't.
Don't we all?
Annie's young, we try not to sexualize her
suraj crushing on annie, sAME
Damn, you guys cut right when Beetlejuice showed up
3:26 Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Beetlejuice
It would be great if you guys did a Normies sketch about each of you doing your own version of a horror story like Seven Spooky Steps.
You guys should react the seasons bloopers as well! They're pretty cool.
i was happy to see you finally got to this episode, best one in the series.
I know it's still a looong way to go (and not sure if you will be doing whole series reactions anyway), but i can't wait for Asscrack Bandit episode.

"GAY MARRIAGE" is maybe my favorite line in the show xD
Daybreak, the unofficial theme song of Community. If you are having a bad day, play it
The main thing I remember from that episode when I was a kid was the last story. It sounds so much like a Chick Tract!
I don't mind the similar concept for these two episodes.
As someone with aspergers, I DO find it amusing Dan Harmon would direct a film where the obsessive kid with aspergers is the saint of the group
that pat impression was spot on! :P
SIX SEASONS AND A MOVIE
My true legacy, telling Suraj "Lost is shit" in a video lol
definitely

Robin's exile to be announced soon as a result of blashphemic comments regarding Tim's.
Beetlejuice !
Annie said it and look what you can see in the window behind her ;) @ 03:26

Robyn for the win! Damn that rhymes
Finally someone recognized Troy’s Loc Dog hairdo
I was waiting for him to say the words "fool dog mark ass trick" at some point, lmao

Why are Abed And Jeff the only sain members of the group?
They cut the beetlejuice part!!!!!!!

Everytime they say beetlejuice. Beetlejuice walks in the background. Nice thouch

Suraj - you don't have to constantly say what's going on. The other Normies have functioning eyes, ears, and brains.
No he needs to. I need that esp for future D&D sketches lol😂😂😂
Yo, I've been looking for the past three season episodes for someone to mention this in the comments
What exactly is Michelle norias and erial norias discussing??
