- This video shows the different types of slab and their subtypes. There are three main types of slab while each main type have their subtypes. Slab is a horizontal flexural member like the member which is able to take load in compression as well as in tension.
Some types of slabs are:
One way slab
Two way slab
Ribbed slab
Beam column slab
Solid slab.

Can we convert a single story house into double story without destroying for damaging it
I mean construct the slab without breaking the lower part of the house
Its dangerous because a double storey has a different deeper foundation for columns,about 1.5 metre,and double storey must have concrete pillars or columns

If the slab of 4.5" placed over the columns of 9"×9" and the beam also 9"×9 and the distance between two columns are 4.5 meters then the building is safe or not?plz reply
No one can say that your building is safe or not without performing analysis.

room wide 12 feets and length 14.5 feets 14.5 feets is maximum and the slab 4.5 " and column 9"×9" and beam also 9"×9" then the building is safe or not?plz reply soon
