Whats better than one beautiful, talanted girl singing one of your favorite songs? You guessed it. Three beautifully talanted ladies doing a great version. Great post and good luck from a hopeless 60's romantic.
You gals on vocals and the musicians did a fantastic job - your hard work and detail to get this song as close to the original is amazing. Keep it up!!!
all i can say is what a treat to listen to your voices and carry every note ,exactly the way petula clark did it and kudos to all the musicians! God almighty in heaven you guys really give these girls what they need...that full orchestra sound! wow. this made my day here in clark new jersey on a partly sunny day as i recover from major back surgery! God Bless all of you! what a splendid Job!!!!!!!!!!!
WOW.......I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS GROUP. They sound better than most of the original girl groups did when they sang live. Most of them sounded so bad live they had to always lip synch when they appeared on a show on TV. The only way many of them could sound this good was with a lot of tweaking in the studio. Pet Clark was one of the exceptions of course. These girls are flat out incredible. Every one of their cover songs I've heard them do is as professional as it gets for live singing. Wish I'd discovered them. If it was 1964 these girls would be in the top ten.
Thanks for the comment. I'm sure Petula wore great costumes, but she was a women while we are projecting the girl group look. As I said in the explanation of the song, here's one example of the thirty-something Petula singing in the girl group style. It is not our intention to look glamorous, rather teenage. Additionally, one of the mothers spend hours making those outfits and they are the correct look for the group. We received many compliments for the outfits and I applaud her efforts.
Absolutely fantastic. Pet Clark (and Tony Hatch, for that matter) would be pleased. It takes pretty strong pipes to do this song justce, and your lead singer does just that. Nice back-ups, orchestra back-up is oustanding, gives that song just what it needs. What a pleasure to listen to this. Makes me want to get to upstate NY for one of your shows! THANKS for posting.
@itsmypartygirlgroup Keep up the great performances, hope you come to England some time soon. Great to see young talent mixing it with the oldies. love it!
i looked at the photo an thought well this should be good for a laugh but know what i loved it great job girls i realy enjoyed it good to see the oldies are still alive an kiking.
The young lady on the right (Katie?) also sings lead (and has a nice voice); don't know about the one on the left but they probably all are capable of doing a lead vocal, though I think this particular line-up has long since moved on.
Fosbury, thanks for the comment. Yes, it was. One caveat: the audio file was captured on a portable on-site recorder, not from the microphone on the video camera. The sound and video was synchronized, somewhat successfully, afterwards. There were no enhancements given to the video or audio.
@itsmypartygirlgroup Forgot to add, I'm in England! Hope you can get over here sometime. Failing that, please keep posting the vids. The vocals and music are brilliant.
These English pop songs from the 60s are such a lot of fun to sing. Watch 'Pet' singing this to Sacha Distel, he falls head over heals in love with her.
It's pretty good ain't it? A real red hot crack at a big song and they nailed it. Your economy of word usage is highly commended. Straight to the point. Cheers to you Slick and the singers in this performance.
Yes, those are timps. We also carry vibes and symphonic chimes, bad on the back, but great for the sound. And to think, all we really needed was a computer ;)
You must have a semi for the equipment! Fabulous sound. I don't think anyone who listens at your concerts realizes just how hard it is to nail the harmonies, balance the sound and get an arrangement that comes across so strong. There are groups I know that would love to sound like this in the studio, forget the road! Excellent work. Props to your road crew (if you have one)!
There is so much cool stuff going on in this video. First, the song itself. Then, the perfect execution of it by the singers and band. What does the lead singer say to the tall girl singer on her right during the intro? But how about that heart-warming little girl dancing like a little angel at the lower left corner of the screen during the first verse (until, I suppose, some adult told her to "Stop that!")? And I know it's silly but I always imagine that that is Otis Redding's ghost hovering over the drummer's head at the left side of the screen.
i absolutely ADORE this group and these girls. i generally pay no attention to cover bands but its my party are so stunning that they have two songs in my all-time top 2000 music bucket list: 1) "i couldnt live w/o your love" and 2) "will you be staying after sunday". MEMO TO THE ADMIN. please, please, please work on a campaign to get your subs to 1,000- youre only 90 peeps away!!! perhaps you can add a p.s.a. of the young ladies at the beginning of each video encouraging the fans to join? then hopefully you can monetize the videos to help produce even more. i would love to see a ton more videos of this cinematography and audio quality of these gorgeous gals~ lil bro
@JubalCalif I have to echo your comments!!!! What great FEEL GOOD music! This video will leave a smile on my face all weekend. Thank yoo ITSMYPARTYGIRLGROUP!!!!!
Even with the Viet Nam Conflict, Campus Unrest, the Struggle for Civil Rights, and the Kennedy and Martin Luther King Assassinations, the 60s were still better than today. And that's a crying shame.
Besides the stunning vocal harmonies and spot-on arrangements, where on earth did you find the white go-go boots and pink frocks? You look like you raided my older sister's closets from 45 years ago. They were triplets and dressed just like this.
Whats better than one beautiful, talanted girl singing one of your favorite songs? You guessed it. Three beautifully talanted ladies doing a great version. Great post and good luck from a hopeless 60's romantic.
WOW! I feel 16 again, and I'm 62! Wish I could see your group in person! THANKS!

Wunderbar gespielt und gesungen. Sehr gut. Alles Gute weiterhin 👍👍👍
Great job as always. The drummer nails this just like he does on the others. And by the way, the outfits are FABULOUS!!!
My god, I just can't stop coming back to this video. I love this so much! You ladies are so good!
Me too! And I 'm a recovering guitarist!
Their voices, interpretation, and musical accompaniment makes them "habit forming!" Great job one and all.
Watch it every night so I go to bed smiling.
Hello folks, Martin from country Australia here....Yep. I vist this weekly.
You gals on vocals and the musicians did a fantastic job - your hard work and detail to get this song as close to the original is amazing. Keep it up!!!

Girls look nice in gogo boots
In the first minute, on the left side, on the bottom; the little girl reacting to the music ? Priceless.
She knows music.

I checked all the other "Covers" to this song. This is the best one.

They should also do "Don't Sleep In The Subway", as long as they're covering Petula Clark.
Brilliant.

Cantan lindo, tienen gran talento.
I'd love to hear you sing "Sign Of The Times"....
+centralparocker 888 We will learn that one.
Besides the stunning vocal harmonies and spot-on arrangements, where on earth did you find the white go-go boots and pink frocks? You look like you raided my older sister's closets from 45 years ago. They were triplets and dressed just like this.
You girls should do "Don't Say You Don't Remember" - Beverly
Bremmers That song would be great for your band to do.
Nice music
Little girl in lower left corner STOLE the whole show!!!
