The DARK SIN of SOLOMON | The Wisest King With 1000 Wives in the Bible
Solomon is the most famous king in the Bible for his wisdom. Among the kings, he offered sacrifices to God and asked for wisdom to rule the country. Solomon's request moved God and gave him wisdom and prosperity so that Solomon could rule Israel, God's kingdom. According to the Hebrew Bible, the ancient Kingdom of Israel reached its greatest glory and wealth during Solomon's 40-year reign. Solomon is described as surrounding himself with all the luxuries and grandeur of an Eastern king, and his government was prosperous. However, as he grew older, he lost his devotion to God as before, and instead listened to his wives who worshiped their gods. As a result, by the time of Solomon's son Rehoboam, the united Kingdom of Israel had split into two kingdoms, Israel in the north and Judah in the south, with the descendants of David controlling only two of the 12 tribes (the kingdom of Judah)...
