Be strong girl. I was 27 when I found out I had Endometrial cancer. My Uterus and Fallopian tubes were the first to go. I had to go through chemo same reason you had to just to make sure there was absolutely nothing left. My ovaries ended up coming out as well. I had the option to harvest my eggs but didn't have the financial means to do it. So I am no longer able to have my own kids. It was very empowering for me when I shaved my hair and didn't wait for it to fall out. It will get better. And yes, we are ALIVE!!

That's horrible. Infertility should never have to be a financial decision like that. I hope the American health insurance system will get better one day to prevent people from making such decisions. I hope you will lead a happy life and find your way.

@@JM-kz5if yeah, they're also doing tests on capseicin (I have no clue if I'm spelling that right) but I think the main problem is them figuring out how their going to use it in other parts of the body that aren't the digestive tract, or for it to stay intact long enough if it's in the digestive system. Hopefully they figure this stuff out soon

You remind me so much of friend. She was diagnosed with leukemia when she was 16. Unfortunately the doctors in my country couldn't treat her so she went to England to be treated there. She stayed in England for 1 year and in September 2018 she was told that she won the battle against leukemia, so in December the doctors told her that she can come back home and she did come home for Christmas...but then after Christmas she went to the hospital again for some last shots and tests she had to do but then the doctors found out that some of her leukemia moved to the brain and sadly a day before New Year Eve she passed away due to some blockage. I still cry every time that i think of her. She didn't deserve any of this, she was the sweetest and nicest girl I knew.. I hope she rests in peace. She will be missed

I wish you the very best in your second chance at life.
I was 22 when I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. It's been 3 years since then and I'm finally starting to feel like myself again. Along with two different chemotherapies that were ineffective, I had to be in an immunotherapy clinical trial because my cancer grew back quickly (refractory cancer) and chemo wouldnt kill the cells fast enough. After that, I had to get radiation treatments in my hipbone and spine. As a safety precaution I had to get a bone marrow transplant. Essentially getting rid of my immune system and getting a new immune system from a donor to kill any cancer cells left. Before transplant I had to get more chemo and full body radiation. Fast forward to after transplant, a side effect of having a foreign immune system in a new body, they can attack the body. This happened to me. It attacked my skin, eyes, and GI tract. I ended up with huge ulcers in my stomach and intestines that bled non stop. I was losing blood faster than the doctors could put in. I ended up with IVs in both hands, my wrist, both inner elbows, my neck, and chemo port. All of them were bags of blood and platelets. Not sure what happened after that as I was in a medically induced coma for 10 days. After that was spending 90% of 2018 in the hospital. I lost over 100lbs....fast forward to today, hair is slowly growing back, I'm getting energy and strength back, started online schooling...just trying to feel normal again and finally seeing my fiance smile again. Even though I almost lost my life, I wouldn't change any bit of what I went through. It changed my life for the better. And for anyone currently dealing with cancer, Stay strong and always remember you have people rooting for your success and if you ever need someone to talk to, there are plenty of support groups that have immensely caring people that want to uplift and motivate you.

I get it. I had cancer when I was 13-14. Your body has literally betrayed you and your only means of survival is literally trying to kill you. The air thing didn’t bother me and I actually tried to make myself cry when it started falling out in the shower but couldn’t lol. I’m a better person for it, but I would definitely say it’s the worst thing that happened to me and it ruined my outlook on life.
Edit: I wish I could feel the same as her right now because it’s been two years now that I’m in remission and I still can’t try and remember the days that were so bad (my mom tells me things that happened that are just completely wiped from my memory aside a few flashes) or even just talk/think about my cancer without breaking down into hysterical crying. The only way I can talk about it is with that typical unhealthy coping mechanism of humor. I need therapy or something.

titi ekunsanmi take your time to accept, understand and move on from what you went through. You were so young and still are but it has changed you for the better. I wish all the best for you but therapy is something you should ask your mother about. It will help make the memories easier to deal with. You have only one body and mind. Take care of it. ❤️

i can defintely agree with you! i got cancer when i was 19 in 2017 and when i got the news i watched every cancer movie i can find to actually feel something or i woud sit in the shower and try to really think about it and my life and i did not have a reaction to it or a feeling. it took a while for me to try to associate myself with the word cancer or survivor although i have been in remission for 1 full year but it feels odd because although it happened, it didn't feel real even if i tried to sulk in it.
i wish u all the best and hope u can overcome the trauma of it without covering it with the dark humor although the dark humor of it is pretty funny, lol. sending u lots of love 💓

I didn't care about my hair that much and I actually tried to make myself cry too lmao. I can also relate on the forgetting everything about it. R U kidding me?! Really? Is it interesting to you to watch and know how people really suffer from such hard disease? Be thankful that you've never been to specific cancer hospitals, the seen of it is terrifying, seeing and hearing all that,I hope you're won't experience this ever. Case I've seen and been there when I was 15 because of cancer. People screaming there cause of the amount of pain

Дарья Лянгузова why are you freaking out? She is saying how hard it is and all the things you don’t think about that people are going through when they get cancer because movies don’t show you that stuff. She was doing the complete opposite of being disrespectful.

I got cancer at 17 and I had no one remotely close to my age going through the same struggles and hurdles that I was facing. Everyday was tough but also a blessing, blessed to wake up and see my friends and family, blessed to see, hear, taste! Cancer took a lot away from me but it does not define who I am. I'm 23 and thriving. Never take a day for granted, always see the positive and keep smiling! Thank you for sharing your story and letting everyone know that it's okay not to be okay, life is unexpected but we make the best of it ❤️ I wish you nothing but happiness survivor!

This video is so important. Back at the beginning of December, I found a lump in my left breast. I was terrified. I rushed into the doctor the next day fearing the worst. She sent me to get an ultrasound. I sat for fifteen minutes in total silence while the ultrasound technician ran the machine over my breast over and over again, again fearing the worst. I went to the doctor to receive my results and got bad ones: a possibility of malignancy. I’d have to have a biopsy immediately. The biopsy comes and I’m fearing the worst. The actual procedure was not as bad as the lead up or the follow up of recovering. I then spent the next week (the week of Christmas) convinced that I was dying of cancer at the age of 21. Come the Friday after Christmas, I go to the doctor, once more fearing the worst. But the results came back benign. I was so relieved. But even though I didn’t go through cancer like Megan did, I came out on the other side having learned the same lessons she did. Before my cancer scare, I would blithely say “I want to die” and mean it. Now, I want to live. And that is a beautiful gift. Thank you Megan for sharing your story. You are going to help so many people.

Shweta I had stage 3A thyroid cancer and had my thyroid removed and several lymph nodes about 9 years ago. Certain types of cancers warrant certain types of symptoms. Fatigue is pretty common for all types of cancers though.

    • @primroseverona
      @primroseverona 5 лет назад

I get it..my fatigue is one of a kind. Doesn't get well with rest, sleep, meds or anything. I have serios doubts on my thyroid lump, I'll be going for an excisional biopsy soon. FNAC came out confusing, possibility of malignancy..

Hi Megan, my name is Kate. First I want to say congratulations and well done. I know what it's like to battle this enemy because in 2013, at the age of 12. I was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma bone cancer. I went through the hair loss, nausea, fatigue, weight loss, GI sores; I went through it ALL. So coming from someone who is also a survivor, congratulations! You live today because of how hard you fought, and even if you fell and felt like crap, you got back up! I just celebrated my 5 years off treatment and 5 years cancer free. Make your milestones something waited for!!

My daughter (3) was diagnosed in July and we are happy when she is herself but it’s so hard to see her completely wiped out. She is a fighter and you are too. Your support system is your power to fight.

I got cervical cancer a few months ago. I’m 20 years old. The biggest take away I have from cancer is that you can let the whole experience be negative or you can make the best of it. I teach women’s self defense and educate people about cervical cancer now. Life is what you make it

my name is Roy Morris from Brisbane. This is for all cancers. This bicarb saved our friends life when she had an inoperable brain tumour with NO CURE and now months later she is back home independent, working again. Friends even took it to her while she was in hospital. Another man with leukemia is getting his blood count back to normal as well. Make sure you get aluminium free bicarb from a health food shop you just need the cheapest one NOT the expensive one. You can just use the kettle to boil the water to dissolve the bicarb in a cup with a bit of honey or maple syrup (if you don't like the taste) 1 teaspoon of bicarb 3 times a day to start with. You don't want to overload the kidneys by taking more than this. If you are going to use honey please source it from a farmers market or a local supplier as other honeys from supermarkets are made with chemicals, they even found the manuka honey is modified. www.herbscanheal.com/single-post/2016/03/16/Man-Cures-His-Own-Terminal-Cancer
Kerry, with the brain tumour, said she just took the bicarb and dissolved it in cold water 1 teaspoon 4 times a day as she is a diabetic. Much Love and Blessings...x

My dad died of cancer 5 years ago. I couldn’t be there because he wanted me to continue with school. Seeing you go through this made me wonder what he went through. I know he was very strong and you’re very strong for going through this and showing us what you went through. Thank you.
And I love your Captain Picard painting. (My dad’s favorite show)

i got it when i was 20 and i didnt suspect anything until i had severe pains and a constant semi-high fever that never went away for months WHILE i was carrying my son! i was about 7 months along and stayed hospitalized. had to have surgery 4 weeks after birth. i just had my last surgery this past october and im currently cancer free. ive never stayed in the hospital for so long in my life. it was terrible to be away from my babies. but im okay now!

I'm so sorry for this. I hope it'll all get better with your life, some of my family members and others have had cancer, some I know have survived, but one of my closest family members died because of it already 4 years ago, but she survived for years. Wish you the best, same for everyone.
