With dating, we talk about the importance of shared values when considering a long-term commitment like marriage. For all the Dance Moms fans out there, we also talk about how our favorite reality TV show exploited Brynn's parents' divorce for drama... anyone here remember the Family Court group dance?!

I'm just here patiently waiting for the day that Brynn and Kenzie end up living closer to one another.. and picking their beautiful friendship up where it left off. They have so much in common.. and I swear, they even look like one another. Two of my most favourite Dance Mom's kids 💖

There’s always a reason for everything and they were already rich they were literally on a tv show main characters duh. Don't expect stuff from people. If you'd like something tell them. Comunication is always the key
if your child needs to spell this out for u then u shouldnt be a parent. children learn their communicative skills from their parents, and if youre so disinterested in your child's life that it's started to affect them emotionally then youre definitely *not* modelling good communication skills and definitely *are* failing as a parent.
put your excellent communication skills to good use and hit up your parents to work out how they failed so spectacularly in raising u. it takes effort to produce someone so haughty and morally bankrupt, im wholly-impressed.
people should be allowed to expect that their parents care about them - if u want kids then that care and interest should come by default. one thing people shouldnt expect is compassion or critical thought from people online - i expected this (to a degree) and u thoroughly dashed my expectations. my bad.
i sincerely hope that u dont have kids - either presently, or anytime in the future

Sweetie that works great when all involved are adults, but if your child has to tell you that they want you to care about their life, then maybe you shouldn't have children. It's one thing to say "Dad I wish we spent more time together," but just generally giving a shit about your child's life is kind of one of the most basic responsibilities of parenting that should go without saying. (This is a generic "you," not you specifically just to clarify.)
Imagine your CHILD having to tell you “I want you to care more about me” for you to get it. Some parents don’t deserve to be parents.

Parents are people. If you know what you need it is ok to tell them even if you think you shouldn't have to.
Coming from a single mom that tries so hard but does make mistakes sometimes you have to tell them how you feel or what you need we do try our best to know but we are all human experiencing life different everyday amd sometimes we have to be told thongs cause we are also learning everyday as you grow and change just a bit of advice from a single mom that adores her kids but isn't perfect n always tells Mt kids if in doing something wrong or not doing something please just tell me just a bit of advice

It kinda seemed like Ashlee and Melissa alienated the girls from their dads. The Zieglers dad seemed quite interested in being an active parent. I bet Ashlee just talked crap on Brynns dad and created this narrative, just a thought!
Parents are never without flaws. Telling them what you need ensures they at least know where they are slipping. You feel you shouldn’t “have to tell them”… we’re not mind-readers. We need the help. No 2 kids are the same. One may need a different kind of support than another

@@hiwelcometochilis2022this whole “no grace for parents” thing is gonna really haunt some people when they become parents and realize you don’t get a handbook, you don’t get a reset on your brain wiping all of your mental issues, nor does it automatically make you a saint. Parents are human. Parents have anxiety and depression. So many are going through a grieving relationship with their parents when both people need to simply communicate. I just think that’s silly.

My heart honestly breaks for Kurt. I know I don’t know the situation but it really seemed like Melissa kept those kids from him as much as possible and gaslighted the shit out of him. I hope he and Kenzie can work their relationship out, hopefully this is a wake up call for him that she really does care and wants him to care. My mom did that to me as a kid, kept me from my dad, and I’m just so thankful he didn’t take his own life by the time I was an adult and realized he wasn’t the villain he was made out to be.
kenz and maddie literally talked about how kurt neglected them when mellissa was out working
6 year old maddie had to take care of kenz all by herself
mellissa didn't come to know about this neglect until she got a call from maddie saying she couldn't lift the milk container

Thats not true, Kurt wanted to be a part of Kenzie and Maddie's life, they are the ones who didn't want him in it, he showed up to competitions just to be ignored by Kenzie and Maddie, and verbally attacked by Abby.

I never knew my real father only of him from my mother really.. I have a step dad and have from a very young and idk why but I’ve never once felt any type of way about it.. never wanted to reach out to him or have contact. My “step father” has always been enough. He is my father and I’m so thankful. I’m not trying to be rude to you or come off weird I just wanted to share my experience from the opposite side! 🤎 I hope you can find whatever your heart needs, no side is correct mine or yours.. everyone is different and entailed to any feelings they have.

@somejerk1520 being the ADULT, means YOU meet the child's needs. The child most the time can articulate what they even need! Attention is the most obvious one, if you need the KID to communicate that to you, not to ve rude but you won't be the best parent.
I don’t think it’s fair that y’all only look at it from ONE perspective. The whole reason the divorce happened was because the kids and mom chose dance over the father. He had no fucking family because it was taken from him by his wife. He had 0 say in anything and never seen them. He wasn’t happy and he left. As he should of. You so easily act like he left his family. How about his family leaving him for a tv show that they’d later blame and act like victims of when they’re the soul reason it even became what it is. The show didn’t change that kid or the mom. The show followed their lead of being sly and manipulative. Being a child and already knowing to lie to your friends is scary. The dad probably also didn’t enjoy that and wanted to part of it as it’s literally child abuse then blaming the one who atleast let you be rich after the child abuse and pretend it was everyone else’s fault but their own.
