We also learn in the books that Alice has multiple degrees in fashion, Rosalie is into Science, Carlile keeps going to medical school to keep up with modern medicine, and Edward has had multiple lifetimes as a rich businessman who passes away and leaves his fortune to his next heir (who happens to just be Edward with a new identity). Bella’s dream is what told them. She had a vision in her dream of Victoria telling Jasper what to do, and she knew to take it as a sign. For future reference, movies tend to use the term “old school” to hint that they are against s3x before marriage. Edward didn’t ask Charlie yet (he says he would’ve if it was perfect), but they do tell her parents before the next movie. Sadly we don’t get to see it, but Mom is happy saying “finally” and Dad is a bit mad since he wanted to let Mom say no for him. Something to keep in mind is Vampires have mates like wolves. Victoria was mated to James, and the coven are all mated pairs. They don’t always take on the family role, sometimes they live separately as their own families. Bella is supernatural she is human so it is possible to have feelings the regular way. So she can fall in love the normal way. So she unknowingly falls for Jacob the human wav. But she didn't know. In the new moon she thought it was a crush and didn't think that it wasn't possible because she already found her eternal soulmate. And in that moment that she got mad at Edward about Jacob Edward realized she did love him. Bella had to kiss Jacob because the wolves have an issue with their emotions that can get them killed. Jacob was mad because he thought he still had a chance with Bella and Bella kissed him because she had to show that she actually did have feelings for him at one point. Moreover, I found it intriguing that the film tries to portray her as this unique beacon that both Edward and Jacob are drawn to, but honestly, I felt it leaned too heavily into the trope of the “chosen one” without providing substantial depth to her character. There's so much potential in her backstory and personality that just doesn't get explored! It would have been refreshing to see her navigate her own struggles, build her friendships, or pursue her own goals-anything that could highlight her strength apart from these relationships. Additionally, the dynamics between the characters sometimes felt problematic, showcasing what could be interpreted as an unhealthy balance of power.
