I’ve traveled many times as child in a 3 wheeler, never driven one though, with the current climate of excessive prices for fuel including electricity, cars like this will be a viable option, these cars in their day were affordable and low cost family transport, my late grandad and late Dad loved these cars.
You're just as lucky as my son to ride in a 3 wheeler as a child:) the first Reliant Robin was actually made during a fuel crisis, so given that and your points, it's indeed a viable option:)
It does feel quite odd at first because although it corners like a 4 wheeler and grips well, you can feel that it has 3 wheels when going over pot holes and speedbumps. It's almost as if the car suddenly gains a fourth wheel when you turn. But it's very fun:)
Everybody never go by Top Gear On how stable reliant robins are if They were that unsafe and unstable they would’ve never been allowed to have been sold but the lesson kids drive With three wheels safely, not like a maniac that’s the code
Also if you can join the Reliant owners club first and try to look in depth mechanically wise. You will need to do work on it eventually. It's a simple car though.
My dad editted this video. I told him it was a bad idea and he still uploaded it. I editted the full version myself to prove him wrong. I agree with you.
That’s if you turn the steering wheel to full lock going really fast then it will turn over but the older robins were know for tipping but the rialto had different bodywork so it didn’t Tip over easy Top Gear Rigged that reliant in that episode so they don’t tip over as easy as they made out they do of course they’re not the most stable car in the world, but you Can Tip a car with four wheels over as well so when you drive a fourwheeled car, you’re not completely exempt from tipping it over unless you’re going crazy speeds round the corner and driving like a maniac A bit of advice here don’t drive like a maniac in a reliant robin that’s the code

All best from Scotland God bless Argentina. thanks for comment.
"What the fuck did I just see traveling past me??" - Other drivers, probably
So good Reliant
Glad you enjoyed!
The RUclips algorithm has blessed you with my like 👍. Also cool car
I appreciate it.
Clean interior
Thank you!
must be a weird feeling going into corners for the first time with this :)

Atleast you dont have the fear of scratching the alloys 😂
You're never close to a curb in such a small car lol.
Imagine Mr.Bean's Car approaching from behind when going at 80 kilometer/hour with this thing. 💀
I would step on it lol. The Reliant was always a quick accelerating car. By 1970s standards for eco cars of course.
They may laugh at your car until you tell the MPG you get in it.
ikr
Question from a future reliant robin owner here, is it true they don't have a reverse gear?
It is completely untrue. Every Reliant from the 1950s onwards had a reverse gear.
Also if you can join the Reliant owners club first and try to look in depth mechanically wise. You will need to do work on it eventually. It's a simple car though.
Ok, thanks for answering my question 👍😊
Just a Robin with square headlights.
Can a 6 foot tall person drive these. A mini is too small
I'm 180 cm and I have plenty of room, up to 190cm you will be ok maybe even a taller person.
Whats the name of the song? I wanna blast it in mine.
I think that comes from Movie Maker generic sounds
why the annoying music? who else was here for all the little whirs and chunders these old cars make????

@@John-ci2sd Alright
@@Pidge0386 I'll try to get this one deleted once the new planned video is out.
@@mrjed6912 nah dont delete it, the new one is out i think
these robins were really unstable , the BBC tested one and it turned over if you steered it to much :-(
Not one stunt performed in Top Gear could be done by a stock Robin. The cars in the episode were modified.
