- Day in the life living on my sailboat and traveling through the Caribbean. We're still waiting on our weather window to open up for a safe passage to Antigua on Saturday so we're tackling a few cleaning projects on the boat today and (attempting) to figure out what's wrong with this stubborn toilet.
Honestly so ready to get back on the ocean and sail to a new island. Need some energy! Is this video my best work? no. But gosh darnit I am daily vlogging and I am not going to miss. Thanks for watching!

You can test those switches with a multimeter to check for resistance. Swapping them is another option, but it's more work. If you're unsure about how to do this, look up how to test electronic switches with a multimeter, both with and without power. I'm not trying to act like a know-it-all, but as someone who was an electrician for 14 years, I'm just giving you some time-saving tips.
You can also test those motors by hot-wiring them with an outside voltage source, but make sure to disconnect them from the power source to avoid backfeeding. Use the correct voltage for this; there are specific tools for this purpose, but you can use any appropriate voltage source. I believe some portable voltage packs have hookups for this as well.

Something I always do when I have a switched motor that doesn't work is to bypass the switch and run 12V straight to the motor to see if it even works at all, if it does work then i go backward, if a known good switch doesn't work and the motor does work when the switch is bypassed then there's got to be relay/bad wire/or crossed wire in between them somewhere. Good luck, love the daily content.
yup great way to do this if you have limited supplies and tools to work with. But first check the breaker or power supply LOL, I don't know how many times I have been called out to someones house just to flip a breaker back on! Quick $75 bucks back in the day!
